With over 800+ million active users, Facebook has definitely created their space in the world of social media. In the beginning, in 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, a sophomore at Harvard University, founded what is now known as Facebook as a platform for Harvard students to communicate with each other on a social level. From the very beginning, Facebook was intertwined in a barrage of legal issuesall the while; the site continued to grow and grow to become one of the largest websites in the world. Todays statistics regarding Facebook are mindboggling to say the very least: More than 400 million active users log into Facebook daily
On average, people on Facebook install apps more than 20 million times every day
The Average user is connected to 80 community pages, groups and events
On average, more than 250 million photos are uploaded per day Every month, more than 500 million people use an app on Facebook or experience Facebook Platform on other websites
Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 5
More than 7 million apps and websites are integrated with Facebook More than 350 million active users currently access Facebook through their mobile devices
For up-to-date Facebook statistics you can click here https://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?statistics to get them from Facebooks site. Now that you know some of these statistics, is it any wonder that people have quickly figured out how to not only socialize on Facebook with their family and friends, but also are working around the clock trying to figure out how to monetize this phenomenal social networking platform? My name is Jerry Williamson and after studying Facebook for several years, I have found that Facebook offers us a great opportunity to build social capital online. But one important link I think most are missing is the opportunity to strategically build a team of Referral Partners as well. To me, Facebook is like attending a large networking event. Every time you log on to Facebook, you are in essence walking into a networking event where you have the opportunity to meet people and build strong business relationships. The average person on Facebook has 130 Friendsso every time you log on to Facebook, you are essentially walking into a room of 130 networkers. I personally have just over 1,400 Friends on Facebookso each time that I sign into my Facebook Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 6
accountI am mentally prepared to network with my 1,400 Friends. As in face-to-face networking events, the same holds true with online networking: most people have no idea how to network! So heres the thingthe majority of people who attend networking events show up at the event, head straight to the bar to get a drink, then to the buffet table to consume a few hors d'oeuvres, then they find an empty space against a wall and wait for people to approach them. And, if they are lucky enough to be approached, they listen for about 30 seconds and then start talking about why the person should buy my stuff. Rinse and Repeat! The majority of the attendees leave the networking event in dismay that they didnt pick up a new client. And, after attending a few of these networking events they come to the conclusion that networking just doesnt work. Networking DOES workyou just have to know how to network! And, with online social platformsI have found the same to be true. Most people sign on to the site, and lurk and sit there and wait for someone to come and say, Hey, will you sell me your stuff. Every day people are overlooking this online cash cow when they ignore the possibilities of building sincere relationships with their Facebook Friends. Facebook is essentially a megaphone for you to broadcast your message to hundreds or even thousands of people at one time. The trick is that your message cannot be Buy my stuff. The message must be Id like the opportunity to get to know you. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 7

The Facebook Profits Formula is just this: 3 Cs + 1. Build a Community, gain Credibility from your community, and then you will get sales Conversions from your Community. But as you will notice in the diagram above, there is a missing component to the formula that most people missand that is having Conversations with your Community. The ONLY way you will build Credibility with your Community is to actually have conversations with them. Remember: All things being equal, people like to do business with, and refer business to, the people they KNOW, LIKE, and Trust. Holding conversations with your Community is the +1 C in the formula that most people overlook. I have found that the majority of people will set up their Facebook account, start adding friends, and almost immediately start promoting their product or service to them: Buy MY Stuff! They want to jump from Community straight to Conversion. And, from a business owners perspective, heres the beautiful thingas long your competitors think this is the way to market within the social media platformsYOU will beat them into the ground! So, dont share this formula with ANYONE! You want your competitors to think that Community = Conversion! Gaining Credibility through having Conversations is the key to being successful in face-to-face marketing as well as online marketing. And, the longer ONLY you understand and practice this formula...the more you will stick out amongst your competitors. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 10
Building the Community Building the Community Building the Community Building the Community
The first component to be successful in building your Facebook Community is to create a thorough and exciting profile about yourself. This is one of the most overlooked steps in this process and actuallyit all begins with your Community having the ability to get to know YOU! Now, before you say, Ive already created my Facebook profile so I can skip this partDONT! In this section I am going to show you WHY its important to have a well-thought-out profile. As a matter of fact, if you arent good at writing, you may even want to consider hiring a copywriter to do this for youits that important. Your Facebook profile page has been ingeniously laid out so that you can create connections, establish bonds with your friends and eventually gain loyal Friends in the process. Loyal Friends will be the secret to you gaining Credibility on Facebook! The first thing you want to do for your profile page (Timeline) is to upload a high quality professional photograph of yourself. Please understand, I am not talking to the people that just want to be on Facebook to chat with family and friendsI am talking to those of you who realize the power of Facebook in marketing your business. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 11
And, I realize that some people may need to work with a faux profile for various privacy reasonsjust understand, it will be harder for people to feel like they know you if they feel like they are talking to an artist rendering instead of a real picture of you. People want to see you and feel like they know who they are talking to when they post online. Talking to a picture of someones dog, someones child, or some ninja symbol is not going to help you build relationships. Your profile picture is nothing short of the first sign if people want to do business with you. Just as in face-to-face networking, the same holds true online, first impressions are of the utmost importance. While it is not necessary to hire a professional photographer to take your profile picture, understand the value of having a photograph that is clear, high quality, and represents your business in the best light. In other words, a photograph of you drinking with your buddies at the local pub may not be the best profile photograph for you to choose! Remember, your goal is to build a team of Referral Partners. Many people will hesitate to accept your friend requests if they feel you are not representing a professional image online. So taking the time to upload the best possible profile photograph is a task that deserves your attention. Do yourself a favor, go look at your competitors personal profile photographs and you will get a great idea for what to do and what NOT to do when it comes to creating your profile photograph. Lets take a look at some bad examples of profile photographs: Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 12
Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 13
Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 14
Its important to remember, that every time you make a status update your profile photograph goes along with that post. Are some of the photographs above the type of representation you would like to have regarding your posts and your business? Now, dont get me wrongfunny and cute photographs can gain attention and serves a purpose from time to time. For instance, if you were an Alabama football fan and it was the weekend of the Championship Game against LSU, (Roll TIDE!!) then yeah go ahead and put your team mascot or emblem as your profile photograph. But, this should be on rare incidents and within a certain timeframenot the norm for daily postings.
At the time that this report was created, Facebook switched from Profile Pages to the now known Timelines. This is the window into your Facebook Life that will help you begin building relationships with friends and in turn encourage them to become your Referral Partners! It is vital that you fill your Timeline with as much information as possible about yourself: What schools did you attend Organizations that you are a member of Your Hobbies & Interests Favorite Sporting Teams And, of course your Contact Information Information in your Timeline will give people the opportunity to connect with you. For example, I have many Friends on Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 15
Facebook that I dont personally know. But, when Alabama was playing LSU in the recent championship game, I was constantly updating my Timeline with postings about the game. That was a very strategic move I was making because I started getting responses from Friends regarding my postings.we were connectingbuilding a bond. This one simple strategy will help you create loyalty between you and your Facebook Friends and they will begin to pay closer attention to your future postings! Listing schools that you attended and organizations that you are a member of will help create the same camaraderie between you and your Friends, just as will your hobbies and interests. It all boils down to the fact that your Timeline gives you the opportunity to create a bond with other people based on similar interests. And, for the last point on your Timeline..constantly keep it updated! This is a tough thing to remember, but just realize its like having your social media resume for others to see 24/7. Consistency is the key here.
Add Friends Strategically: Add Friends Strategically: Add Friends Strategically: Add Friends Strategically: Once you have YOUR Timeline profile set up strategically..its time to begin studying your Friends Timeline..and your Friends friends Timelines. When building your Community, you want to realize that your Friends are your cheerleaders. Your Community will be advocating you and your business for youso build your Community deep and then broad. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 16
In other words, your Community will first consist of your family, friends, co-workers, etcpeople you already have an established deep relationship with. Seek out everyone you know that can help you build a deep-rooted Community: This is your Tier One Community. Once you have built a strong Tier One Community, you should then begin to access the friends of your Tier One Community. The most strategic system to build a Tier Two Community is to study the Timelines of your Friends friendsfigure out exactly who you want to meet and request to add them to your Community. To be successful in this strategy, I recommend that you ask your Tier One Community Friends to introduce you to the people you want to meet. This icebreaker will speed up the process of gaining their acceptance of your Friend Request. Rememberyou never know who knows whom! For example, I have a Friend who owns a printing company. As I began to study his Timeline and looked at his Friends, I noticed he was directly connected to a highly successful online product creator! I asked him to introduce us and now the product creator and I are working on a project together!!! You never know who knows whom Your goal should be to reach a Friends list of 1,000 as quickly as possible. Now, some people will tell you that its not how many Friends you have, but the quality of that Friends list. Im here to tell you that since you never know who knows whom, building your list to a massive size will give you more exposure to the Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 17
quality people that you want and need to know to turn them into your referral partners. The trick is building relationships with them!
Now that you have started building your Community of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Friends, its time to understand how to have valuable Conversations with them on a consistent basisthis will build Credibility with them. One of the most important things you must remember is that posting consistently will keep your Friends coming back to your Timeline for more information. If they know you are going to be there bringing great value, they will show up to see what you have to offer. But, its also important to remember that people get bored very easily (especially online) and they move on to other shiny objects if you are not there to give them informationso Post Consistently!
Dont Be A Cave Dweller! Dont Be A Cave Dweller! Dont Be A Cave Dweller! Dont Be A Cave Dweller! Ill never forget attending a conference and the keynote speaker was talking about Cave Dwellers. His story was: People get up every morning in their big cave that has a big flat screen television Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 18
and they get ready to go to work. They get in their little cave with 4 wheels and drive to work where their other cave with one window has a computer and a telephone. They stay there all day until 5 p.m. when they get back in their small cave with 4 wheels and drive back to their large cave with their big flat screen televisionwhere they spend the rest of their night. His point of this story was that most people are isolating themselves from the rest of the worldthe very world that could help them build their businesses. But, because they are so consumed in their own problems, issues, and tasks at hand, they overlook the valuable people in their lives that could help them by becoming Referral Partners for their businessesif they took the time to build relationships with them. In the world of social media, we tend to have Cave Dwellers as well. People will sign on to Facebook everyday and just read the postings. But, they never make any attempt to have a Conversation with their Friends. They are not taking advantage of the massive audience they have at their fingertips. Remember, without having the Conversations, you will never build Credibility with your Community. Its also important to note that if you want to build a large Community of Friends on Facebook, you must get out of your cave with that big flat screen television and actually meet people, do some handshaking, and meet people eyeball to eyeball. Attending real live networking events will help you quickly build a Community on Facebook. And, attending these events gives you the opportunity to strategically add the people that you know are Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 19
connected to other people you want to meet in the future! (Tier 3 Friends in your Community) And, one of the most valuable aspects of attending the live networking events is the fact that you get to meet people in person that you are Friends with on Facebook. It will shock you at how many times you will hear, oh yeah, were friends on Facebookso nice to finally meet youyou always have such cool stuff youre posting on Facebook. This literally happens to me EVERY TIME I attend a networking event. This one small tactic validates the friendship the two of you have on Facebookso dont overlook the importance of networking events. Another example of getting out of your cave is to get involved in other social media sites. Even though this product is focused on building a team of referral partners on Facebook, you cant overlook the value of having connections on other social media sites as well. Why? Because you can then drive those connections to your Facebook Timeline and build your Community! LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, FourSquare, Pinterest, Forums (and hundreds of other social media options) all offer you the opportunity to build relationships with people. Once you have started building these relationships on these sites, request that they connect with you on Facebook. This rarely used concept will build your Facebook Community quickly with high quality Friends who will be happy to become your Referral Partners.

Be A Farmer Not A Hunter Be A Farmer Not A Hunter Be A Farmer Not A Hunter Be A Farmer Not A Hunter When having Conversations with your Community on Facebook you want to follow the theory of: Be A Farmer Not A Hunter. When a hunter wants to feed his family today, what does he have to do? Go hunting and make a kill. He kills for enough food to feed his family today, but what does he have to do tomorrow? You got it, he has to go and hunt again. When a farmer wants to feed his family he has quite a different strategy. The farmer will plow the land and plant the seeds, make sure the land has plenty of water, fertilize the crop as it grows, and will weed the fieldscarefully tending to the crop throughout the season the farmer will work all spring and summer to ensure he has a bountiful crop. At the end of the season, what will the farmer do? He will harvest his crop and will have enough food to feed his family for the entire next year and will capture enough seeds from the plants to have another crop to plant for the upcoming year. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 21
Many business people take on the attitude of the hunter instead of the farmer. Most business people worry about today and wont concentrate on how to build their business for the future. When you are marketing your business online with Facebook you should think about this strategy. This entire Facebook Profits Formula product has been based around the theory of Be A Farmer Not A Hunter. So many people join Facebook to hunt for new business instead of farming relationships with people before they go in for the kill. As we go through this eBook, the main thing you must remember is that building trust takes timesbe patient and your relationships will grow and prosper. Be impatient and you will run off the potential relationships available to you on Facebook.
Act Like A HostNot A Guest Act Like A HostNot A Guest Act Like A HostNot A Guest Act Like A HostNot A Guest If you remember, earlier in this report I pointed out that signing onto Facebook was like going to a large networking event. If you have attained your goal of 1,000 Facebook Friends, every time you sign on to Facebook, you are basically hosting a party for 1,000 people. Rememberits YOUR Timeline. Your goal is to make sure that when people read your postings, they are gaining valueeach and every time! Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 22
So lets imagine that you were throwing a party for 1,000 people at your home. How would you act? What would your concerns be? I would hope that you first would want to make sure that each guest that arrived at your home felt welcomed. You would want to introduce them to your other guests and make sure they were comfortable and have some food and a drink. In other words, you would want to ensure they enjoyed themselves while there. If you throw a great party and your guests enjoyed themselves, what happens the next time you host another party? Youve got itthey would want to come to the next party! They would talk to their friends about how much fun they had and what a great party you always have. In other wordsthey would be having Conversations about you! You want your Facebook Friends having the same great Conversations about your Timeline! So how do you act like a host on Facebook? Remember, your Timeline is your Party! The first thing you want to do is introduce your friends to each other. This is a highly overlooked tactic on Facebook and if you miss this you are missing the opportunity to build your Community. Take a look at your Friends and see who needs to know whom. And then, make online introductions: Bob, I want to introduce you to one of my Facebook Friends@Sue Henry. Sue is an outstanding motivational speaker and I know you are always looking for speakers for your Kiwanis Club meetings. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 23
Firstly, by putting the @ symbol in front of Sue Henrys name, it will give you the opportunity to tag Sue Henry. This way she will get notice of this introduction on her Timeline as well. Secondly, your other Facebook Friends will begin to notice how you are a connector. Can you imagine your value on Facebook when your 1,000 friends realize that you are taking the time and making the effort to introduce people that can work together? You also want to provide a great environment for your guests. Now obviously you cant get them a drink and some food, LOL, but you can do things to make them feel comfortable and at home while visiting your Timeline. By simply bringing valuable content and providing a safe environment for your Friends, they will feel welcome. You will definitely want to monitor your Timeline and remove anyone who may misuse your wall or post inappropriate status updates. By uploading funny videos, motivational quotes of the day, content about your family and friendsyou are providing a safe environment for your Facebook Friends. The bottom line here is this: you have to bring value each time you post on Facebook. And, remember this, just because people are not communicating with you on a regular basisdoesnt mean they arent watching what you are saying. I learned this a long time ago when I would post something and notice that one of my Friends who never posted would click the Like button. This showed me that even though they arent holding conversations with me, they are still watching my Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 24
Timeline. So, its really important that you always act like a Host and not a Guest. You never know who is watching you and deciding if they want to further their relationship with you.
Facts TellStories Sell Facts TellStories Sell Facts TellStories Sell Facts TellStories Sell Many times, when people are talking about their business they try to impress us by using industry jargonit makes them feel like they are the expert. But unfortunately, the only thing they accomplish is confusing us. A few weeks ago I asked someone to take my laptop and clean it out. Its a bit slow. The gentlemen went on to explain to me all of the reason it could be slowusing terms I had no idea what they meantAND I didnt want to know what they meant. All that I wanted, was my computer repaired. What he should have said was something like this: Oh yeah, this will be a breeze. I had a business owner call me last week with the same issue and I went to his office and within an hour had his computer up and running again. He told me I saved his day by being so quick to respond to his needs. Now, I ask youwhats the difference in the two? When he talked facts to mehe confused me. He gave me information that I didnt want or need to know and I wasnt sure if he could quickly fix my problem or not. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 25
But, if he had told me the above story, I could have related to the story. And, more importantly, I could have taken that story and repeated it on his behalf to others when they were in need of computer repair. When youre on Facebook, you should remember the same holds true: Sell MORE by Selling LESS. My business model for Teamworx Productions was created on this philosophy that Facts Tell and Stories Sell. I realized the need for my services when I noticed a small pizza parlor in my city would make weekly postings on Facebook by posting their menu. I would just sit and look at the menu on Facebook and think who cares? The only people who would have been interested in that posting was someone who was already planning on visiting that pizza parlor that night and was thinking about what they wanted to order. While the pizza parlor owner thought they were marketing their company they were actually only posting a FACT. Now, lets take the same pizza parlor and put a twist on this for Facebook. What if the pizza parlor had a Birthday Club or a Business Owner of the Week or First Time Customer program in place in the business? Each week they would choose someone to win the contest and they win a free pizza. Then the business owner takes a picture of himself/herself presenting the free pizza to the winner and posts that on Facebook with a short story about the winner. Do you see the difference here? Instead of posting Facts about your business (that no one really cares about) you are posting Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 26
stories about your customers! Dont you think that the winner of the free pizza is going to go home and share that picture with all of his/her friends? Zap, Bing, Boom..your business just became exposed to all of the winners friends! Plus, you just began building Credibility with your winning customer! And, your other customers will begin to tune in to your Timeline to see who each weeks winners are! This is a win-win concept to build referral partners on Facebook.
Create A Celebrity Status Create A Celebrity Status Create A Celebrity Status Create A Celebrity Status Everyone likes to know important people. The more you can create a Celebrity status for yourself on Facebook the more people are going to watch your Timeline to see whats new and what interesting things you are up to. Now, you dont have to be a movie star to be a Celebrity. Creating Celebrity status can be as simple as posting the fact that you just won an award: Take a picture or video of you receiving your award and post it in your status update. Once againthis is you telling a Story and not just giving Facts. Another way to create Celebrity status is if you are submitting articles to the local newspaper (this means you are the expert) then you can make status updates about this and provide links so that your Facebook Friends can read your articles. Did you just receive a promotion or an award at your job? If sopost news about this on your Timeline. This builds credibility quickly that you are the expert at what you do (even if its not Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 27
related to your online business). And dont forget, take pictures as much as you possibly can. People love to look at pictures on Facebook. Plus, it helps them relate to you and helps build your Celebrity status. So you can let your imagination loose with the many ways that you can build Celebrity status on your Timeline. But I couldnt move on without showing you this video that is the master of all videos when it comes to building Celebrity status.

This was an ingenious publicity stunt he and his team created. Jay Jay does perform his magic card tricks around the world, but this publicity stunt gained him over 30,000 YouTube video views! Imagine creating something similar and posting this on your Facebook Timelinewithout a doubt you will create Celebrity and have every one of your Friends sharing that video with their friends. (Which is the point of this entire programto get your Friends to Share your Information.) So, get creative and see how you can use Facebook and your Friends to create Celebrity for you and your businesseven if it is FAKE!

Your Job is to get your Friends to: 1. Click the Like Button 2. Comment on the Posting 3. Share the Posting Thats itsuccess within your Timeline totally relies on you getting your Friends to Like Comment and Share your Conversations! I compare the Like button to a High-5. When your Friends click the Like button, they are telling you (and your Friends) they Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 29
enjoyed reading what you had to sayone team mate high-fiving the other on a great play. And, Facebook is taking notice of you receiving those Likes as well. Have you ever noticed how you may be best friends with someone, but they rarely show up on your Timeline (or wall)? Thats because you may be reading their posts, but youre not clicking the Like button. If you and your friend consistently click the Like button on each others postings, they will start to show up automatically on your wall more often. Facebook acknowledges that the two of you want to see each others postings. The Comment button is extremely importantit is the supreme choice for creating Conversations on Facebook. Your goal should be to make interesting posts that will entice your Friends to get involved in the Conversation. When you have a posting with a string of Comments, you have written a successful posting that created interest and value to your Friends. I like to refer to the Comment button as the Chest Bump of social media! Creating a post that is so interesting that it has resulted in a string of Comments is like making a touchdown and the two players celebrating by the ever popular chest bump in the end zone. Like points on the scoreboard are to winning the game, Comments on a posting is like making money on Facebook. This one simple action will create a buzz about you and put you Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 30
on the right path to building winning, solid relationships with your Facebook Friends. Every football player has at one time dreamed of winning the Super Bowl. At the end of the game one thing ALWAYS happens for the winning coachthe Gatorade Dump. Right? Every winning coach has a water cooler full of Gatorade dumped over his head and shoulders. This is the ultimate form of celebration in the game of American Football. On Facebook, the ultimate form of celebration is when your Friends Share your postings with their friendsthe Gatorade Dump of Facebook! If your Friends Share your postings, they are in essence telling their Friends that you have credibility and they should listen to your Conversation. Convincing your Friends to click the Share button is paramount to building a team of referral partners on Facebook.

When creating a posting, the end of the posting should always have a call to actionpeople need to be told what action to take. Please Like, Comment & and Share this with your friends. They will thank you for it! The above posting was extracted from my Facebook wall. This is an excellent posting on many levels. Mary Melissa Smith told us a story in her postingshe immediately touch our hearts. Everyone loves the elderly (probably makes you think of your mom or grandmother). She included a holiday associated with Love. This is a posting that was pure marketingand NOT sales. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 32
This posting grabbed my attention with the photograph, kept my attention with the writing, and made me want to share Mary Melissas story with all of my friends! I have approximately 1500 friendswho just became introduced to Mary Melissa and her story! Imagine the value of this posting if you can get 500-1000 Friends sharing a posting like the one above. Can you see the value in one simple posting when strategically done? I would recommend two improvements to the posting by Mary Melissa: 1. Include video 2. Have a Call to Action A short 30 second video of these ladies with their smiles while being pampered would take this posting to the next level. This is a simple, yet often overlooked guarantee to grab attention. And, as we have already discussed, the Call to Action would have persuaded even MORE people to Like, Comment, and Share the posting.
Friend Of The Week Friend Of The Week Friend Of The Week Friend Of The Week A fantastic tactic to get your Friends to click that Share button is to have a Friend of the Week posting. It doesnt have to be anything formal that you announce, but once a week, pick out one of your Facebook Friends and give them kudos for something they are doing special. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 33
You should definitely add a picture of them and preferably a video of themthis could be a 1 minute video talking about something special they are doing that makes them unique and worthy of your recognition. And, of course you should include a link to their blog, website or their Fan Page to help drive traffic to them! This is an opportunity for you to give instead of receive. But, in the endyou will receive Credibility from your Friends because you are doing something for your Friends that no one else is doing! Your Friend of the Week will really appreciate the fact that you have chosen them as your featured posting of the week. And, I would highly recommend that you make a place on your blog or website for this Friend of the Week. This will drive traffic to your site to see more information about the recipient. You should purchase a hot graphic (Fiverr.com) to use with your Friend of the Week posting. This will brand your Friend of the Week contest and have people looking for the branding to see who you are highlighting this week. When your Friends notice you are giving quality acknowledgement of this award, they will all begin to Share your postings. And, definitely, your winner will Share this with all of his/her friends.
Breaking News Breaking News Breaking News Breaking News Having the ability to always be up-to-date on the latest news about your industry will definitely put you in the expert position. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 34
People who follow you will enjoy knowing that you are always on the cutting edge of information and sharing that with them. Lets say youre a plumber and the weather is going to drop to sub-zero temperature tonight. Posting breaking news about the weather and a tip to protect your water pipes would be valuable to many peopleand they would Share that information. But, what if they arent actually interested in your industry? You should be aware that if you are a plumber, everyone is not going to be interested in plumbing breaking newsso what other breaking news do people love to hear? Understand that anything News Breaking that gets the attention of your Friends is what you are afterand especially if its news worthy enough that they will want to Share that posting. I was one of the first to break the news that Osama Bin Laden had been shot on my Facebook wall. Im a bit of a news junkyso I am always watching what is breaking in the news. Im sure you can imagine how many times my posting of Osamas demise was shared. This definitely created a lot of conversation on my Timeline that night! Also think about news breaking topics regarding television and movie stars. Anything involving the entertainment industry will always create a good conversation! Special Note: Only report the news and avoid taking sides on the issuelet your Friends spur on the conversation. Remember, your goal here is just to get people involved in your Conversation by commenting on your Timeline and creating a string of conversational postings. Conversations are the breath of Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 35
life to your Timeline. The more your Friends become involved in the Conversations on your Timeline, the more they will return to your Timeline because its here that they experience the Tribe Effect. (Sign up for our updates to hear more about our upcoming launch of The Tribe Effect.) At the time of this writing, they are breaking the news that Whitney Houston just died at age 48. Be one of the first to pass on this information on Facebook and you will definitely create a string of Conversations.

And, you can up the ante a bit and create a personal video of yourself sending the birthday wishes!

The following link is for a video I created for a personal friends birthday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P587yHIy20A
Adding a personal video like either of these will certainly have you standing out in the crowd of well wishers! So whether you know just a little about videoor you are a video wizard, either way you can easily create video birthday wishes and deepen those relationships with your future Referral Partners! Never uploaded video to Facebook? Thats coolthis tactic is just a few steps: Create the video, upload it to YouTube and then add the YouTube link to your Facebook status update. You will instantly begin to gain Rock Star status with your Facebook friends when you are genuine and have a cool video. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 38
Contests Are Hot! Contests Are Hot! Contests Are Hot! Contests Are Hot! Note: Contests held on Facebook are subject to the Terms of Service with Facebook. Always know that you are in compliance with Facebook policies, rules and guildelines to avoid having your account closed! In order to avoid any hand-slapping from Facebook, I have found it much more effective to hold Contests on my blog and avoid Facebook altogether. You can create the Contest on your Blog and then post on Facebook some intriguing conversations to drive your Friends to your Blog to participate There are many sites where you can create Contests to host on your blog site. One contest that I always find fun and effective is to require a Comment on your Blog and/or on your Timeline! Now you are forcing your Friends to participate in the Conversation in order to participate in the Contest. This tactic has the potential to create a buzz in your Friends worldespecially if the prize is top notch. Photograph contests are very powerful in getting a solid Conversation started on your Facebook Timeline. This also serves as a great tactic to help build relationships between all of your Friends as they start to recognize faces with postings. And, of course I couldnt continue without mentioning the power of requiring your contestants to create a video and submit that to your Timeline in order to qualify for the prize. You can have your Friends vote on the best video by liking the video posting. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 39
Even though it is YOUR Timeline, and you always want to maintain total control of your Timeline, getting your Friends to participate and relate to your other Friends is essential for you to be successful in training your referral partners.
Be A Wise Old Owl Be A Wise Old Owl Be A Wise Old Owl Be A Wise Old Owl Its vital that you remember that your success on Facebook relies on you training your Friends to become future Referral Partners for you. So, be a wise old owl and tell us whooo are your ideal clients! Your Timeline should be used as your training center for your Referral Partners. This is where all of your Friends learn about you personally and you as a business person. I have a challenge for you: Ask 10 people in your family if they have referred business to you in the last week. You will be shocked at how few times those who love you actually refer business to you. And, this is why you need to create a team of Referral Partners and train them to think of you and your business as certain occasions occur. For example, my business Teamworx Productions is a video marketing company. When someone is talking to a Search Engine Optimization expertI want them to think about me and refer their friend to meet me. Copyright 2012 Teamworx Productions | All Rights Reserved Page 40
It is up to you to train your Friends on exactly who your ideal clients are. Through your postings, give examples of who your ideal client would be and why they would be ideal for you. Remember, you never know who knows whom. The more specific you are in exactly who you would like to meet, the more chances are that you will get an introduction to that person. This week I would love to receive an introduction to Public Speaker Josh Hinds. He lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and has spoken on stage with Top Selling Author Bob Berg on several occasions. I would like to meet him because I think we could join forces and create some killer products on leadership qualities. By the way, I did actually meet Author & Speaker Josh Hinds via a Facebook connection! Josh and I both live in Alabama (only 3 hours apart), but a friend of mine in New York made the connection and introduction for us! You will hear this several times in this report: the more specific you are in whom you would like to meet, the more likely someone will know that person and be able to make the introduction. Even if no one knows exactly that personsomeone may know someone else similar that would prove to be just as rewarding for you to get to meet. Bottom line here is you are training your Friends on exactly what connections you need to make without them realizing it.
