2nd Winter Camp Slovakia – “Snow Adventure 2010”

Dear friends,
on behalf of the Rotaract Club Nitra and the Rotary Clubs
Nitra I am pleased to invite you to participate in the
2nd Winter Camp Slovakia – Snow Adventure 2010

5 March - 14 March 2010

Host RTC Nitra and RC Nitra and RC Nitra Harmony

Location: The Low Tatras, Slovakia

Basic information:

1. Date of arrival the 5th March 2010 /Friday/

2. Date of departure the 14th March 2010 /Sunday/

3. Place of arrival/departure Bratislava Airport or the

Central bus/railway station

4. Time of arrival: recommended arrival time in Slovakia by 5

p.m., 5th March

5. Number of participants: 12, boys or girls, (1 boy + 1 girl )

from each country

6. Program: winter sports - mountain winter

hiking, snowboarding, skiing, mountain walking
on snowshoes, + cultural program: visiting the
Slovaks cities and towns, Rotary Clubs

7. Accommodation: in a boarding house at the

village Mýto pod Ďumbierom, central Slovakia

8. Important: We accept the participants between 18 and 24 years of age.

Winter camp is designed for all guys and girls interested in
winter activities, skiing, snowboarding, winter mountain
hiking with a little adventure. We are going to climb up to
the top of the highest peak of the Low Tatras Mountains
Ďumbier (2,043 m a. s. l.)

 peak, Kráľova hoľa (1,946 m.a.s.l.)

night trekking on snowshoes with staying overnight in an
alpine hut. We will visit the capital of Slovakia
Bratislava and the central town of the central Slovakia
Banská Bystrica. We will visit the Rotary Clubs.

For the activities above you will need winter hiking

shoes, ski/snowboard gear (possibility to rent for extra
fee), clothes for winter hiking (clothes for snowboard or
skiing is OK), ski gloves, sport socks (coolmax etc.),
trekking bag, thermos flask, sun glasses.

9. Additional costs: 200 - Euro. These costs are for

transport, mountain guides, snowboard
or ski passes, rental of snowshoes.

10. General info: Average temperature in the time of the

camp is: Morning and Evening -5(-10) –
0, day -3(-5) – +5(+8) o C.
Be also prepared to for snow and bad weather.

Some pocket money is necessary for additional free time

expenses /recommendation 100 - 150 EUR/
All credit cards are generally acceptable /Eurocard -
Mastercard, Visa, etc./
Western Union cash delivery – money system is possible in
Tatra Bank.
