The Motivation behind the Book

The Energy centers in body were known in different civilizations with different names, e.g.
Chakras, Dantien, etc. Its my view that the practice of such should not be limited from one
civilizations perspective or one religions texts, for a complete understanding various practices
have to be studied.

Furthermore, I think its sort of limiting this universal knowledge to solely attribute it to one
particular civilization or one particular religion. As we understand from life that it take time to
understand the larger picture.

This book relates the body energy centers with vowels.

The vowel notations are in Devanagari (Hindi), English and International Phonetic alphabet. These
are merely a tool to represent them.

Also I am not fully knowledgeable of the vowel notation system used in English, so the readers are
suggested to hold the Devanagari symbolism as the primary.

Reason for Mention of Risk in book

There exist no medical evidence which relate activation and stimulation of body energy centers
with vowels.

The author has no medical experience or skill, so the author has not presented any medical advice
or knows any working of human body. Also the author does not prescribe any part of this book for
healing practices.

The energy centers are a physical and mental force. So these should not be activated and
stimulated without any suitable guidance. The Author does not suggest the reader to undertake
such a risk.

The author is not responsible for any sort of physical and mental imbalances arising out of energy
centers. All the risk lies solely with the practitioner.

The objective of the book is for discussion and information only.

6

Basic Theory of the book

The book follows a simple philosophy; Man is microcosm, smaller cosmos whereas Universe is
macrocosm. All the elements of the universe manifest in body at various level.

The seven energy centers are known in many religions cultures in form of different tales, stories
and legends.

Furthermore the concept of Yin-Yang as the union of Tiger and Dragon or Heart and Kidney
Energy is an important concept.

7

Time & Type of Meditation required to activate Energy Centers

1. Light or Minimal meditation can activate and stimulate the Energy centers.
While deep meditation does great in activation of energy centers, it is not the sole per-
requisite. The centers can be activated and stimulated in normal consciousness.

These sounds can be recited vocally or sub-vocally, in meditation or in full active state like
exercise.

2. Small time is needed to activate and stimulate energy centers.
With correct practice, time taken for initial activation of energy centers can range from few
days to few weeks. But once activated, an individual can stimulate, regulate the energy
centers in a matter of minutes or hours but with correct method.

3. The Practitioner need time to adapt to Energy centers.
The energy center activation is a union of opposite forces. So the Practitioner could require
time to balance these forces and the practice has always been difficult and different than
the theoretical part.

Vowels Introduction and Notation

The characters ", , , , , , " represent vowels in Devanagari (Hindi). Their corresponding
characters in English are e,a, , , , o, u and in International Phonetic Alphabet are i, e, , , ,
o, u . As stated in the book previously that the main thing is the pronunciation of the vowels, so the
Devanagari symbolism should be held supreme, in case of error.

(e)- The close front unrounded vowel, or high front unrounded vowel, is a type of vowel sound,
used in many spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that
represents this sound is i.

In English orthography this letter is more commonly associated with /a/ (as in bite) or // (as in bit)
and /i/ is represented with e, ea, ee, and even ei.

(a) - The close-mid front unrounded vowel, or high-mid front unrounded vowel, is a type of vowel
sound, used in some spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that
represents this sound is e.

In English, Many speakers have a diphthong of the type [e] instead.

()- The open-mid front unrounded vowel, or low-mid front unrounded vowel, is a type of vowel
sound, used in some spoken languages. The symbol in the International Phonetic Alphabet that

Energy Centers In Human Body

Many ancient civilizations and religions point to the existence of Energy centers in human body.
Chakras (Wheel) of energy or Dantien as these are commonly referred to as. There are different
set of exercise to stimulate or activate these Energy Centers. These exercises may include
meditation, chanting of mantras, yoga and others.

There are total seven (7) Energy Centers in the body .

A description of each center is given below :-

1. Root energy center

2. Kidney Energy Center

3. Stomach Energy Center

4. Heart Energy Center

5. Throat Energy Center

6. Eyes Energy Center

7. Head Energy Center

13

The terminology used above linking various body organs like kidneys, heart is for naming purpose
only. I understand that this indicates to the part of the body where energy centers were supposed
to be located in the ancient texts.

See the image - 1 below for the location of Energy centers in the human body.

14

Relation Of Energy Centers With Glands/Plexus

It was my earlier view to refrain from associating energy centers with body organs, glands or
plexuses, etc as various authors have done.
However there is merit in such association and one understand more about working of the energy
centers with passage of time.

15

Energy Centers and Vowels

The seven vowels are (e), (a), (), ( ), (), (o) and (u).

The vowels are assigned to specific energy centers as:-

1. Head Energy Center - (u)

2. Eyes Energy Center - (o)

3. Throat Energy Center - ()

4. Heart Energy Center - ( )

5. Stomach Energy Center - ()

6. Kidney Energy Center - (a)

7. Root Energy Center - (e)

This can be seen in Image 2 below

17

How To activate or stimulate the Energy Centers

1. The energy centers should never be stimulated individually. There should be a fine
balance between the various energy centers and the practice should be undertaken
under the guidance of an expert.

All the energy centers are necessary to certain extent. But some energy centers
need more emphasis.

2. All the 7 energy centers are important.

3. The vowels could be spoken in short form as we converse in daily life like - (e) -
(a) () () () (o) - (u)

or could be spoken in long form like (e)-
(e)- (e)- (e)- (e)- (e)- (e)- (e)- (e) in a continuous manner.
(Note : The above is not a recommendation by the author as some exercise)

4. These vowels can be recited vocally or sub-vocally, in meditation or in full active
state like exercise.

5. The vowels were traditionally recited as a mixture of them known as the mantra.
6. The practitioner can experience different Physical and Mental effects. So she/he
should take caution while doing any practice relating to energy centers.

18

Heart and Kidney Energy Center Relationship

Some texts describe the relationship between the Heart energy center and Kidney Energy center
to be important.

The Heart Energy center and the Kidney energy center have to be synchronized, as the equivalent
of Tiger and Dragon or Yin and Yang synchronization.

The Practitioner is advised to read more in this regard under a master.

19

Inferences:

Every mantra has an effect on some energy center.

These energy centers could be activated by more than a fixed mantra.

Ancient civilizations perceived the world as the union of opposite forces : Physical
body and the mind, Positive and Negative, Female and Male, Yin and Yang, Ida
and Pingala, Ganga and Yamuna.

The relationship between Heart and Kidney Energy center is emphasized in certain
practices.
