9. How did immigrants before and after 1900 differ?
Before 1900, there was no restrictions on immigration and it went up from 3.5
million a year to 9 million. After 1900, the numbers dropped due to WWI and
restrictions placed by the USA.

Most immigrants were coming from Europe, Asia and Mexico before the 1900s
