Description
The Real Time Market Data Integration team manages the deployment of servers and applications which disseminate
market data to trading applications and other business units. The focus is on system integration of highly available
systems that can process large quantities of data with very low latency. These systems carry all realtime data such as
stock prices, inde values, option prices, and fied income instruments. !e require an integration engineer with some
development eperience to help us implement planned initiatives in our area. The role is varied, you will be involved in
a number of concurrent pro"ects, focusing on new feed deployments for #ied Income and #$.
Responsibilities will include%
& Manage or participate in the implementation and rollout of new services and products. 'erform integration and
regression tests, organi(e )ser *cceptance Testing +)*T, with end users and groups and provide feedback to
development teams if applicable.
& Manage third party applications and technologies liaising with suppliers or vendors as appropriate.
& Design and create preventative maintenance functions including monitoring of logs, alarms, system performance,
and capacity.
& 'erform software decommission, installation, upgrades in accordance with Morgan -tanley.s /hange /ontrol
'rocedures.
& 0ecome a specialist on specific areas and provide consultancy and feedback to internal clients, developers and
'ro"ect Managers.
& *ssist pro"ect managers with pro"ect management activities, including requirements gathering, planning, budgeting,
resource planning and management, etc.
& 'ro"ect manage the implementation and rollout of new services, upgrade of production services, system and
applications.
& /lient12endor1-upplier Management & *ttend periodic and ad&hoc client and vendor meetings and provide input
where appropriate
& Document, implement and adhere to operational and technical standards, best practices, processes, and
procedures.
& *ssist with identifying and implementing areas for improvement within eisting operational and technical processes
and maintain related documentation -upport #unctions
& *ct as an escalation point for 'roduction Management 3evel 4 support teams.
& 'erform 3evel 5 support activities and root cause analysis using Morgan -tanley.s designated tools, processes and
procedures.
& 6scalate issues to development team and provide feedback and analysis for break fiing.

Qualifications

& )7I$13inu scripting% /andidates need to be proficient in navigating )7I$ servers, have good knowledge of the
ma"ority of operational functions in )7I$ and be able to read 1 write and maintain )7I$ shell scripts.
& '6R3 scripting% /andidates should have some eposure to '6R3 as a scripting language as a minimum. The
deeper the knowledge of '6R3 the better.
& 7etworking +e.g. T/'1I',% *dditional technical skill on the networking side 8 understand the concepts of T/'1I' and
)D' connectivity and data transfer. 9nowledge of multicast is an advantage.
& )7I$13inu operating systems% /andidates should understand )7I$ concepts in order to perform resource
monitoring, and be able to tune operating system parameters according to applications requirements.
& 'roblem solving skills% Must be able to tackle problems based on limited information, be able to seek out solutions
and work around problems. They need to be able to do this in the short term for quick outage resolution as well as
proactive problem elimination.
& Interpersonal skills1communication & :ood quality 6nglish speaking is essential as there is regular interaction with
peer teams, internal clients, vendors and suppliers in any other region. /andidates must be able to communicate
clearly and concisely to minimi(e misunderstandings and to ensure fast and accurate dissemination of information.
& ;perational background% /andidates need to have worked and be eperienced in support roles, and be used to
performing in a variety of roles with dynamic in switching between them.
