(1) Pre-Production (2) Production (3) Post-Production PRE-PRODUCTION: Is the preparation of everything that happens before the shooting begins, the more prepared you are the better the production what you want. The activities involved are: SCRIPT: Is any written document often a story that you want to turn to a film or a documentary. STORYBOARD: This is a structure that will help to define the video, what shots that you needed by the cameramen and is there going to be voice, music video. PRODUCTION: Is when the crew and equipment will arrived at the location at the time and date that have being agreed on for them to start shooting according to briefing, storyboard and shoot list. POST-PRODUCTION: Is when turning all the video capture in a production that can be watchable in accordance with the brief and storyboard. The editor will import the video capture unto the computer using the editing software and also assemble the first edit, edit the rough cut, picture and audio mastering, tile and graphics, colour correction, audio sweetening and then the master edit. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY RESEARCH PRIMARY RESEARCH: During our Documentary we carry out so many primary research and we went to Brixton market to interview some of the traders about their product, and how they feel about the market now and then with some of them talk about the issue of parking that the parking is one of the problem that they are facing in the market and if the Government can help them to solve the issue of the parking, some of them talk about the different shops that are now coming up and we interview some customers about the changings of the market we also carry out some questionnaires and surveys about the changes of the market now and then. SECONDARY RESEARCH: During our documentary we carry out research and that is secondary research are research that we make use of information that his previously researched for other purpose and publicly available. Secondary research includes research that is published in the internet, Library, we carry out some research in the internet about Brixton, location, people living around Brixton and the different aspect of the market. product that they are selling in the market and how the market is been structure and what has decline from the market NOW and THEN, we also visit the Brixton library to check for books about Brixton market on when the market was founded and what product that was first sold in the market day in day out for shopping. TYPES OF MICROPHONE During our interview we use two different type of microphones the Cardioid (Clip Mic) and Supercardioid (shotgun). Unidirectional mics usually pick up sound are greater sensitivity from the front than from other directions. Cardioid mic are use in front of a camera or camcorder where there is the potential for background noise to overshadow the interviewees voice. During our documentary we use different camera shots, we then use a close-up shot during our interview with the traders and customers, we also use wide-shot and medium-shot. The reverse shot happen during the interview with one of the general public and the trader and the fruit, Brixton sign was use for the cutaway. Mise en Scene happen before we started our filming and the clip mic was place on the trader and were he the trader was going to stand during the interview, questions that we are going to ask him and how to face the camera during interview, also the positions of the trader in a good space EXAMPLES OF DOCUMENTARY FORMATS: EXPOSITORY FORMAT: These are nonfiction film that talks about verbal commentary, argumentative and authoritative e.g. TV shows POETIC FORMAT: These are early films of the 1920 in black and white that tells a story with a voice over e.g. Night and Fog. OBSERVATIONAL FORMAT: These mode are use to observe lived life with a minimum of intervention. PARTICIPATORY FORMAT: This bring the interactive between the filmmaker and subject e.g. Man with a movie camera. REFLEXIVE FORMAT: This mode didnt show themselves visible window on the world e.g. Man with a movie camera. PERFORMATIVE FORMAT: This mode is subject to emotional and experience responds to the world e.g. Free Fall. EVALUATION: We were divided into groups and in my group we were four in my group and we all came up with different ideas for the documentary and my idea was Brixton Pound, you have to produce pre-production process, you have to write you own production schedule for your documentary, your idea of how you want your documentary to look like, you have to design a spidergraph for your documentary and also you have to produce a production diary and Maxwell Stephens

You will write your script or storyboard on how you want your documentary to look like and you will also list what shot you want to use for your documentary, you will also have to carry out risk assessment on where you want to carry out your shooting, you have to produce one shooting schedule and produce a recee report. The documentary we be taken to the editing studio were you have to transfer the video into the system were you have to log in your clip on after the other these are what we are doing now and the editing is not yet finish till now.
