"Abbreviated Time Line: Chinese Dynasties." Timeline. MEDICINE: EAST MEETS WEST.
Accessed May 23, 2014.
This timeline shows the evolution of the dynasties in China overall. This timeline is
important because throughout the history of Beijing, the dynasties are what controlled the
types of people in populations as well as the design of the city. This timeline was a good
timeline to use because it listed the dynasties all together instead of separating them into
different groups, as other websites did.

This photo is shows another form of transportation in Beijing. This type of everyday
transit is similar to a monorail. It is important to have so many different forms of
everyday transportation no matter to what the destination is because without multiple
options there will be congestion and a slower movements throughout the day.

Restrooms in Beijing are not the priority of maintenance as the capital city is urbanized.
This Youtube video focuses on how disgusting the restrooms throughout Beijing are, and
since most people living in rural locations do not have restrooms in their homes, they
have learned to adjust and not be bothered my the repulsiveness of the restrooms. This
video is important because I will use it for the PSA to let everyone know how the
bathrooms need to be remodeled to fit health requirements.

Many Beijing citizen's travel on the subway to get from place to place, due to the new
urban routines of the city. There are nine main subway lines that run through the city of
Beijing. This subway map is important because it shows which lines people use for
different purposes depending on the location they need to go to. This website helped me
understand the complex transportation system in Beijing by giving me vivid maps of each
subway line with a short description stating where each line goes.

All palaces or mega-mansions located in urban-Beijing are located in the center of the
city, for the entire town to see. This is important because it shows how the more money
you have, the closer to the center of the city you can get, and the more resources you may
have because of location. If a person or family lives in the center part of Beijing, it is
known to all, as those center-city citizens rarely leave the "town square" in the center of
Beijing.

This website provided me information about the pollution in Beijing and how citizens are
attempting at fixing the problem of the mass pollution but are struggling during the
process. BBC was helpful because it let me understand the environmental circumstances

your environmental issues by starting with just a small group of people and later
expanding.

There is a not a lot of diversity in Beijing and China, as most citizens are born and raised
in the country. This website is important because it gave me a general idea of China's
demographics, sometimes linking to information about the urbanization of Beijing. I
found this website useful because it differentiated the different groups of the Chinese
people that live in Beijing by their beliefs, and their own history in China.

The photo of people covering their noses is crucial to have in my website. I find this
photo so intriguing because it shows how horrible the air quality in China is, that people
have to go to the extent of wearing a mask to go anywhere they go. Fixing the air quality
issue is a very important thing that needs to be fixed as soon as possible, this photo brings
that issue into the awareness of others.

This photo is showing how gruesome the bathrooms in Beijing are. Due to the
urbanization, buildings are the only thing being urbanized, yet the public outhouses are
being forgotten. This horrendous toilet shows that change needs to be made and attention
needs to be brought to the public areas that people use on a daily basis. This photo is
important because without sanitary outhouses and other public conveniences, there is
more of a risk of diseases due to the uncleanliness.

Beijing's air quality is one of the worst in the entire world. There is so much pollution
that the government tries to place restrictions, but continues to fail due to the vast

began and how it can potentially evaporate, if the urbanization of Beijing ends sooner
than later. Pollution control is important to very one in Beijing, the citizens especially
want the air to be cleared up, so they can have a safer, healthier living environment to
survive in.
