HOW ARE YOU GOING?

How are you going, may seem like a strange question. We are more familiar with the question how are you
doing? We may expect to be asked where are you going? But in this article I want to ask, how are you going? After
Jesus resurrection He appeared to his disciples as recorded for us in John 20:21 and said, Peace to you! As the Father
has sent me, I also send you.
Christ wants us to experience His peace, and because of the Gospel of eternal life we certainly have His peace
available to us through a relationship with Him. However, He also wants us to take that peace to others. As individuals,
and as a church family, we have been charged by our leader to go as He has gone. So, how are you going?

Good news and accompanying good deeds are like the two wings of an airplane. Each is incomplete
without the other. Each complements the other. Each gives lift to the other. To study the life and
ministry of Jesus is to study a tapestry woven of good news and good deeds.
Eric Swanson, The Externally Focused Church

We must discern what Jesus is sending us to do in North County. It is wonderful that we financially support
others who are going all over the nation and the world. But I challenge you to start praying about how you, and we, are
to be taking the Gospel to our neighbors.

Have a great day in the Lord!

The Kings servant,
Pastor Chuck

For our Samaritans Purse project, we can use any of these items: small tablets and pencils, Slinkys, small stuffed
animals, toothbrushes, tooth paste, jump ropes, small hair brushes and combs, yo-yos, Crayolas, small balls, bars of
soap, small flashlights, sunglasses, lollipops and wrapped hard candy. We will let you know when to donate the
batteries for the flashlights. We do not need wash clothes. Thank you for your support of our missions.

With summer just around the corner I know that many are preparing now for their vacation plans. I want to wish
everyone safe travels and let you know that you will be in my prayers. I am blessed by the way I see God working
among the lives of our young adults at Salem. A culture of prayerful dependence is being developed and encouraged in
their daily lives. I ask that you pray for our students and their families as they strive to grow stronger in their
relationship with the Lord. Once school comes to an end for the summer, the student ministry will begin having weekly
fellowship events. We will meet every Thursday for those who are available and enjoy a time of fellowship and fun as
we enjoy the summer break.
Summer camp is finally here. It will take place from Monday June 23

would be interested in sponsoring a youth, let Pastor Cody know.
Thank you to all who have supported the student ministry through your financial gifts and prayers. Because of
your loving and generous hearts we will be able to have students attending camp with us this year that previously did

The Apostle Paul admonished us in Ephesians 4:17-20 as follows: This I say, therefore and testify in the
Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their
understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of
the blindness of their heart; who being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness with greediness. But you
have not so learned Christ.
In order for us to walk in the way of GOD Almighty, we must know HIS Word, and apply it, and listen
attentively to the HOLY SPIRIT as HE guides us and willingly enables us to complete the work GOD sent us to
perform. We need to make preparations to come regularly to the Bible Study Fellowship so as to grow and be
steadfast in our walk in the way of GOD. We also will be strengthened as we contend with the various challenges of
life. Please invite others to join us at 9:30 AM every Sunday.
