Chapter One: Introduction
1.01: Origin of Report:
As a student of business administration and management we should learn both theoretical and
practical aspects. For this reason we are assigned different assignments and reports. This
report is originated for partial fulfillment of the requirements of report on Strategic Planning
and Management of National Bank Limited for the course: International Business; course
code: MST 419 in Bachelor of Business Administration. The course teacher assigned me the
report and shuffled me around to educate me Strategic Planning of National Bank Limited .
1.02: Scope of Report:
The scope of this paper is limited to organizational structure, background, and objectives,
functions, and investment schemes, modes, mechanism, planning and management systems
of NBL, General banking aspects and foreign exchange operations.
1.03: Duration of Report:
The data was gathered over 2 days in two segments. The information is collected from
websites through internet and some research papers. Data collection period of the study is
20th and 22th May 2012.
1.04: Objectives of Report:
The purpose of the report on Strategic Planning and Management of National Bank
Limited is to obtain idea about the strategic management procedures of NBL.
1.05: Limitation of Report:
While performing this study I have faced with some problems which I cannot overcome and
that issues remains as the limitation of the study. The limitations of the report are as follows.
I. There is not well enough information regarding strategic management of NBL.
II. I was not permitted in a branch of the bank that can be helpful for me to furnish the
work in a precise format.

2.01: Problem Definition:
This study is performed on Strategic Planning and Management of National Bank Limited
which is assigned by my course teacher.
2.02: Approach to the problem:
After receiving the study title I do plan for the report. Then go to different sources and
collected data about my respective organization (NBL). All the information is collected from
secondary sources. Such as websites, journals, newspapers, annual reports of NBL and
Directors report of NBL.
2.03: Report Design:
To complete this study I have to design it. Firstly I collect different data regarding this study
from secondary sources. After collecting data I design my work in several chapters (e.g.
Literature review, Strategic planning and Management, Strategic Planning of NBL etc.)
2.04: Presentation of the Report:
I present this report with different information regarding some conceptual issues and
company information in normal text and the analyzed data with explanation. Finally I submit
my performed study to honorable course teacher who assigned me with this work.
