Authority and Authority Charge provide outstanding value to growers. Hard-to-control weeds like kochia, lambsquarters, redroot pigweed, wild buckwheat and cleavers reduce yields significantly. Growers who try Authority are overwhelmingly pleased with the value the product provides because it tackles challenges their current herbicides are not fully addressing. See authorityherbicides.ca to see what growers are saying about our product. Will Authority control volunteer RoundupReady canola in soybeans? Sulfentrazone does not consistently give a high level of control of this weed on its own. On average, Authority and Authority Charge provide approximately 50% residual control of volunteer canola. This is not sufficient as a stand-alone treatment, but it will help other products. It should be noted that a tank mix of Authority + Imazethapyr has been submitted for pre-emergent residual control, which should be an effective combination for controlling volunteer canola in soybeans. Are Authority and Authority Charge rainfall activated? What if I dont get any rain? The soil residual active ingredient in Authority and Authority Charge (sulfentrazone) requires soil moisture to allow plant uptake. However, this will take place with as little as inch of rainfall, or less than 10 mm. Weed control will be reduced if weeds germinate and emerge before the rainfall; however, the product will be activated as soon as rain comes and will control weeds that germinate afterward. Its very rare to have too little rainfall for activation of Authority. Ive heard that I cant grow certain crops after I use Authority. What crops can I grow? Authority has a 12-month re-cropping window for canola, spring wheat, durum wheat, alfalfa, barley and field corn; 16 months for winter wheat; and 24 months for lentils, sweet corn and sorghum. This means if you use Authority or Authority Charge this year, you can plant canola next year or lentils two years later. AUTHORITY ON SOYBEANS FAQs What rate should I use in my soybeans? Rates for Authority and Authority Charge range from 32 - 43 acres per jug for Authority and 64 - 86 acres per case of Authority Charge. The rate growers should use will depend on what weeds are present and their soil type. Growers looking for wild buckwheat or cleaver control should user higher rates. If you are only looking for kochia control in medium to coarse textured soils, lower rates within the range are recommended. Please contact your local retailer or FMC rep for more detailed information. Whats the difference between Authority and Authority Charge? Authority has four 3.79 L jugs per case.
