Would you like cost effective, scalable strategies to

manage your constantly evolving and changing
optimisation challenges?
Mobile networks are expanding more rapidly now than
ever before and operators are also upgrading their
network infrastructure to support the capabilities of
3.5G and 4G technologies. Faced with rising operating
costs, declining ARPU, and a need to invest in next-
generation networks, operators are increasingly
looking for optimization solutions to make their
networks more efficient and ensure optimal
performance and capacity on their network.
IIRs 16th annual Mobile Optimisation Conference is the
trusted annual resource for telcos looking to meet with
their peers in the field of network optimisation and
planning, to determine best practice optimisation
techniques that are future proofed for constant
network evolution. With practical case studies and
interactive discussion this focussed two day event
addresses the challenges of:
Ensuring the customer experience
Managing multiple network layers

In order to gauge market perception regarding LTE-launch strategies and
understand the state of European networks, Informa conducted an industry
survey, which included high level, detailed questions dealing with the
perception and reality of LTE-network deployments in Europe.
The overall sample was 442 respondents, including 112 European operators:
68 mobile-only, one fixed-only and 43 with both fixed and mobile assets.
When asked whether an LTE network was live or pending launch, a
staggering 96.3% answered positively, with only 3.7% saying that they are not
planning to launch LTE. Regarding the mode of deployment, there was an
even split among the three primary options (see fig. 1).
Fig. 1: Primary deployment mode for LTE network, 1Q13
The majority of operators said that competitive or marketing issues were the
biggest reasons for deploying LTE. Revenue opportunities and capacity
constraints scored lower (see fig. 2). This illustrates that although operators
talk about traffic bottlenecks and capacity problems, marketing and business
issues are driving LTE-network deployments in Europe. There are also specific
market drivers (e.g. rural deployments in Europe), but the majority of
operators still chose competitive differentiation as the biggest driver. This
may change as LTE deployments mature and more than one LTE operator
enters a market.

Smartphones and tablets are transforming the way
people access and use data on their connected devices.
With mobile data trafc expected to grow 13-fold to over
11 Billion Gigabytes per month in 2017 Mobile Network
Operators (MNOs) around the world have to be able to
address the increasing consumption of data across their
networks. The number of mobile connections is growing
at a faster pace than the revenue derived from them. This
puts MNOs in a difcult position of trying to overcome
both technical and business challenges like how to get
the most out of their networks while lowering costs, drive
premium service revenue from new and existing
subscribers, all while maintaining a consistent user
experience. CENTRI is a leading provider of mobile data
optimization and bandwidth management solutions that
reduce network congestion and increase capacity across
the network. With CENTRIs Connected Experience
Platform (CXP), MNOs are able to intelligently optimize
and manage the ow of data across their networks in
real-time to reduce the need to invest in additional
network resources and reduce backhaul costs.
