Graduate Scholar Applications Now Accepted
for 2015 Conference
For each conference, a small number of Graduate Scholar Awards
are given to outstanding graduate students who have an active
academic interest in the conference area. Graduate Scholars perform
a critical role in the conference by chairing the parallel sessions,
providing technical assistance in the sessions, and presenting their
own research papers. The Award, with its accompanying
responsibilities, provides a strong professional development
opportunity for graduate students at this stage in their academic
careers. Meeting experts in the field, interacting with colleagues from
other parts of the world, and creating networks and friendships are all
additional benefits of this Award.

Graduate Scholars are entitled to a waived conference registration
fee and are given special recognition during the conference

e-Learning Ecologies - Join Bill Cope and
Mary Kalantzis in their MOOC
For three decades and more, weve heard educators and
technologists making a case for the transformative power of
technology in learning. Despite the rhetoric, in many sites and many
ways education is still relatively untouched by technology. This
course explores affordances of e-learning ecologies which open out
genuine possibilities for what we call a New Learning. This course
will be offered through the Coursera platform, and also in Scholar,
Common Grounds revolutionary new social knowledge technology.

Commencing June 30, this MOOC is designed for people interested
in the future of education and the learning society, including people
who may wish to join education as a profession, practicing teachers
at all levels interested to explore future directions for a vocation that
is currently undergoing transformation, and community and
workplace leaders who regard their mission to be in part educative.
