The survey asked respondents about safety in downtown Spokane. Most respondents felt moderately safe or better. Over 90% felt downtown Spokane was as safe or safer than other cities. Over 50% felt law enforcement response had improved and presence had increased in the past year. Panhandling and loitering/congregation of youth were identified as the most common and important issues to address downtown.
