Title of the project:


Brief study on different types of Loans and Advances provided by Union
Bank of India

Introduction:
The Union Bank of India was built up in twentieth century and declared
open by the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on 1920. The bank with its
efficient value-added services, sustained growth, consistent profitability and
development of new technologies bank has ensured complete customer delight,
living up to its image of, GOOD PEOPLE TO BANK WITH. Bank is offering
credit cards, home loan, union demat, Kisan ATM, International debit card,
online tax payment facility, Railway e-ticketing kiosk, etc., services to its
customers through core banking solution. Union Bank of India is a Public Sector
Unit consisting of 60.85% Share Capital held by the Government of India. The
rest 39.15 % of Share Capital is presently held by Institutions, Individuals and
Others. The Bank is a member of Cash Tree consortium and also has a bilateral
arrangement with State Bank of India. The network also facilitates the
implementation of Core Banking Solution, apart from DEMAT services, Cash
Management services, fund transfers, messaging system, etc. The Bank is using
VSAT network for connecting branches and ATMs wherever leased line
connectivity is not feasible. Union Bank of India is one of India's largest state-run
banks and is also listed on the Forbes 2000.

To study the rules governing the process of granting a loan.
To study the effects of general and rural advances.
To study the related problem with loans and advances.
To study how to handle problem associate with the loans and
advances.
To study about the different norms of advancing loans.
To study the benefits of the debtor as well as the organization by
different types of loans.
To study the services of general and rural advances.

Research Methodology:
Union bank of India is a nationalized schedule bank. The bank has an
average of 50-100 customers. The project will be done on the effective field
study in Tura. The field study will be done on the collection of primary and
secondary data. The questionnaires have been prepared through which more
information will be collected from the organization.

Source of Data:
a) Primary Data: Primary data of the organization is important for the
management of the organization and is collected from the customer
within the organization
b) Secondary Data: It will be collected from various sources like Banks
annual reports.

Questionnaires:
Analysis will be done on the basis of questionnaires circulated to the
customer and executives. All these questionnaires will be collected, evaluated
and analyzed.

Sample Size:
Sample size will be 20 employee and 50 customers

Sampling Procedure:
A simple sampling procedure is used to get sample unit from the customer.

Conclusion:
The duration of the project would be of two months .Within this period I
am very hopeful of fulfilling all the objectives mentioned above and finally be
able to suggest recommendation for the better efficiency of the organization.
