-Leuchten werden ber ihren Soft-

taster stufenlos und komfortabel geregelt. Das eingebaute
Dimmermodul sorgt dafr, dass Sie Ihre Leuchte ganz einfach
mit der Helligkeitsstufe einschalten, die Sie beim letzten Mal
gewhlt hatten. Mit einem lngeren Druck auf den Softtaster
variieren Sie die Leuchtstrke nach Wunsch. LED-Leuchten
besitzen brigens den Vorteil, dass sich ihre Lichtfarbe dabei
nicht verndert.

-lamps can be conveniently regulated

to any desired intensity by means of the Soft switch. The built-
in dimmer module ensures that your light switches on at the
brightness level you selected the last time. You can vary the
light intensity as desired by keeping your nger on the Soft
switch. LED lamps also have the advantage that the colour
of the light does not change when you do this.

Ein gutes Team arbeitet perfekt zusammen. Die
folgenden prebit-Leuchten mit dem teamwork-
Symbol (GROUP) sind ein eingespieltes Team und
machen Ihnen die Bedienung besonders leicht:
Alle Baureihen mit den Modellnummern -1 und
-2 knnen in Gruppen geschaltet und gedimmt
werden. Das funktioniert sogar, wenn Sie dabei
Leuchten unterschiedlicher Baureihen mischen.
Sie bentigen nur eine einzige MASTER-Leuchte
mit der Modellnummer -2, die mit bis zu 15 preis-
werteren SLAVE-Leuchten der Modellnummer -1
verbunden wird. Dann steuert die Masterleuchte
synchron und zuverlssig alle angeschlossenen
Slaveleuchten.

Switching and Dimming lights in groups
A good team works together perfectly. The following prebit lights
with the work team symbol (GROUP) are a good team and
make your operation particularly easy:
All ranges with model numbers -1 and -2 can be switched and
dimmed in groups. This works even if you also mixing lights from
various series. You need only one MASTER-light with the model
number -2, which are associated up to 15 cheaper SLAVE lights
of the model number -1. Then the master light controls all con-
nected slave luminaires reliable and synchronous.

Unsere D-Serie kann mit dem integrierten Mikrotaster individuell
gedimmt (Baureihe -2) und sogar zwischen Wei- und Rotlicht
umgeschaltet werden (Baureihe -3).
Our D Series can be individually dimmed with the integrated mi-

Leuchtdioden kommt es unwei-
gerlich zu leichten Farbunterschie-
den, die nur im direkten Vergleich
sichtbar werden. Deshalb mssen
die Hersteller angeben, in welchen
Bereichen die Lichtfarbe ihrer Pro-
dukte streut. Diese Einteilung in
fein abgestufte Klassen nennt man
binning. Die von prebit

Dimming: All prebit
lights can be
dimmed with a soft key. The power
consumption is always reduced

Electronics: The electronic control is an internal development of
prebit

Final assembly: Every individual light has exceptional quality and
is therefore produced exclusively in our own manufacturing faci-

Guarantee: We give a three year guarantee of function and pro-
cessing of our LEDs, in accordance with our conditions.
Glass screens: These are still produced in old handcraft tradition.
Small irregularities make every glass an original item.

Service life: Our LEDs last for approximately 50,000 hours. After
that they are not scrap, only their luminosity is decreased. Over
this period of time you would have had to replace approximately
50 bulbs or twelve halogen lamps.

LED ( Le uc htd iod e ) : Eine Light Emitting Diode ist ein elektronisches
Halbleiter-Bauelement, das Licht abstrahlen kann, wenn eine
Stromspannung angelegt wird. LEDs sind klein, Strom sparend
und extrem langlebig. Bei geringstem Platzbedarf strahlen sie in
Leuchtrichtung kaum Wrme ab, emittieren kein UV-Licht und
kein Infrarot.

-Leuchten merken sich

beim Ausschalten ihre Helligkeitsstufe und schalten sich beim
nchsten Mal genau so wieder ein. Das gilt auch, wenn die
Leuchten ber die Schalttafel oder einen Lichtschalter vom
Stromnetz getrennt werden.
Le uc hte nkrp e r: Kein Plastik, kein gebogenes Blech, nur aus dem
Vollen gedrehte Metalle. Die Wandschilde sind aus massivem
Messing stabil genug fr ein langes Leuchtenleben. Die Leuch-
tenkpfe mit den LED-Platinen werden ebenso aufwendig aus
Aluminium gefertigt, um unsere Anforderungen an Wrmeablei-

ten selbst. Erst das ermglicht den besonderen Bedienungskom-
fort, den BOOTSLICHT-Kunden so schtzen.
Stromve rb ra uc h: Der Energiebedarf von LEDs ist um ein Vielfa-
ches geringer als bei einer Glh- oder auch Halogenlampe. Mit
einem 3W-BOOTSLICHT knnen Sie eine 10-15W Halogenleuchte
ersetzen, mit einer 9W starken D2 sogar eine 60W-Glhbirne (sie-
he auch Lichtausbeute).
Tre ib e r: Power-LEDs werden grundstzlich mit Konstantstrom-
quellen (Treiber) betrieben, die exakt die bentigte Stromstrke
(A) liefern, whrend die Spannung (V) im Toleranzrahmen der
LEDs schwankt. Bei einer konstanten Spannung wrde die ma-
ximal zulssige Stromstrke berschritten und die Power-LEDs
zerstrt. Bei prebit
-BOOTSLICHT ist der Treiber praktischerweise

schon eingebaut.
LED (light-emitting diode): A light emitting diode is an electronic
semiconductor component which can radiate light if a voltage is
applied. LEDs are small, energy-saving and extremely long-lived.
Requiring only the least amount of space, they radiate scarcely
any heat in the lighting direction, as well as emitting no ultraviolet
or infrared radiation.
Last condition: All prebit
dimmable lights remember their ambi-

ent light level on switching o, and the next time they switch to
exactly the same intensity. This also applies if the lights are isola-
ted from the mains supply using a control panel or a light switch.
Light xture body: No plastic, no bent plating, only fully machined
metal. The wall xtures are of solid brass - durable enough for a
long light xture life. The light heads with LED circuit boards are
also extensively produced in aluminum in order to meet our de-
mands on heat dissipation and durability.

Light eciency: High-power LEDs of
the latest generation have really ta-
ken over to a great extent in compari-
son with bulbs and uorescent lamps.
The overriding eciency of the LED is
evident when a comparison is made
of the brightness (l = lumen) with the
energy consumed (W = watt): Hardly
any other illuminant for living space
converts so much energy into light
than the LED.
Light color: Is LED light unattractive?
This no longer applies to high-quality
light-emitting diodes! Their heat-white
light color (ww) is as comfortable as
halogen light. Neutral white (nw) diodes are also pleasant and
even a little brighter.
Light quality: A decisive factor here is the selection of the dio-
des, their electronic control and their position in the light xture
body, however also the shape and structuring of the light head
or screen. In a word: Good light requires care and experience.

Made in Germany: We use high-class German workmanship with
our metal processing, electroplating, glassworks and manufac-
ture.
Surfaces: Perfect coatings of chrome or gold protect the light
xture bodies and guarantee an elegant appearance.
Red-white changeover: Some prebit
models can be changed

from white to red light. Red light is less blinding and is therefore
recommended when traveling at night.
Software: This is indispensable for the electronics to know what to
do. We develop the software and program our lights ourselves.
This mainly enables particular ease of operation, which is so desi-
red by the boat light customer.
Power consumption: The energy demand of LEDs is a multiple
less than bulbs or halogen lamps. You can replace a 10-15W ha-
logen lamp with a 3W BOOT LIGHT, with a 9 W intensity D2 you
can replace a 60W bulb (see also light eciency).
Drivers: Power LEDs are basically operated with constant-current
sources (driver) which supply the exactly required amperage (A),
while the voltage (V) uctuates within the tolerance range of
LEDs. With a constant voltage, the maximum admissible am-
perage would be exceeded and the power LEDs destroyed. In
case of prebit
BOAT LIGHTS, the driver is already integrated.
