Reference is made \0 my interim report dated June 29,2005 and I respectfully submit
the following relative to our 2005 agenda.

The following measures have been acted upon by the Governor as indicated:

S] 217 (Robach) - Amend Chap. 677 of the Laws of 1977 to extend Agency Shop
provisions for two(2) years- Chap 31,

S]215 (Robach) - Amend Cbap.695 Laws of 1994 to extend Injunctive Relief


in improper practice provisions for two(2) years- Chap 29,

S2] 65 (Robacb) - Amend RSSL to extend all temporary benefits and


Supplementation programs, all temporary rights and
benefits for two (2) years - Chap 35,

83971 (Padavan) - Amend GML and RSSL to increase Special Accidental Death
Benefits for surviving spouses and children of certain cit)'
correction officers and others. Cbap 48,

A628]A (Abbate) - Amend RS8L - relates to certain persons being presumptively


eligible to an accidental disability (9/11) Chap 104,

85657 (Golden) - Amend RSSL - chapter amendment to A628tA - Chap 93,

The following measures are from our 2005 Legislative program were passed
By both houses of the Legislature and acted on by the Governor as indicated :

1) S3339(Padavan) - NYC Admin Code.- allows Tiers III and IV city correction
members to receive service credit for time sucb

2) S1955A (Maltese) - RSSL - Provides for service credit for C.Oo's that were
Laid Off. Chap. 686

3) S5469 (Rules) - GML- provides Special Accidental Death Benefit for CO.

The following measures that may affect some of our members were acted on as
indicated:

A6343 (Leotol) - C8L - provides for Independent Hearing Officer for disciplinary
hearings when employee faces dismissal Veto 12

A8291 (Abbate) - Amends RSSL - Provides death benefits and health coverage to
eligible survivors of public employees who die while on active
duty in any branch of the armed forces. Chap. 105

S5379A (Robach) - Amends CSL - Gives PERB the authority to address Improper
Practices and to give equitable relief when appropriate
Chap. 761

A5969 (Nesbitt) - Amends Mil. L. - Grants service credit to members of public


retirement systems called to active duty all or after September
11, 200 I Chap. 326

85722 (Larkin) - Amends CSL to provide for the testing of law enforcement, fire
and emergency medical personnel for exposu rc to serious
transmissible diseases in the course and scope of their
employment. Chap. 390

85799 (Marcellino) - Chapter Amendment relating to A8291 - Military Law
