Tonight I have a speaking engagement at the
Worthington Christian Village. This is always a joy
for me as I have an opportunity to meet great
Christian people. It is also an opportunity to
spend time with the village Chaplain and his wife,
who I served with in ministry in Marion, Ohio for
several years. Please pray that I share a message
that is relevant to their needs and that I can be a
blessing as I seek to minister to them. With that
being said, tonight there will be a Mystery
Speaker who will bring the message during our
evening service. On June 15
th
, I will continue in
our current series and our theme will be: The
Most Dangerous Word. I do hope you can join
us.

June 19 - Columbus Clippers outing at
Huntington Park. The game starts at 12:05, so
we will leave the church at 11:00. Most tickets
available have already been claimed but I have a
few left. If you want to go, simply contact me at
740.550.9882 by June 15
th
. They are playing the
Buffalo Bisons. General admission cost is $16.00.

June 22 - Our Grundy Mission trip will be here in a
matter of weeks. We will have a Grundy
meeting on Sunday, June 22
nd
, immediately
after the morning worship. This meeting will be
brief. We will distribute information packets and
spend time in prayer asking Gods blessing on this
trip.

We have been given permission to park at the
Halteman-Fett Funeral Home on Sunday
mornings. For those who are able to do so, we
encourage you to park there so others who are
more physically challenged can park on our lots.
Thanks for your cooperation.

In His Service,
Brad
BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

PERSONAL NOTE: On Friday, May
30, we returned from another great week
of Senior Saints in the Smokies. There
were eight of us from Fifth Avenue. In
the 24 trips we have made to this
Knoxville event, God has blessed us with
safety. We are so thankful! Next year
will be the 31
st
edition. We have
information available, if you would like
to consider joining us next year. (The
date will be May 25-29, 2015).

KEENAGER TRI P: Our next adventure
will take place on Wednesday, June 25.
On that day, we will be traveling to New
Concord to visit the National Road Zane
Grey Museum and the John Glenn Home.
From there, we will motor on to
Cambridge for lunch and a visit to the
Hopalong Cassidy Museum, which is
housed in the Scotts Antique Mall. Our
departure time is 8:00 AM. The cost for
admission and travel is $13.00 per
person. Lunch will be on your own. A
sign-up sheet is posted. I will appreciate
your payment when you sign up. (Our
new policy is that if you have paid and
find you cannot make a trip, we will
refund any admission fees but cannot
return gas money. We figure that amount
too close for refunds!)

NO MI DWEEK BI BLE STUDI ES:
This week, June 11, our two study groups
(10:00 am & 6:30 pm) will not be
meeting. We will be meeting on June 18
to complete our study of II Timothy.

FI NAL THOUGHT: When you can
think of yesterday without regret, and
tomorrow without fear, you are on the
road to success.

At our June meeting we will have a time of
refreshment! Bring a light snack or appetizer to
share with the group. We will have an introduction
and overview of Saving Amelie by Cathy Goehlke,
the book for our July meeting, and will enjoy a time
of fellowship with other book lovers!

Cathy Gohlke couldn't write an inferior novel if she
tried. All her releases so far have been bright with
excellence, compelling stories, and unforgettable
characters. Saving Amelie confirms Cathy's
superior writing ability, as well as her understanding
of history and compassion for its people. Set during
World War II in Nazi Germany, the story will draw
you in from the first page and not let you go until
the end. One reviewer wrote of the "heart" and
"faith" woven into the story, as well as the bravery
and obedience to God's Word, even in impossible
circumstances. The "facts" and research of the
story are all too true, and if you've read any of the
author's other novels you know you can expect a
great read about a difficult, even horrifying, subject
from this, her most recent effort. Cathy Gohlke
writes from the heart ... a caring heart ... and from a
wealth of research and insight as well. A major
achievement from a major author.

Ladies Pinterest Night

Do you go to yard sales? Do you have extra
standard-sized pillowcases that you don't ever
use? We are collecting new or nearly new
pillow cases to make some dresses for our
Pinterest Night which is Friday, July 25th. We
are also asking for donations of thread and
extra-wide, double-fold bias tape, as we will be
sewing these dresses for some little girls in
another country. You can leave your donations
by the ladies ministry room, downstairs in the
fellowship hall. More information about our
Pinterest Night will be given soon.

Check out the display of a sample of a
pillowcase dress in the church library.

Core Values...

Values central to the life, mission and
vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:

Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our
music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-
based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our
authority (2 Timothy 3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance
Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony &
live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity
of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism,
proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-
Coming King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry
After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to
find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to
serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His
church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of
Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks
a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other
words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change
your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical
marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah
56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

OUR PURPOSE

WE EXIST TO

Exalt Gods Greatness;
Evangelize Gods Work
Equip Gods People
Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ

OUR MISSION
To Love God and Love
People!
How Can I Respond Today?
At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all
issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear
concerning what a person must do to become a
Christian.
Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation.
Turn (repent) from the sin in your life.
Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord
of your life.
Be baptized (immersed) in water for the
forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy
Spirit into your life.
To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you
come forward during our commitment song at the
conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers
are welcome to become members at FACC by coming
forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior
Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you
complete a series of Curious classes to help you
better understand what you are committing to as a
member. If you would like to take a Curious class,
please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.
