Recycle
The 3Rs are: Reuse, Reduce and RECYCLE. There are more than 7 billion people in the world;
can you imagine how much waste we create? The 3Rs are very important to continue living in
this planet.
The 3Rs are necessary to create less pollution of the water, the air and the land in the world.




Recycle is one of the 3 Rs. Its the process of transforming used waste and materials into new
products.
Many materials can be recycled. For example paper, plastic, glass, metal, textiles...
There are five different containers:
BLUE In the blue container we must throw paper and cardboard boxes.
YELLOW In the yellow container we must throw plastic objects and cans.
GREENIn the green container we must throw glass bottles.
BROWN In the brown container we must throw organic waste.
GREY In the grey container we must throw general waste.





We can recycle everywhere. There are no excuses!

Reduce is one of the 3Rs. To reduce is to create less waste. We reduce when we dont use
energy and resources unnecessarily.
To save the planet we have to reduce the amount of waste we create. If we dont reduce, we
will finish with our resources. We wont survive.
We can reduce by:
Taking a shower instead of a bath.
Switching off the light when we leave one room.
Only buying what we need.
Not wasting paper.

We can reduce everywhere. There are no excuses!

Reuse is one of the 3Rs. We reuse when we find a second life for an object. It is important to
think of a new utility for the objects. Reusing is good to save resources of the planet and to
save money.
We can reuse by:
Using books from older students
Writing on the two sides of the
paper.
Always using the same plastic bottle.
Always using the same plastic bag.
Normally, when we Reuse we Reduce.
THINK!!! Other people can use what you dont want anymore.
