Lunch Pail Ladies: Virginia Tech Football Hostess Program
August, 2013-present
Serve as student-athlete ambassador and liaison between Virginia Tech Football and
an average of 300 football recruits per season. Hand selected to be one of thirteen
football hostesses out of approximately 225 Virginia Tech female athletes. Identified
by football coaching staff and womens soccer head coach for admirable leadership,
dedication, and enthusiasm on and off the field. Help coordinate the set-up and
execution of football recruit unofficial visits each home game (6-7 games), arrive
three hours prior to kick-off to begin activation of visit. Communicate regularly with
football administration and coaches to maintain excellent relationship and provide
outstanding service to recruits and his guests. Facilitate relationships during recruit
visits, administer facility and campus tours, and answer questions regarding campus
life. Attend two mandatory workshops hosted by Career Services and NCAA
Compliance. Assist Director of Recruiting with preparation and organization of three
Official Visit Weekends and one Junior Day. Represent student athletes by
presenting to prospects and guests during three official visit weekends and Junior
Day. Support other official football events such as Frank Beamers Ladies Clinic,
Hermas Readers, and Spring Game

VT APPLE Conference Team 2013
Team comprised of 2 student athletes and 3 Athletic Department Administrators
challenged to evaluate the alcohol, tobacco, and other drug environment within their
athletic departments. Required to develop and implement specific action plans to
enhance prevention efforts.

VT Actively Caring Leaders 2013: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic 2013
University-designed study abroad course about leadership and administering
leadership initiatives. Visited poorer parts of the country to work with
underprivileged children within different communities. Teamed up with Deportes
Para La Vida (Sports for Life), an education program located in the Dominican
Republic, to educate kids on topic such as: prevention of HIV / AIDS, healthy
decision-making, and youth leadership. Lessons related to these topics were taught
through different sporting activities.
