receiver models integrate the critically acclaimed ESS SABRE
32 bit Ultra DAC for each channel. Its the industrys benchmark
for digital-to-analogue audio conversion.
The three upper models feature an advanced 192 kHz/176.4 kHz
32 bit Audio Scaler for all 2-channel digital music, through which
e.g. even regular CD quality content can be upscaled up to

iControlAV2013 gives you control over the receivers main functions via the convenience of
your smart device. The user-friendly app features PUSH PLAYER, Pioneers new music streaming
setting that gives you access to music libraries stored on your device. From within the app, you
can create playlists that can be streamed wirelessly to the receiver. You can also control the
receivers power-saving ECO modes via the apps ECO MANAGER page.
Pioneer ControlApp, available for use with the VSX-828 and VSX-528, gives convenient control
of inputs, sound modes and streaming content.
Both apps are available free of charge on the App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch
at itunes.apple.com. Dedicated apps for Android users are available on Google Play at
play.google.com.
4K ULTRA HD PASS THROUGH AND UPSCALING
Pioneers 2013 AV receivers are designed for the next generation 4K Ultra HD resolution standard, with the ability to pass through 4K video signals
to compatible displays, offering the highest quality video image available. Additionally, the advanced models can upscale analogue and HDMI
video signals for 4K Ultra HD resolution when used with the latest 4K displays.
GAPLESS PLAYBACK
The new network enabled AV receivers include gapless playback
for AIFF, Apple Lossless, WAV and FLAC files for a smooth,
uninterrupted audio playback experience. The function is ideal
for listening to music tracks intended for continuous play, such
as classical music, progressive rock, concept albums, or live
recordings.

A new, energy-saving ECO Mode is featured on all

Add wireless local network connectivity to your compatible AV receiver. Using the AS-WL300, you can establish a wireless LAN
connection by connecting it to the Ethernet port and a dedicated USB power port on the back of the receiver. Both WPS and manual
set-up are available. This way, you can enjoy network audio without the extra wire.
The AS-BT200 Bluetooth adapter is a simple solution for adding portable audio to your home cinema. Connect it through a proprietary
port on the back of a compatible Pioneer receiver, just pair the A2DP profile Bluetooth enabled device and get ready to enjoy your
music as you never could before.
HIGH-RESOLUTION FILE PLAYBACK
Stream high-quality audio formats via USB or LAN with 96 or even 192 kHz sampling frequencies for a superior quality performance. Supported
audio formats include 192 kHz/24 bit high-resolution WAV, FLAC, AIFF as well as 96 kHz/24 bit Apple Lossless audio files via USB and network.
The top three models support DSD 2.8224/5.6448 MHz via USB.
AirPlay WIRELESS AUDIO
Looking to play music from your iPad, iPhone or iPod
touch? AirPlay lets you stream content from your Apple
device to your AV receiver. The AirPlay icon appears
automatically when your device and AV receiver are
connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Playing music
from your PC, or Mac running iTunes is just as easy.
MULTI-ZONE CAPABILITIES
Starting with the VSX-828, all new receivers offer simultaneous
entertainment in multiple zones including a HDzone with
a dedicated HDMI output to an additional room. Up to four
different iOS devices running Pioneers iControlAV2013 app can
