$his o!u%ent etails the steps re&uire to install jBASE 4.1 on Windows 2003 Server. $e%enos
!ertifie the use for '()*+ ,.1 in 2--.. (efore installing '()*+/ it is re&uire that 0i!rosoft C11
fro% 0i!rosoft Visual *tuio .N+$ 22--2 or later3 pa!4age is installe/ 5ith at least the !o%ponents
in the pi!ture belo5. Installing Visual *tuio .N+$ is not !o6ere in this o!u%ent.
2 Ass12tions and De3initions
It is assu%e that the reaer has basi! 0* 7ino5s 4no5lege. 8e&uire%ents are to retrie6e the
'()*+ installation 4it 2e.g. fro% a CD98O0/ :$" ser6er/ 5eb site et!.3/ perfor% si%ple a!ti6ities/
an o6erall unerstan 5hat is going on uring this pro!ess.
It is also assu%e that the 0* 7INDO7* ser6er has been installe properly/ an that the operator
has a%inistrator a!!ess to the %a!hine. )ll the steps belo5 are to be !arrie on fro% an
a%inistrati6e session.

3 Installation %rocedre
3.1 Unpack Files
Copy the installation 4it in a <5or4= foler on the ser6er. $he >it is a self9e;tra!ting ar!hi6e.

$he li!ense 4ey is issue by $e%enos. In orer to obtain it/ $e%enos 5ill re&uire the ser6er
hostna%e. $o get this/ si%ply run the <hostna%e= !o%%an in a !o%%an pro%ptA
