word that describes a very good, fluent speaker?

I can't remember the word that describes a speaker who has great vocabulary and can be fluent and
graceful in speaking. A person who is smart and can speak with good vocab and everything. I remember I
learned this word in 7th grade when we were describing Malcolm X and I think it started with an A. But I
can't remember. It's like on the tip of my tongue and it's bothering me.
