Art. 266. Slight physical injuries and maltreatment.

The crime of
slight physical injuries shall be punished:
1. By arresto menor when the offender has inflicted physical injuries
which shall incapacitate the offended party for labor from one to
nine days or shall re!uire medical attendance during the same

2. By arresto menor or a fine not e#ceeding 2$ pesos and censure
when the offender has caused physical injuries which do not pre"ent
the offended party from engaging in his habitual wor% nor re!uire

&. By arresto menor in its minimum period or a fine not e#ceeding '$
pesos when the offender shall ill(treat another by deed without

Art. 26. When afflictive correctional or light penalty. A fine whether
imposed as a single of as an alternati"e penalty shall be considered an

does not e#ceed 6$$$ pesos but is not less than 2$$ pesos4 and a light

Art. 26. !eclusion perpetua. Any person sentenced to any of the
perpetual penalties shall be pardoned after undergoing the penalty
for thirty years unless such person by reason of his conduct or some
other serious cause shall be considered by the )hief 1#ecuti"e as

!eclusion temporal. The penalty of reclusion temporal shall be

Prision mayor and temporary dis"ualification. The duration of the
penalties of prision mayor and temporary dis!ualification shall be

of dis!ualification is imposed as an accessory penalty in which case

Prision correccional suspension and destierro. The duration of
the penalties of prision correccional suspension and destierro shall

suspension is imposed as an accessory penalty in which case its
