My written task relates to Part 3 Literature:Texts and contexts-Katherine Manseld. Im
composing a contemporary Skype argument between two youths, one is a capitalist and the other is a socialist about their ideologies and their respective every day attitudes and hobbies of life.
A Skype conversation and the unique features of one is typical to the current generation. Most Skype conversations are very contemporary. I use allusions, metaphorical language, interruptions. In Skype conversations, it is possible to interrupt another persons texts as normal social norms dont apply. This allows you to change topics or distract the other person from talking about something that you dont want to talk about. In addition, I allude to some organizations or ideas about the political positions of each of the debaters. For example, the st with a ower on it alludes to the logo of the Socialist International organization. Whereas, the guys in suits to ritually smile gayly while clapping to the beat of a boxing ring like seals is a reference to the opening of the stock exchange. My text is a response to the changing political, social and cultural climate of socialist versus capitalist ideas.
Since, Katherine Manseld discusses the role and perception of women in her days. I have decided to discuss this aspect in my work. I bring this up by discussing the perception of Valentines Day by the two friends. The capitalist friend takes more of a privatization approach to women whereas the socialist friend takes more individualistic approach to women. I used contemporary vocabulary such as AP2P, yeah, dude, lemme, Jordans, billboard, Lamboginis, socially conscious rappers in order to discuss the poltical views under a contemporary context.

Conversation
M: Socialist friend C: Capitalist friend
Your prole picture a st and a rose on it . . . Explain . . .
Yeah, that is the logo of the
dont tell me its your AP2P stuff again
Why do you hate the left so much?
Socialists, they bad people Che invaded Cuba, Americas couldnt scubadive in cuban clubs for lunch. I got the new Jordans on the right side of my desk
Why are you obsessed over a shoe.
Diddy has them.
Its just a shoe. . . Either-way, But Che allowed the Cubans to have lunch. And taste freedom. Expanded their domes, educated them from the corrupt ways of the Batista autocracy and Red- White-Blue.
Dude, the americans only just went to clubs
Which types?
And gambled.
with the locals lives and wives. Right, mr.right
You hives of socialists, sweet like Honeybees
we pollinate the powerless, you pollinate the powerful
Fool, Id love to get my hands on one of you idealists
You would, if you could. Except this capitalist sheep with the Jordans next to him, staring at the Samsung TV waiting for some fdl
I only trade my stocks for an hour,
and sipping Coca-cola with Lays chips and staring at Barbie pictures while listening to Opera.
You such an idealistic
If idealist means not spending an hour for choosing what clothes to wear and not prostituzing your life and mind to some grey haired petales.
Whatever
Dude, socialism is when you dont be greedy and dont try to lay your hands over every single dollar that you can
No, socialism. Is when the lazy people get benits from not working at all. Capitalism is when a person gets benits because he works hard
No, dude. Capitalism is when richer people are treated better than poorer people
Cause rich people worked harder
No, its because the richer people are exploitative of poor people. You dont have to work hard to be rich. You just need to learn how to exploit.
No, we dont exploit. We just
Capitalists are cold, it all matters about money. If you cannot help to get money for them, than you are worthless hence the existence of corporations.
Corporations can act ethically you know
but its only for money
Whatever What did you do for Valentines day?
I didnt try to collect another women like their material objects. Or in your words, try to get women. Cause unlike you, I dont treat women like dogs. I dont try to persuade someone to go out with me just for the sake of social pressure on a day named after a mystical event on which a guy arranged weddings between people.
Did you get anyone with a red shirt? Did she have a AP2P tattoo?
Did you manage to pimp one of the women in that clapping ceremony every midnight? How was it staring at the stock exchanges the whole time?
How was it talking about oppression?
It was better than debating over which stock you should buy.
Hahahayou would never learn.
I do.. what do you like to do except buying stocks
A lot of stuff, lemme think
buying
dont tell me buying jordans listening
dont tell me listening to the billboard
looking
dont tell me looking at Lamboginis
Ahh what do you like doing?
listening
dont tell me listening to socially conscious rappers
looking
dont tell me looking at movies about freedom
reading
dont tell me reading the manifesto.
Dude, I dont read the manifesto all the time for fun.
Yeah, sure you dont. I only read it like once a week.
Only once a week,
like you dont trade stocks for an hour every day.
You guys tax way too much. By the way your probably the only socialist out there with such retarded philosophies
our taxes are not used in corrupt ways, in ideal socialism the money goes back to the people. It doesnt just go to make retarded buildings promoting patriotism like in capitalism. In capitalism, the poor people are treated really bad and the rich are the ones that are the ideals. Consider Iran
Another one of your retarded philosophy, the Iranian Shah was a fair ruler
No, he wasnt
He was more fairer than the revolutionaries after him
Who said that?
The economist, CNN, Fox, my dad everyone
The revolutionaries were meant to overthrow the cruel Shah of Iran. Who undemocratically took over the country via a coupBy the way, the Shah was a sick minded person kind of like the Mubarak regime of Egypt. The popular view doesnt mean it is the best view. Remember man, there were times where the popular were wrong. Take a look at the Nazi populace.
However, in those day, that populace was savage they were caveman. The populace nowadays are well-educated and think repetitively before making a decision. As a result, the majority is actually more correct than the minority who misunderstand what our politicians say. We dont make any bad decisions.
You sure. . .
By the way, the Persian revolutionaries attacked the U.S embassy and took hostages. Look at argon
But that was because U.S sponsored state terrorism by that government against its own people. By the way, didnt you see random Iranian people were attacked at U.S well, so it was fair and square. The whole incident wouldnt have to take place if the U.S didnt sponsor Irans dictator. By the way, remember you dont have a drop of Persian blood in you. So if I was you I wont get your ignorant mouth into something that you dont know what youre talking about.
