ELECTRONICS SECTOR

CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SERVICING NC II 438 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude of a Consumer
Electronics Technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic and
common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as assembling and
disassembling consumer electronic products and systems, maintaining and repairing audio-
video products and systems, servicing and repairing electronically-controlled domestic
appliances and cellular phones.

MECHATRONICS SERVICING - NC II 174 Hrs

This course is designed to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a
Mechatronics Technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic and common
competencies in addition to the core competencies such as installing, adjusting and testing
mechatronics devices.

MECHATRONICS SERVICING - NC III 192 Hrs

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a trainee/student
on core competencies such as; Develop Software Program, Maintain and Repair of
Mechatronics Devices in accordance with the industry standards. It includes basic
competencies such as; Lead Workplace Communication, Lead Small Teams, Develop and
Practice Negotiation Skills, Solve Problems Related to Work Activities, Use Mathematical
Concept and Techniques and Use Relevant Technologies.
It also includes common competencies such as; Use Hand Tools, Perform Mensuration and
Calculation, Prepare and Interpret Technical Drawing, Apply Quality Standards, Perform
Computer Operations and Terminate & Connect Electrical Wiring and Electronic Circuits.

ICT SECTOR

COMPUTER HARDWARE SERVICING NC II 356 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of a
computer service technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers core
competencies such as: installing computer systems and networks, diagnosing and
troubleshooting computer systems, configuring computer systems and networks, and
maintaining computer systems and networks.












CONSTRUCTION SECTOR

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE NC II 402 Hrs

This course consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to install
and maintain electrical wiring, lighting and related equipment and systems where the
voltage does not exceed 600 volts in residential houses/buildings.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE NC III 396 Hrs.

This course consists of competencies that a person must achieve to This particular set of
competencies excludes core technical competencies required for related highly specialized
vocational skilled workers such as linemen, substation technicians, electrical
motors/generators repair technicians, etc.

CARPENTRY NC II 162 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, positive attitude and work values
in accordance with international standards. It covers the competencies required on stake-
out building lines, fabricate formworks, install framing works, install architectural
ceiling/wall sheets/ panels and floor finishes and fabricate/install door/window jambs and
panels in operating.

PLUMBING NC II 162 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, positive attitude and work values
in accordance with international standards. It covers the competencies required in
Preparing Pipes for Installation, Performing Minor Construction Works, Making Piping Joints
and Connections, Perform Single Unit Plumbing Installation and Assemblies, and Performing
Plumbing Repair and Maintenance Works.

MASONRY NC II 318 Hrs.

This qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve that will enable
him/her to perform construction of brick and concrete block structure, installation of pre-
cast baluster/handrail and plastering of concrete wall surface.

AUTOMOTIVE AND LAND TRANSPORT SECTOR

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II 524 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the
field of automotive servicing in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic, common
and core competencies such as: service charging and starting system, service engine
mechanical system, service clutch system, service differential and front axle, service steering
system, overhaul manual transmission, service brake system and service suspension system.












LANGUAGE SKILLS INSTITUTE

LSI- ENGLISH LANGUAGE 100 Hrs.

This course covers the competencies such as conversational fluency, grammar/writing,
reading/vocabulary and speech/listening.

METALS AND ENGINEERING SECTOR


MACHINING NC I 374 Hrs.

This course is designed to develop knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of a Machinist in
accordance with industry standards. It covers basic and common competencies in addition
to the core competencies (basic) such as: perform bench work, turn work piece, mill work
piece and grind work piece.




SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING NC I 268 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of a
WELDER in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as; weld
carbon steel plates using SMAW. This includes common competencies; apply safety
practices, interpret drawing and sketches, perform industry calculations, contribute to
quality system, use hand tools, prepare weld materials, setup welding equipment, fit up
weld materials and repair welds. It also includes competencies such as, receive and respond
to workplace communication, work with others, demonstrate work values and practice basic
housekeeping procedure.

SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING NC II 268 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills to perform
shielded metal arc welding work to the standard expected in the workplace. It covers basic
and common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as: weld fillets on
carbon steel plates in 1F, 2F, 3F and 4F positions and carbon steel pipes in 1F, 2F, 5F and 6F
positions, and weld grooves on carbon steel plates in 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G positions and
carbon steel pipes in 1G, 2G, 5G and 6G positions.

GAS METAL ARC WELDING NC I 268 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of a GMAW
welder in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as; weld
carbon steel plates using GMAW. This includes common competencies; apply safety
practices, interpret drawing and sketches, perform industry calculations, contribute to
quality system, use hand tools, prepare weld materials, setup welding equipment, fit up
weld materials and repair welds. It also includes competencies such as, receive and respond
to workplace communication, work with others, demonstrate work values and practice basic
housekeeping procedure

DOMESTIC REFRIGERATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING SERVICING NC I 242 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of RAC
Services in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic, common and core
competencies such as; Install, service and maintain, troubleshoot, recover and recycle,
repair and retrofit window-type air-conditioning/ domestic refrigeration unit.


REFRIGERATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING SERVICING (PACU/CRE) NC II 232 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of RAC
Services in accordance with industry standards. It covers specialized competencies such as;
Install service and maintain, troubleshoot, recover and recycle, repair and retrofit PACU and
CRE units.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICING NC II 436 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of food and
beverage server in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as:
providing link between kitchen and service area, providing food and beverage services,
provide room service, and develop and update food and beverages knowledge.













COMMERCIAL COOKING NC II 436 Hrs.
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the
field of commercial cooking in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic, common
and core competencies such as: maintaining kitchen premises; storing, organizing and
preparing foods; preparing meal menu; preparing hot and cold kitchen food, salads, cakes
and pastries.










BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II 143 Hrs.

This course designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a person to attain a
clean equipment, tolls and utensils and prepare, portion and plate pastries, breads and
other desserts items to guest in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and
luxury lines/cruises and other related operations.












DRESSMAKING NC II 275 Hrs.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the
field of dressmaking in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies
such as: drafting and cutting pattern for casual apparels, preparing and cutting materials,
sewing casual apparels, and applying finishing touches on casual apparels.

MASSAGE THERAPY NC II 560 Hrs.

This qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to work within a
holistic therapeutic massage framework, to promote healing, to alleviate pain and
discomfort, to hasten recovery, to initiate relaxation and to improve the well-being of the
client/patient.

HILOT (WELLNESS MASSAGE) NC II 120 Hrs.

This course is designed to develop knowledge, skills, and attitude to perform the tasks of
Hilot Wellness Massage NC II in accordance with industry standards. It covers core
competencies such as: plan the hilot wellness program of client/s, provide preliminary
services to client/s, apply hilot wellness techniques, and provide advice on post-hilot
wellness services.
