PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Bank of America, Concord, CA 2002-2014 Software Consultant Provided technical support for mainframe-based billing analysis and financial reporting system, providing data to Finance, Billing and Sales teams as well as statements for services to external customers. Developed database driven procedure for data loading into MIS system. Cut development and testing time for new data input files by roughly 70-80%. Modified billing application to calculate differentiated pricing on wires based on destination country of wire, rather than type of wire. Increased revenue to bank of roughly $250K per month. Built automated interface from billing system to account system of record. Cut lead time on collection of monthly billing charges by approximately 5-10 days. Revenue increase due to earlier fee collection estimated at $100K per month, as well as reducing data entry errors for fee collections by more than 90%. Built Excel-based spreadsheets to allow field Sales teams to generate special pricing profiles for billing customers. Set up US operations initially in greater New York area, establishing accounting and HR systems, integrating accounting with UK-based home office. Moved operations to San Francisco area in 1989, with requisite changes in accounting and HR systems due to differences in state laws. Found contract work and, where needed, staff to fulfill contracts, expanding operations to 5 US- based contract programmers.
