THERMO: HP49G

Thermodynamics steam tables. Original program: "steam" by Allen Arnold,

Portland State University. Modified by Manuel Peral, EPS Ferrol,
Universidad de La Corua, SPAIN.
This is just an tiny improvement of the program "Steam" by Allen Arnold
of Portland State University. I say tiny because it only includes a
"choosebox" interface that makes unnecesary to remember every function
and its name.
The program is written in User RPL, it's quite big and i'm sure that
anybody could write a shorter one, but i'm just a horrible programmer
and i havent even tried to write a shorter one (memory is not a huge
problem with the new 49G).
All calculations are made using Allen Arnold's program, so if you have
any questions about accuracy just read the info provided by him,
(steam.txt).
To use the program, just run the Thermo program, all other files are
used by this and belong to Allen's Steam program, including the YS
file, just don't touch that YS file.
Once you start the program, a choosebox with the available options
is shown, it's easy to use.
The only thing that i should mention is that for entropy and enthalpy,
there are options for 0% quality steam (wich is just liquid water),
100% quality steam (common steam) and X% quality steam (misture of
X% of steam and 100-X % of common water).
All this data is referred to saturated water (or steam).
Once you have done a calculation, the number is put onto the stack
but the program doesn't show it until you quit it, so you may make
another calculation and it would be put onto the stack on level 2, and
so on, once you finish the program al values remain in the stack, and
you can read them, but the best way to do it is to read a value at
a time because otherwise you won't remenber what are all the values
on the stack.
