Container Freight Station (CFS): A shipping dock where cargo is loaded

(stuffed) into or unloaded (stripped) from containers. Generally, this involves less than
container load shipments, although small shipments destined to same consignee are often
consolidated.
Initially all sea import consignments loaded in ig !argo "essels (#hip) are arrived and
unloaded at $ain #ea %ort &erminal, 'ne of the (iggest #ea port &erminal in india is situated in
$um(ai named as )*%&.

Afterwards different !ontainers are (eing transferred from $ain sea port to +ifferent !,#
-ocations to ,acilitate the Importer for taking smooth delivery of the shipments and to avoid
huge congestions of #ea traffic at $ain port &erminal like )*%&.

charges payment to (e carried out for !argo clearance.
7. -ifting, loading / unloading of cargo in the importers truck.trailer for onward inland
transportation upto the consignee8s address.
