Rationale
I am including these pieces of artifacts, because
they all have helped me learn all of the various
managements and developing. In my small
business plan, I had to write down all of the
managements I will be having employed in my
small business plan and why. For example, I will
be my own accountant, human resources
manager, etc. Developing was the main piece to
the Entrepreneurship part, my class and I
developed many events to help fu nd raise
money for our FBLA Spring Conference. We
created about 5 bake sales and raised about 150
dollars. This helped me understand how to
develop and run an event.


Knowledge

I learned all the purposes of each management
in Introduction to Business Ch.6 The Nature of
Management. It helped me learn what managers
I would want in my business, and the skills I
would need to obtain to run my business without
needing every single management. Knowing all
these managements and skills will definitely help
me save money in the long run, instead of hiring
different employees and managers to do the job.
I also learned what managers I would need in my
business 5 years later when I did the
Management and Personnel part of my small
business plan. I learned how to develop an
event, fundraise, and teamwork. For example we
will have team activities in our class, so one of
them was who could raise the most money for
our FBLA spring conference. My team and I
created a bake sale and raised 80 dollars, while
the other team did a basketball game and raised
15 dollars.
Skills
The main skills I utilized and developed are time
management, developing events, leadership
skills, and teamwork skills. For example working
in team activities helped me achieve leadership
skills and teamwork skills. When our team had to
come up with an idea for fundraising, I took
responsibility to make 50 cookies and buy hot
chocolate. This helped our team beat the other
team, so I also obtained competition skills a lot in
this program.
Growth and
Improvement
Statement

The only thing I would do differently is the
developing time. I would want to do the
fundraising events ahead of time and advertise
more throughout school. We did them at a fast
rate, and did not meet deadlines in some of the
events. In conclusion, it has helped me grown
and improve in meeting deadlines, and creating
events.
