Job Title: Marketing Intern
• Responsible for the internal TV channel including planning and implementation of
internal marketing campaigns to encourage viewing. This allowed for development of
creative, organisational and time management skills.
• Organised events such as team days and company screenings where 30 and 100
people attended respectively. Required logic and good judgement.
• Supported colleagues with hosting the yearly international press day and coordinated
journalists and talent at the event.
• Built relationships with clients overseas and ensured their marketing needs were met
by frequent communication and supplying relevant assets.
• Worked with agencies on several creative projects such as the company Christmas
card, video content and TV schedule design managing budgets of £1000 and £3000.
• Maintained and updated the client website using html coding.
• Dealt with ad hoc administrative duties such as raising purchase orders in SAP and
collating information for sales use.

• Elected as managing director for a group assignment, competing in a simulated

• Dealt with a variety of customers, and while always in a professional manner, adjusted
the level of formality to what social setting the guest desired.
• Managed and took ownership of complaints in a way that appeased guests and the pub
manager.
• Gained knowledge of the products in the beverage industry including their positioning
strategies.

(Volunteering)
• Taught English to children from the age of 5 to 12 using games, role plays and visual
teaching aids.
• Delivered presentations about The UK and its culture to various groups of students.
Sessions were tailored depending on age (from 3 to 18 years) and size of group (from 5
to 100 students) and lasted as long as one hour. Used flags, pictures, blackboards,
music and books.
• Choreographed a 3 minute Morris Dance and taught the steps to 150 children for them
to perform at an International Theatre Festival.

Achievements and Interests

• Elected by peers to be vice president of AIESEC. This allowed me to learn leadership,


mentoring, planning and teamwork skills. Marketed a Work Abroad Programme and
successfully matched five graduates with jobs in China, India and the USA. Additionally,
I organised, coordinated and ran a Global Village event at university where 500 people
attended.
• Travelling, having spent much time in Asia, provides adventure, new and interesting
social opportunities and insight into a variety of cultures and viewpoints.
• Keeping active through aerobics classes, badminton and tennis.
• Cooking and baking in particular provides a social, creative and productive medium
which I enjoy.
