- Reservation yes/no (usually for sleeper, couchette, seat etc.)

- Number of your VORTEILScard

4. You receive a 12-digit collection code for your order. On request,
we will also send you this code by text message or email. You can
use this collection code to pick up your ticket at the ticket coun-
ters in train stations and over 600 sites equipped with BB ticket
vending machines in Austria. This applies to international tickets

Collect your CallCenter ticket
You can collect your ticket ordered by telephone from the
BB CalICenter at all stationary ticket vending machines.
This collection service is available for all tickets ordered by telephone,
even for international tickets and reservations. You can easily
order group tours including reservations from home or from your of-
fice and pick them up at a ticket vending machine.
Use this service and pick up your tickets ordered by telephone at ap-
prox. 600 train stations equipped with ticket vending machines. Just
dial the number of the CallCenter 05-1717 (local rate Austria-
wide) and let them know your travel data. Your ticket will be availa-
ble for pick-up at the ticket vending machine only 15 minutes later.
When you place your order via the CalICenter, the self-booking pre-
mium is inapplicable.
The transaction will be settled by credit card as you place your
order with the CalICenter. The great benefit of this: you can collect
your ticket until right before the start of your journey.
How it works
1. Dial the number of the BB CalICenter 05-1717 and tell them
that you want to order a ticket to be picked up at a ticket
vending machine later.
The CalICenter staff will ask you to give them the following
data once:
- Title, surname, first name
- Address
- Telephone number (where you can be contacted during
office hours)
2. After you have provided these data, your personal customer
number will be created and announced to you. When placing
your next order, you only have to specify your customer number
and can order your ticket.
Boarding of local trains (REX, local, suburban trains)
is allowed only with a valid ticket (stations without
ticket selling facilities excluded).

If certain products or selections you made are not available or possi-
ble due to technical or price-related reasons, a suitable message will
be displayed on the screen. After having read this information, press
the blue OK button on the screen.
Press the button to confirm all entries on the screen.
Then you can select further tickets or start the paying process.
You can select the mode of payment by inserting coins or bank
notes or credit or cash cards. If you want to use your cash machine
card for payment (Maestro card), you have to enter your PIN code.
Follow the instructions shown on the display of the pin pad. You also
need a PIN code for payments made with certain credit cards.
Take your tickets and the change out of the ticket dispenser of
the vending machine at the bottom left. Please check the tickets
and the change received. A payment receipt will be printed
automatically for every cashless payment.
Each ticket vending machine is assigned a vending machine
number that you can find underneath the slot where you insert
bank notes. In case of failure, please write down this vending ma-
chine number and report the incident to our CallCenter 05-1717. If
you are using a ticket vending machine on board of a train where
train attendants are present, please refer this to one of them.
Get your BB tickets -
also in advance
At the BB ticket vending machines, you can get tickets for
services offered by BB within Austria and Verbund tickets
for your region. The right products including price reductions
(VORTEILScard, group prices etc.) will be selected automatically
based on the data you entered, and you can buy your tickets in
advance as well.
Verbund rates will be considered as a matter of course.
Customers that have a VORTEILScard will be granted a self-
booking reduction when buying BB tickets.
All methods of payment
- You can pay in cash with coins and bank notes or cashless with
cash machine/Maestro card, credit card or BB VORTEILScard with
payment function.
- The machine can return change only in coins.
- The bank notes that are accepted depend on the amount to be paid
and will be displayed on the screen.
Menu navigation in several languages
You can select one of the following languages: German, English,
French, Italian, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Slovenian and Croatian.
How to buy a ticket at the vending machine
Operate the ticket vending machines with the touch screen user in-
terface by pressing the respective buttons on the screen.
The ticket vending machine creates your ticket according to the se-
lections you made. White Boxes contain pre-selections and/or in-
formation that accelerate the purchasing process. You can change
this pre-selection by pressing the yellow buttons.
You can cancel the purchasing process at any time by
pressing the button. This will delete all entries made.
When you press the button, only your last entry will
be deleted.
