The Present Perfect Simple (1)
Some time words are used very often with the present perfect tense. The
most common are ever, never, already, just, still and yet.
1. Ever
Ever means "at any time." One of its uses is in questions:
Have you ever seen a double rainbow?
Has Jim ever been late for work?
Have Julie and her sister ever had a fight?

2. Never
Never means "not at any time." We often use it in negative statements:
They have never been to London.
Ive never smoked.
She's never eaten Spanish cheese.

3. Already
Already is used in statements and questions. It shows an action or situation
that happened earlier.
They've already left.
Have they already gone to the cinema?
She's already forgotten the password.
Has he already finished?

4. Just

With the present perfect tense, just is used to show an action that finished
only a short time before now:

I've just drunk three glasses of milk.
She's just told me what you did!

5. Yet
Yet is used in negative statements and in questions. Yet is always at the end
of the sentence.
They haven't left yet.
He hasn't arrived yet.
You havent finished yet.

Have they left yet?
Has he arrived yet?
Have you finished yet?

6. So far
So far means until now and we usually put it at the end of the sentence.
Ive been to Italy four times so far.
He has collected 800 stamps so far.
