16f88 Brushless ESC

Notes

1. On Power up the initial motor settings can be read from EEProm into ram:
timing, acceleration, governor speed etc.
2. If the input is held high on power up the software will go into interface
mode to allow variable parameter update from a PC (serial port bit
banged I/F ).
3. Current limiting is set by monitoring the voltage from the lower saturated
FET via the resistive divider. If the time is available (around 20uS per
conversion) each count is around 15mV so 4 counts should be around the
limit. The PWM o/p should be checked during monitoring to ensure that it
was high at start and finish.
4. On power up the drive to the FETs is driven off by the internal resisters of
the Logic Transistors causing the output line to be held low.
5. Motor phase sensing reference is achieved by a resistive divider when the
FETs are off and by the divider made by the three arms of the motor
inductance when the FETs are on. Resisters should be 1% for this.
6. RA0,1 or 3 can monitor the supply for undervoltage and illuminate the
LED when the voltage falls below the predefined level. The monitoring is
carried out when the appropriate P type is conducting. If the voltage is too
low at switch on or during ramp up the controller will shut down and just
display the LED constantly.
7. The LED will flash for 5 secs when turned on or until a valid tx signal is
received, whereupon the unit will beep.

* insert utterly nonsensical claim here. Designed to make fat lawyers
