The application format for beneficiary identification has been enclosed herewith. In
this regard, the Joint Directors of Agriculture are requested to instruct the block level
Assistant Directors of Agriculture that the application should be forwarded to Executive
Engineer concerned with copy to this office. Before 5.2.2014

Further, the Assistant/Junior Engineers will inform about the following
technical information for field inspection and preparation of techno feasibility report to
Chief Engineer (Agriculture Engineering).
1. The source of irrigation should be bore well with minimum 6 dia.
2. The maximum total dynamic head shall be 100 Meters with 15 Meters operating head
in case of Drip Irrigation system or 25 Meters operating head in case of Sprinkler
Irrigation system.
3. The expected water output/yield from the proposed SPV pumping system is 91,000
litres per day from a total head of 50 Meters.
4. Required shade free area available for installation of SPV modules.
After preparation of techno feasibility reports, the sub-division wise abstract of the
feasible applications will be prepared and to be submitted by the Executive Engineer (AE)
to Chief Engineer (Agriculture Engineering). The formats for techno feasibility report and
abstract report on feasible applications are enclosed for information.
The technical specifications of the solar powered pumping system with bore well
submersible pumps are also enclosed for information.

Recommendations:

1. The Beneficiary is having /not having necessary bore well for installation of the
SPV pumping system. The installation of the SPV pump- 5HP AC submersible
pump (4800wp) is feasible/not feasible in this site.
2. Farmer has already installed/is willing to install Micro irrigation system in his/her
field and is willing/not willing to link it with the Solar powered pumping system.
3. The farmer is willing/not willing to remit the contribution amount by means of
Demand draft.
