Statement of purpose.

Most of the people are disinterested in reading novels. The same people fell
exited to watch movie of the same novel. This is the powers of visual
communication of expressing literature to AV. And in another case people have
different ideas in their minds but they express in different forms like painting,
sculpture, videos, models, etc. This made me understand the word visual
communication as representing or conveying ideas in any mode to make
people understand. Visual communication is communication through visual
aid and is described as the conveyance of ideas and information in forms that
can be read or looked upon. It also explores the idea that a visual message
accompanying text has a greater power to inform, educate, or persuade a person
or audience. The evaluation of a good visual communication design is mainly
based on measuring comprehension by the audience, not on personal aesthetic
and artistic preference as there are no universally agreed upon principles of
beauty and ugliness. Excluding two dimensional images, there are other ways to
express information visually - gestures and body language, animation and film.
My interest art and animation insisted me to do my post-graduation in this field
of visual communication.
Since my child hood I am attracted towards arts. At time of my schooling I was
attracted towards painting. I won many competitions in painting in school and
regional level. While watching animation movies I always thought how the
characters express their feelings. This curiosity made me to do a course in
animation .Currently I am doing my professional course in Architecture from
NIT Raipur India. Im going to pursue my graduation degree in Architecture
next with a grade point of min 7.8.This field of Architecture is different when
compared to other professions and it mostly coincide with visual
communication. In this people represent their ideas in the form of building
spaces. This field includes the study of various professions of painting,
sculpture, design, videography, photography, animation, civil engineering in
various semesters. In eight semester I chose visual communication as an
elective subject and having basic knowledge of visual communication. I want
to further increase my knowledge and skills in visual communication.
I have chosen to study my post-graduation in visual communication at Royal
Arts College, UK as it is the only college that provides masters in visual
communication and is best in providing best quality of education an enormous
number of disciplines photography, film, video, text, paint, sound, wood-
block type, print, environment and digital.
