10.2 MW JABORI HYDROPOWER PROJECT IN DISTRICT MANSEHRA

The Pakhtunkhwa Hydel Development Organization PHYDO, Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Province, Pakistan (the Employer) has allocated funds towards the cost of JABORI
HYDROPOWER PROJECT (JHPP) through its own resources for the Design, Procurement
and construction of Jabori Hydropower Project (10.2-MW) .Bidding is open to all eligible
Bidders. The construction period of Jabori HPP is 30 months. The project is located near
Jabori Village in District Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The works not limited to,
mainly comprise the following:
a. Civil Works and Installation & other services:
Diversion Weir/Power Intake
Sand & Gravel Traps/ Desander.
Power Tunnel
Surge Shaft.
Steel Penstock & Manifold, Valve Chamber, etc.
Power House and Switch Yard.
Tail Race.
Access & Colony Roads and Bridge on River Siran and Cross Drainage
Works.
Infrastructure Works.
Residential & Non-residential Buildings of Colony, Offices etc
Workshop-cum Store.
Installation & other services.

b. Mechanical Equipment:
Turbines with Inlet Valves & Governors.
Power House & Workshop Cranes.
Cooling & De-watering system.
Heating, Cooling & Ventilation (HVAC).
Auxiliary equipment such as Oil Handling Equipment, Fire- Fighting
Equipment, Workshop Equipment,
Essential/mandatory spare parts.

c. Hydraulic Steel Works:
Flap Gates, Radial Gates with Stop Logs & Cranes.
Trash Rack & Trash Rack Cleaner.
Inlet Fixed Wheel Gate with hydraulic unit.
Sediment basin Inlet Gates, Flushing Gates & Outlet Stop-Logs.
Tunnel Intake Trash Racks & Gate with hydraulic unit.
Penstock Inlet Cone, Stone Rack & Tunnel Adit.
Relief and by pass Valve with associated equipment.
Penstock & Manifold.
Draft Tube Gates
Essential/mandatory spare parts.





d. Electrical Equipment & Installation:
Two Generators 2x5.1 MW and Excitation system.
Main Step-up Transformer & Auxiliary Transformers.
132 kv Switch Yard equipment such as switchgears circuit Breakers,
Disconnectors, Surge arresters.
20 KM 132 kv Transmission line.
Protection system.
SCADA.
Fire detection and alarm system
Telecommunication.
Essential/mandatory spare parts.
Auxiliary Equipment such as plant low voltage AC supply, DC supply
System and other facilities such as Diesel Generating Set etc.
Inter connections with Grid along with Interfacing required for sale of power
in bulk to CPPA/PESCO.

2. The Employer invites sealed bids (Technical and Financial bids) in accordance
with single stage Two Envelop Bidding procedure from eligible firms or persons
licensed by the Pakistan Engineering council in the appropriate category (minimum
CB) for the works. A foreign bidder is entitled to bid only in a joint venture with a
Pakistani constructor in accordance with provisions of PEC bye-laws.
3. Bidder may obtain further information from, inspect at and acquire the Bidding

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by an interested Bidder
on submission of written application to the above office from April 4, 2014 upon
payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. Twenty thousands (Rs. 20,000) through pay
order or bank draft drawn on a scheduled bank of Pakistan in favor of Project
Director, PHYDO, Jabori Hydropower Project.
5. Any query on bid documents must reach in writing before April 21, 2014. A pre
bid meeting will be held in the PHYDO House Peshawar on April 25, 2014 at 10 a.m.
Any additional queries will be noted and will be replied in writing within a week time
after pre bid meeting.
5. All bids (Technical) must be accompanied by a Bid security of Rs.30 Millions or
equivalent US Dollars in the form of Bank guarantee on Bid security form by a
scheduled Bank of Pakistan in favour of Employer, and must be delivered to at or
before 11.00 hours, on May 15, 2014. Technical Bids will be opened at 2.00 p.m. on
the same day in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at
the same address.
