Background: Allison graduated from Lincolnway East High School. She works as a
bagger at Jewel in New Lenox, having previously worked at Starbucks and Wendys.
Allison enjoys arts and crafts, video games and basketball in her spare time.
Accomplishments: Allison was named Lincolnway Special Recreation Associations
Athlete of the Year in 2010. She won the Ron Knisley Spirit of the Games Award
three times at Special Olympics Illinois State Basketball tournaments. She has nearly
100 Special Olympics medals.
Summary of Impact Special Olympics has had on athlete: Allison says that Special
Olympics has made her a better person it really keeps me active and moving around
a lot. I love doing sports for Special Olympics! Going to the USA Games means
everything to Allison and she is very excited to do something new and meet everyone
at the games.
