Minutes for NWBOA Board Meeting for July 9, 2013

Meeting called to order by Dave Gerletti at 8:02 PM EST> Those in attendance: Dave Gerletti, Al
Liskunas, Bill Kuerzi, Gary Nesvacil and Mark Larkin.
Motion to approve minutes for the meeting of June 11, 2013 by Kuerzi and seconded by
Nesvacil.
Treasurers report stated that $4236.69 was in the account.
Code of Conduct for officials, coaches and players was presented for review by the board. The
board was to review and be part of discussion for the next meeting.
NCAA HUB has been registered, Woodard to get password so that officials will be able to access
site.
AN invoice was to be sent to the NWBA for payment of jackets. Liskunas would follow up on
that action. Was to speak with Reiter to see what payments he received and how many jackets
did he have.
NWBA Nationals for the 2014 season will be April 3
rd
through April 6
th
in Louisville, Ky. Kuerzi
sent a budget to Director Schubert for NWBA review and will inform NWBOA of the decision.
Kuerzi has sent an updated officials list for board members to review and sections were divided
and assigned for board members to contact officials to update were needed. This list will be an
ongoing process and will take some time to be in a current status. Larkin questioned if
requesting a members birth date was appropriate, the board will review if that information
should be added to the list.
Reiter had sent the list of camps for officials that he will conduct this summer and Nesvacil
would attend the first camp in Edinboro on August 1
st
.
Jamie Oseguera was invited and accepted the opportunity to achieve his International
Credentials and will participate in the Americas Zone Qualifier in Bogota, Colombia, the week
of August 4
th
. Kuerzi was also to attend the tournament.
Kuerzi and Reiter will be presenting this years officials test to the NWBA for approval. Larkin
and Liskunas were to assist in preparing the test.
Dues will be due on September 1
st
, Liskunas will discuss setting up registration for officials
through the website and have Sherrice Fox of the NWBA set up a pay-pal so that when dues are
paid the official will have access to the test.
Gerletti appointed Woodard, Smeltzer and Nesvacil to work on obtaining information as to set
up the NWBOA for 501 C status for tax purposes.
Gerletti was to work on setting procedure for those officials that would like to apply for
attending an International Credentials camp. Kuerzi would head the committee with Liskunas
serving.
Committee to work with the NWBOA for the website would consist of Nesvacil, Woodard, Kuerzi and
Smeltzer.
