Population explosion means rapid growth of birth rate without any check. It is a constant threat to
our environment and existence. It is the greatest problem is Bangladesh. Bangladesh is one of the
most densely populated countries in the world. Her population is increasing day by day. Every year
more than two million people are being added to our population. It has become a serious problem
for us. In fact, it is the number one problem of our country. his problem is now out of control.
hough Bangladesh is a small country, it has huge population. he land area of Bangladesh is less
than her vast population. !bout "#$ people live per s%uare kilometer here. &or this reason,
Bangladesh in considered as over populated country. he population in our country is increasing
in an alarming rate. here are many reasons of increasing population in our country. he main
reasons of increasing population are ignorance, superstitions, early marriage and lack of female
education. 'ost of the people of our country are illiterate. hey do not know about the problems of
over population. Because of being illiterate, they are not aware of family planning. Besides,
religious superstitions obstruct our people in taking family planning. Early marriage is also
responsible for increasing population.

national development. he whole nation has been suffering the grievous conse%uence due to over
population. he country will fall in acute poverty and people will lead very unhappy and miserable
life in near future if it is not controlled. It should inspire our people to adopt family planning. (ur
womenfolk should be educated.
However, we must come forward to control this over growth of population. )e should take some
measures to control it. People should make aware of adopting family planning and people must be
aware about the serious conse%uences of high birth rate.. Early marriage must be stopped. *o
family should be allowed to have more than two children. (ur people must be educated. If they are
educated, they will surely try to keep their families planned. (ur womenfolk should also be given
training on family planning. hey must be aware about the negative effect of over population. 'ass
media like radio, television and newspaper can play a vital role in this regard.
herefore, this growth rate of population must be checked. Because, no improvement of our
country is possible unless this problem is solved. But, the government alone cannot solve this
problem. &or this, all the people of Bangladesh and the government should +oin hands to control
this population growth at any cost.
