Oats Upma:

3 cups oats flakes


1/2 cup coconut-grated
1 big onion-chopped fine
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp gram dal(split)
few curry leaves
3-4 whole red chillies
1 or 1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp refined oil
2ml water

!ash 3 cups of "ats flakes twice or thrice and drain the water#$ress with our hands so that the remaining
water will be drained well#%ow the "ats is ready to be cooked#
&eat oil in a kadai'add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds#
!hen they splutter' add 1 cup chopped onions'whole red chillies'1 tbsp split gram dal and curry leaves and
saute this for 2 mins#
(dd the drained oats flakes to the kadai#)prinkle 1ml water and 1 tsp salt and mi* well#)tir for 3 mins#
)prinkle 1ml water again and stir it for 4 more mins-till little dry#
(dd the gated coconut and mi* well and cook for 3-4 minutes on a very slow fire till it is well blended#
)erve it hot for breakfast or dinner(with grated coconut and sugar)#
Oats Idlli:
1 cup oats
1/2 cup low fat curd or any curd
salt to taste

1 tsp split chana dal
1 tbsp split chana dal
1 tsp urud dal
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
/ tsp mustard#

0irst coarsely powder the oat (not too fine) then add salt#
(dd water and make it into a dough in such a consistency like idli batter#

if you wish' heat 1 tsp oil and add the dals and mustard when it splitters and it to the mi*
%ow put it into the idli molds and steam as we do for idli
if u don't have idly vessel, just keep a broad sauce pan or vessel put water to 1/2 inch height allow the water and
use it as idly vessel.In small cups, pour the batter to 1/ of the cup. !eep the cups inside the boiling water in the
vessel and cover it tightly with a lid stem for " to 1# mints in medium flame
Oats Moong Dhal:
1 1/2 cups $ar boiled rice
1 cup oats
1/2 cup moong dhal
2 tsp cup 0enugreek seeds
1/4 cup urad dhal
2 tsp )alt(to taste)
1/4 cup refined oil
0or red thick-chutney1
2 red chillies'1 tbsp grated coconut'2 tsp pottu kadalai(split gram dhal)'1 cm si3e tamarind'
1 sambar onion'1/2 garlic clove and salt tother with 1/4 cup water

)oak "ats for 12 mins separately before grinding the dosa-batter#
)oak rice with moong dhal'urad dhal and fenugreek seeds together for
2 hours and then grind them with soaked "ats to a fine dosa batter #
4i* salt to the batter#+he batter should be thin enough to prepare thin dosas#
-et this ferment for 5 hrs and then make nice dosas with oil in a non-stick tawa#
)erve this "ats-4oong dhal dosa with red thick chutney(grind 2 red chillies'1 tbsp grated coconut'2 tsp pottu
kadalai(split gram dhal)'1 cm si3e tamarind'1 sambar onion'1/2 garlic clove and salt together with 1/4 cup
water
Breakfast in a Glass:
1 apple chopped ( remove skeen)
2 strawberry chopped
1 banana chopped
2 tbsp curd
11/2 cup milk
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp oats
2-6 drop of venila assence

+ake the mi*er 7ar add all above fruits crush#
+hen pour curd' milk' oats' honey vennila assence#
+hen add ice cubes 8 again crush#
+ake in to serving glass#
