67% of Teachers do not think Facebook is appropriate to Teamwork

First of all, I don't think students should have the
same platform for work and for personal use.
Secondly, it is missing some key functionalites, such
as tasks calendar, files manager, etc.

The Facebook may provoke some undesirable
distractions.

Information Security and confidentiality is key aspect.

Make it easy to deal with.

It is important that the students have a private area, where professors can't reach.
Otherwise they will be too careful when putting information and they will not use it
appropriately.

A platform should be useful for both students and teachers. Sometimes they become
a nightmare to teachers, since they are expected to be online and available the all
time. There should be some kind of availability control by the teachers, and a place,
for instance, where there could be answers to frequent questions students should
consult before addressing themselves to teachers. This is a teacher point of view, of
course!
