INTRODUCTION
The New Apostolic Church is the apostolic church
again restored by God, with the same organization as
once founded by Jesus, the Head of the church.
In fulfillment of His manifold promises in the Holy
Scripture, the Lord again gave, as at the beginning,
"judges and counsellors" (Isaiah 1:.26) and teachers of
righteousness (Joel 2:23*), namely aposties, as master-
builders of the church (1. CorintMa.ns 3:10) and as
stewards of the mysteries of God (1. Corinthians 4'1).
Jesus, the great Apostle of our profession (I-Jebrelcs
3:1), reveals Himself again to-day as in the early church,
'thru the apostles given by Him. They are holders of the
office that ministers the Spirit (2. CorintJl1:ans 3:8) and
thru them the Lord administers the gift of the Holy
Ghost to His church (Acts 8:14-18 and 19:6).
In the apostles, the ambassadors for Christ (2. Cor-
inthians 5:20), the Lord reveals Himself thru His Holy
Spirit. He speaks and works thru them (Luke 10:16) and
gave them the ministry of reconciliation (2. Corinthians
5:18-20 and 2:10; Ephes1:ans 3:2; John .20:23 awl
Matthew 18:18). In them Christ, thru His Holy Spirit,
is the living Spring from which flows the water of life
that restores the hearts of the faithful, and in truth,
endlessly more than all human doctrine.
Thru the apostles' doctrine, which was called forth
by the Holy Ghost, faith is strengthened and firmly

established in the church of the Lord, love is awakened,
enlivened and nourished, a living hope in all the given
promises is constantly maintained and a life in glory
and righteousness and in the nature of Jesus is promoted
and fostered, so' that the apostolic church shall become
a legible, living epistle of Christ (2. Corinthians 3:2-3).
The supreme administration of the New Apostolic
Church is incumbent upon the Chief Apostle. The
apostles are appointed and installed in their office by
the Chief Apostle and if necessary also recalled by the
same.
The district apostles have incumbent upon them the
care of all the churches in their districts (2. Corinthians
11 :28). Therefore we find in the early church a number'
of additional assistant's offices, which the Lor~ Jesus,
thru the apostles, calls into service and ordains and all
of which are utilized according to the gifts bestowed
upon them thru the Holy Ghost and in conformity with
their official character. As at the time of the early
church, they have the fostering of the congregation in
doctrine, administration of the Sacrament of Baptism
and the Lord's' Supper, thru truly edifying religious
services, thru visiting the families and the sick, etc.
Thi s they do out of love to the Lord of the church, to
His honor, to the furthering of His kingdom and, out of
pure love to the souls, as bearers of the blessing who are
in constant and close communication with the apostles
as the vessels of blessing set by the Lord.
Under the fostering of the offices set by the Lord

(1. Corinthians 12:28; Ephes,ians 4:11) the believers or
$aints and sanctified, as they, the people who carried
the Holy Ghost in them, were called in the early church
(1. Corinthians 1:2; Romans 1:7), shall be prepared and
endowed or, expressed in other words, the body of
Christ shall be edified. As this work is necessary until
the coming of the Lord, the offices set by Jesus should
also continue to exist, as the Apostle Paul so states in
Ephesians 4:13 in the plain words: "Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fullness of Christ." Under any other
organizatioIl, which deviates from this divine one and
therefore, must be designated as human, the church of
Jesus, the congregation of the first-born and chosen or
the elect of Jesus Christ, can never be brough t to the
high state of perfection necessary for the final end.
Therefore the members of the New Apostolic Church
assemble themselves in regular religious services with
constant reverence to their great God and Father and
His Son Jesus Christ, their Head and Savior, so that
under. the action of the Holy Ghost thru the again
restored apostleship they may be conformed to the
image of Jesus (Romans 8:29; 2. Corinthians 3:18) and
may one time be presented to their Bridegroom Jesus
as a pure and chaste virgin (2. Corinthians 11:.~). Be-
sides, they continue, as once their Brothers of the early
church, steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellow-
ship, in breaking of bread and in prayers (Acts 2:42)
and like them, as members of the one body of Jesus and
as the sealed with the one Holy Spirit of God, are of
one heart and of one soul (Acts 4:82), of one faith, one
love and one hope (Ephesians 4:8-6).
Moreover, at the present time, in which the judg-
ments of God according to the prophesyings and
promises of the Scripture more and more overtake us,-
they are conscious of the commission the Lord gave"
them, to bear witness to their fellow-men of the visita-
tion of grace experienced and invite them to the work of '
grace seasonably prepared by the Lord (buke 14:21-28).-'
They can from the deepest experience point out, that' ",
all the gracious virtues, spiritual gifts and gracious
blessings, as the Lord of the church gave them in the
beginning, are also to-day again offered and may be
received in abundant measure in the New Apostolic
Church.
However, he, who with heartfelt yearning and longing
looked back to the vanished time of the first "Christian
Pentecost" the "first love," "the first church," and in
profound ~rayer and supplication wished it back again, '
can, if he has attained the original gracious virtues in'
the New Apostolic Church, in truth bear witness that
the Lord is pouring out His promised "latter rain" upon
the people by the imparting of the Holy Ghost (the
Holy Sealing) thru the' laying on of hands of the
apostles.
In the religious services, which, as in the early church,
are simple in form but in the power of the Holy Ghost
edifying, strengthening, prospering and securing the
souls, there flow the heavenly blessings thru the most
artless sermons (of the old "foolish" Word of Christ
crucified, resurrected and coming again, 1. Corinthians
2) and thru the administering of the Sacraments in the
hearts of the believers and saints. In the Sunday
, religious services and the worshipping of the Lord is
centered, in like manner as at the time of the early
church, the celebration of the Holy Lord's Supper.
; All blessings, also when they are administered outside
the religious services, according to the will of our
Savior Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:8), are contributed
free. The same applies to all ecclesiastical acts or writ-
, . ten, attestations; for the apostles as well as the assisting
offices given them know that it is alone the Lord who
shall one time, at the resurrection of the righteous,
- -reward them for their troublesome but blessed labor.
Therefore, they seek no earthly reward, but serve with-
out compensation in as far as they are not forced by
,necessity to place all of their time at the Lord's disposal.
'The means for defraying all expenses are accumulated
thru voluntary gifts, and the Lord shall not let go unre-
warded whatever good one does in the affairs of His
Kingdom.
2.
ORGANIZATION
All of the new apostolic churches together, at home

and abroad, constitute a complete body, the New
Apostolic Church. It is divided in various apostles' dis-
tricts, which are subdivided in bishops' and elders'
districts.
The administration of the Church is incumbent upon
the Supreme Administrator (Chief Apostle), who exer-
cises supreme authority in all ecclesiastical affairs. The
district apostles, in accord with the Supreme Adminis-
trator (Chief Apostle), appoint the religious servants in
the district entrusted to them, which they also-again
in accord with the Chief Apostle-may remove from
their office, if it appears necessary, and replace with a
successor.
An apostles' district is presided over by a district
apostle, to whom are subordinate all of the churches in
the district together with their rectors and other
religious servants.
A bishops' district is administrated by a bishop, who
watches over it in the commission of his apostle, that
the churches and their religious servants continue in the
doctrine of the apostles and are fostered therein. As
steward of the churches and officeholders entrusted to
him, he is the first assistant and support to the apostle,
to whom he is fully responsible.
Over an elders' district that is situated within a
bishops' district or, if such does not exist, subordinate
directly to the apostle, a district elder is set. He
administrates a number of churches under the super-

vision of a bishop or district apostle and is responsible
to them.
For the administration of an individual church a
rector is appointed by the district apostle.
3.
GAIN AND LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP
Any male or female person who has solemnly vowed
to live in conformity with the Confession of Faith, the
New Apostolic Doctrine and the teachings of the Holy
Scripture and to comply with the rules of the church
administration, may become a member of the Church.
The acquisition of membership is divided in two
parts:
1. The Admission.
The admission entitles to the partaking of the bless-
ings of the Church, especially to the every Sunday
celebration of the Holy Lord's Supper.
Applications for admission are to be made, verbally
or in writing, to the rector of the Church, who shall
investigate whether the applicant has regularly at-
tended the services in one congregation for at least three
months and has acquired the necessary knowledge of the
New Apostolic Doctrine. If the application is accepted,
the applicant shall be presented with a copy of this
"Rules and Regulations." Prior to the admission, the
rector or his representative shall make a memorandum
of the personal particulars of the applicant for future
entry in the church book.
 The admission itself as a rule occurs thru a district
rector in a religious service.
2. The Sealing.
Final membership in the Church is acquired first thru
the Holy Sealing.
Following the admission, if one has proven himself
worthy of membership in the Church and there are no
other objections, he may be admitted to the adminis-
tering of the Holy Sealing. Prior to the sealing a person-
ality card shall be signed by the applicant, which is
valid as a regular petition for admittance. A legal
guardian shall sign for children under fourteen years
of age.
The sealing can be performed only by an apostle.
It is a self-understood duty, that all members lead a
God-fearing life and conduct themselves honorably, so
that the respect of the church of Christ may not be
degraded in the eyes of any people.
The members retain the right to secede at any time.
The same shall occur thru a written declaration to the
rector of the congregation.
Besides this, membership expires:
(a) Thru death.
(b) Thru excommunication.
The latter shall occur in writing, thru the district
apostle.
Grounds valid for excommunication are: a disorderly
conduct of life, groundless absence from the religious
services, deliberate and persistent contraventions
against the purpose of the Church, as well as against the
ordinances of the church administration.
4.
COMPLAINTS OF THE MEMBERS
AGAINST THE OFFICEHOLDERS
. Should the conduct of an officeholder be contrary to
the doctrine, the institution and the Confession of
Faith of the New Apostolic Church, the members then
have the right to inform the district apostle thereof.
5.
CONFESSIONS
Should anyone, regardless of the grace received,
feel disturbed over grievous errors they have made, they
have the right to apply to their apostle, but never to any
other officeholder. The apostle, as one sent by the
Lord, is in duty bound to the strictest reticence over
the confessions entrusted to him.
Persons who are related to their apostle unto the
fourth generation may apply to the prevailing chief
apostle for the purpose of making a confession.
6.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
From the voluntary, charitable gifts of the members,
which are deposited in the offertory box in the church
auditorium, sundry expenditures are to be defrayed,

such as: the cost of providing churches and their fur-
nishings, the fitting up and rental of church-halls, the
cost of light and heat; missionary support, contribu-
tions for universal public welfare and charitableness; the
support of needy congregations, traveling expenses,
postage, Communion wine and wafers, sustentation of
such official servants, who, for the sake of the work had
to give up their former occupation, together with other
expenses connected with the administration of the
Church.
The official Brothers shall makeno financial demands
upon the members of the Church.
In the event of bequests being made to the Church
one should as a rule apply to the prevailing district
apostle.
The congregation rectors and district rectors shall
render to their district apostle, a monthly statement and
forward any eventual balance to the treasury designated
by him.
The district apostles shall render to the Chief Apostle,
a monthly statement of their receipts and expenditures
and conscientiously administrate the cash and other
assets on hand; besides they shall render the Chief
Apostle a quarterly statement of all assets and at the
end of each year render an audited account.
1. I believe in God the Father, Almighty Creator of
Heaven and earth.
2. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son,
our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born
of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell, the
third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the
Father Almighty, from whence He shall come again to
judge the quick and the dead.
3. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Apostolic
Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of
sins, the resurrection of the dead, and the life ever-
lasting.
4. I believe that the Lord Jesus governs or rules His
Church thru living apostles until upon His return, and
that He sent and still sends them into the world, just
as He was sent by the Father, so that they should in
His name , thru His commission, teach and baptize all
the peoples of the earth.
5. I believe that all ministerial officers of the Church
of Christ are chosen and ordained to office alone thru
living apostles, and that all gifts and powers of the
Church must come forth thru the apostolate of Christ,
whereby the Church shall be prepared and become a
legible letter of Christ.
 _ 6. I believe that man thru Holy Baptism receives the
mark of the Lamb, and that it is the bath of rebirth,
thru which man becomes a member of the body of
Christ; it is also the covenant of a good conscience
with God.
10. I believe that the authority of God's servants is
for our welfare, and whoever resists this authority,
resists God's ordinance, because it is ordained by God.

7. I believe that the Lord's Supper should be

celebrated in remembrance of that unexceptionable,
once for all time consummated sacrifice of bitter suffer-
ing and death of Jesus Christ, as instituted by Himself,
with unleavened bread and with wine, and that both
must be blessed and administered thru a priestly office
of the Church.

8. I believe that the baptized believers must be sealed

with the Holy Ghost solely by the laying on of hands by
a living apostle, in order to become firstlings, and that
thru the sealing the gifts received become enlivened.

9. I believe that the Lord Jesus will come again as

surely as He ascended into heaven, and that at His
glorious appearance the firstlings of the dead and living,
who lived in hope of His coming, shall be transfigured
and united with Him, that these, His firstlings, shall
reign with Him as Kings and Priests in the king-
dom of peace; furthermore, that Jesus Christ at the end
of time shall appear with His saints for the last judg-
ment, when all still living, together with the remaining
dead,. shall receive their judgment according to their
acts or works in this life, whether good or evil.

und Glaubensbekenntnis
fur die Mitglieder der
Neuapostolischen Kirche
 1.
EINFUHRUNG
Die N euapostolische Kirche ist die von Gott wieder-
hergestellte apostolische Kirche mit denselben Einrich-
tungen, wie sie einstens vOn Jesus, dem Haupte del'
Kirche, gegriindet wurde.
Als Erfiillung seiner vielfachen Verheissungen in del'
Heiligen Schrift hat der Herr wieder wie am Anfang
"Richter und Ratsherren" (J esaia 1,26) und Lehrer zur
Gerechtigkeit (Joel 2,23) gegeben, namlich Apostel als
Baumeister del' Gemeinde (1. Korinther 3,10) und
Haushalter iiber Gottes Geheimnisse (1. Korinther
4,1). Jesus, der grosse Apostel unseres Bekenntnisses
(Hebraer 3,1), offenbart sich wie in del' Urkirche so
auch heute wieder in den von ihm gegebenen Aposteln.
Sie sind Trager des Amtes, das den Geist gibt (2. Kor-
inther 3,8), und del' Herr spendet durch sie seiner
Gemeinde die Gabe des Heiligen Geistes (Apostelge-
schichte 8,14-18; 19,6). In den Aposteln, den Botschaf-
tern an Christi Statt (2. Korinther 5,20), offenbart sich
der Herr durch seinen Heiligen Geist. Er redet und
wirkt (Lukas 10,16) durch sie und hat ihnen das Amt
der Versohnung gegeben (2. Korinther 5,20; 2,10;
Epheser 3,2; Johannes 20,23; Matthiius 18,18). In ihnen
ist Christus durch seinen Heiligen Geist die lebendige
Quelle, aus der das Wasser des Lebens fliesst, das die
Herzen del' GIaubigen erquickt, und zwar unendlich
mehr als aile menschliche Lehre. Durch die von dem
Heilig€nGeiste bewirkte Apostellehre. wiI'd in del'
Gemeinde des Herrn del' Glaube gestirkt und befestigt,

die Liebe erweckt, belebt und genahrt, die Hoffnung auf
die Erftillung aller gegebenen Verheissungen stets
lebendig erhalten und·· ein Leben in Heiligkeit und
Gerechtigkeit und in der Gesinnung Jesu gefOrdert und
gepflegt, so dass die apostolische Kirche ein lesbarer,
lebendiger Brief Christi werden solI (2. Korinther 3,2.3).
Die Hauptleitung der Neuapostolischen Kirche liegt
dem Stammapostel ob. Die Apostel werden von dem
Stammapostel ernannt und in ihr Amt eingewiesen und
nbtigenfalls auch durch denselben abberufen. Den
Bezirksaposteln liegt die Sorge fUr aIle Gemeinden
ihres Bezirks ob (2. Korinther 11,28). Daher sind ihnen
wie in der Urkirche eine Anzahl von Hilfsamtern zur
Seite gegeben, die der Herr Jesus durch die Apostel zu
ihrem Dienste beruft und ordiniert und die aIle nach
den ihnen durch den Heiligen Geist verliehenen Gaben
und entsprechend ihrem Amtscharakter Verwendung
finden. Wie zur Zeit del' Urkirche haben sie die Ge-
meinde zu pflegen in Lehre, Verwaltung del' heiligen
Sakramente der Taufe und des Abendmahls, durch
wahl' haft erbauende Gottesdienste, durch Besuche del'
Familien und Kranken usw. Dies tun sie aus Liebe zu
dem Herrn del' Kirche, zu seiner Ehre, zur Fbrderung
seines Reiches und aus reiner Liebe zu den Seelen als
Segenstrager, die mit den Aposteln als den vom Herrn
gesetzten Segensgefassen in steter und inniger Ver-
bindung stehen.
Unter del' Pflege del' vom Herrn gesetzten Amter
(1. Korinther 12,28; Epheser 4,11) sollen die Glaubigen

odeI' Heiligen und Geheiligten, wie sie als die den
Heiligen Geist in sich tragenden Menschen in del'
Urkirche genannt wurden (1. Korinther 1,2; Romer 1,7),
zu ihrem hohen Ziele zubereitet und ausgertistet, oder,
mit anderen Worten ausgedrtickt solI del' Leib Christi
erbaut werden. Weil diese Arbeit bis zum Kommen des
Herrn notig ist, sollten auch die von Jesus gesetzten
Amter immer bestehen bleiben, wie dies del' Apostel
Paulus in Epheser 4,13 mit klaren Worten sagt: "Bis
dass wir aIle hinankommen zu einerlei Glauben und
Erkenntnis des Sohnes Gottes und ein vollkommener
Mann werden, der da sei im Masse des vollkommenen
Alters Christi." Unter jeder anderen Ordnung, die von
dieser gottlichen abweicht und daher als menschliche
bezeichnet werden muss, kann die Kirche Jesu, die
Gemeinde del' Erstgeborenen und Erwahlten odeI' die
Braut J esu Christi niemals zu dem ftir die Endzeit not-
wendigen hohen Stand der Vollendung geftihrt werden.
Daher versammeln sich die Mitglieder del' Neuapos-
tolischen Kirche in regelmassigen Gottesdiensten unter
stetem Aufblick zu ihrem grossen Gott und Vater und
seinem Sohne Jesus Christus, ihrem Haupt und Selig-
macher, damit sie un tel' del' Wirkung des Heiligen
Geistes durch das wieder gegebene Apostelamt in das
Bild Jesu ausgestaltet (Romer 8,29; 2. Korinther 3,18)
und dereinst ihrem Brautigam Jesu als reine und unbe-
fleckte Jungfrau zugeftihrt werden konnen (2. Kor-
inther 11,2). Dabei bleiben sie, wie einst ihre Bruder in
del' Urkirche, bestandig in del' Apostel Lehre, in del'

Gemeinschaft, im Brotbrechen und im Gebet (Apostel-
geschichte 2,42) und sind wie jene als Glieder des einen
Leibes Jesu und als Versiegelte mit dem einen Heiligen
Geiste Gottes ein Herz und eine Seele (Apostelge-
schichte 4,32) in einem Glauben,einer Liebe und einer
Hoffnung (Epheser 4,3-6).
Dabei sind sie sich in der heutigen Zeit, in der die
Gerichte Gottes nach den Weissagungen und Verheis-
sungen der Schrift immer mehr hereinbrechen, ihres
ihnen vom Herrn gegebenen Auftrages bewusst, ihren
:Ylitmenschen das Zeugnis von der erfahrenen Gnaden-
heimsuchung zu bringen und sie zu dem vom Herrn
zeitgemass bereiteten Gnadenwerke einzuladen (Lukas
14,"21-23). Sie konnen aus tiefster Erfahrung darauf
hinweisen, dass all die Gnadengiiter, Geistesgaben und
Gnadensegnungen, wie sie der Herr der Kirche am
Anfang gab, auch heute wieder in reichstem Masse in
der Neuapostolischen Kirche angeboten werden und zu
empfangen sind. Jeder aber, der mit Herzenssehnsucht
und Verlangen nach jener entschwundenen Zeit der
"ersten Pfingsten", der "ersten Liebe", der "ersten
Kirche" zurlickschaute und sie in still em Bitten und
Seufzen wieder herbeiwiinschte, kann, wenn er die
urspriinglichen Gnadengiiter in der N euapostolischen
Kirche erlangt hat, in Wahrheit bezeugen, dass der
Herr seinen verheissenen Spatregen in der Mitteilung
des Heiligen Geistes (der heiligen Versiegelung) durch
die Handauflegung der Apostel auf die Menschen
ausgiesst.
In den Gattesdiensten, die sich wie in der Urkirche
einfach, aber in der Kraft de-s Heiligen Geistes und die
Seelen erbauend, sUirkend, grlindend und festigend
gestalten, fliessen die himmlischen Segnungen durch
ungeklinstelte Predigten (dem alten "torichten" "Vort
von dem gekreuzigten, auferstandenen und wiederkom-
menden Christus, 1. Korinther 2) und durch die
Spendung der Sakramente in die Herzen der GIaubigen
und Geheiligten. 1m Mittelpunkte der sonntaglichen
Gottesdienste und der Anbetung des Herrn steht in
gleicher Weise wie in der ersten Zeit der Kirche die
Feier des heiligen Abendmahls.
Aile Segnungen werden, auch wenn sie ausserhalb des
Gottesdienstes gespendet werden, nach dem 'Willen
un seres Heilandes Jesus Christus (Matthiins 10,8)
unentgeltlich gereicht. Daselbe gilt von allen kirchlich-
en Handlungen oder schriftlichen Zeugnissen; denn
sowahl die Apostel als auch die ihnen zugeteilten
Hilfsamter wissen, dass es allein der Herr ist, der sie
dereinst in der Auferstehung der Gerechten fUr ihr
mlihevolles, aber seliges Tun belohnen wird. Sie suchen
daher keinen irdischen Lohn, sondern sie dienen, soweit
sie nicht ihre ganze Zeit notgedrungen der Arbeit im
Werke des Herrn zur Verfiigung stellen miissen, ohne
Verglitung. Die Mittel zur Bestreitung aller Kosten
werden durch freiwillige Gaben aufgebracht, und der
Herr wird nicht unbelohnt lassen, was man fUr die Sache
seines Reiches Gutes getan hat.

ORGANISATION
Samtliche Neuapostolische Gemeinden des In- und
Auslandes bilden ein geschlossenes Ganze, die Neu-
apostolische Kirche. Sie ist in verschiedene A~?stel-
bezirke eingeteilt, die wiederum in Bischofs-und Altes-
tenbezirke gegliedert sind. Die Leitung del' Kirche liegt
in den Handen des Hauptleiters (Stammapostels), del'
die oberste Autoritat in allen kirchlichen Angelegen-
heiten ist. Del' Bezirksapostel bestellt in Ubereinstim-
mung mit dem Hauptleiter, (Stammapostel) die
Religionsdiener in dem ihm anvertrauten Bezirke, die er
auch-wiederum in Ubereinstimmung mit dem Stamm-
apostel - wenn dies notig erscheint, ihres Amtes
entheben und durch Nachfolger ersetzen kann.
Einem Apostelbezirk steht del' Bezirksapostel VOl',
dem samtliche Gemeinden des Bezirks und die Gemein-
devorsteher und sonstigen Religionsdiener unterstehen.
Del' Bischofsbezirk wird yon einem Bischof geleitet, del'
im Auftrage des Apostels dartiber zu wachen hat, dass
die Gemeinden und die Religionsdiener in del' Lehre del'
Apostel bleiben und darin gepflegt werden. Als Aufse-
her tiber die ihm anvertrauten Gemeinden und Amts-
trager ist er die erste Hilfe und Sttitze des Apostels,.¢em
gegentiber er die volle Verantwortlichkeit tra.gt. Uber
einen Altestenbezirk, del' innerhalb eines B1Schofsbe-
zirkes gelegen oder, wenn ein solcher nicht vor?anden

unter Aufsicht des Bischofs oder des Bezirksapostels

und ist diesen verantwortlich.
Zur Leitung einer Gemeinde wird yon dem Bezil'ks-
apostel ein Vorsteher bestellt.
3.
ERWERB UND VERLUST DER MITGLIEDSCHAFT
Mitglied del' Kirche kann jede mannliche und weib-
liche Person werden, die gelobt hat, dem Glaubensbe-
kenntnis, del' N euapostolischen Lehre und in Uberein-
stimmung mit den Lehren del' Heiligen Schrift zu leben,
femer den Anordnungen del' Kirchenleitung Folge zu
leisten.
Die Erlangung del' Mitgliedschaft zerfallt in zwei
Abschni tte:
1. Die Aufnahme.
Die Aufnahme berechtigt zur Teilnahme an den
Segnungen del' Kirche, besonders an del' sonntaglichen
Feier des heiligen Abendmahls. Anmeldungen zur
Aufnahme sind mtindlich oder schl'iftlich an den
Vorsteher del' Gemeinde zu richten, del' zu prtifen hat,
ob del' Antragsteller mindestens ein Vierteljahr l'egel-
massig die Gottesdienste in einer Gemeinde besucht und
die erforderliche Erkenntnis von del' N euapostolischen
Lehre erlangt hat. Wird del' Antrag angenommen, so
wird dem Antragsteller ein Exemplar diesel' Hausregel
tiberreicht. VOl' del' Aufnahme werden dann noch von
dem Vorsteher oder seinem Beauftragten die Pel'sonalien
des Aufzunehmenden ftir die spatere Eintragung in das
Kirchenbuch aufgenommen.

 Die Aufnahme selbst erfolgt in del' Regel durch
einen Bezirksvorsteher in einem Gottesdienste.
2. Die Versiegelung:
Die endgtiltige lVIitgliedschaft zur Kirche wird aber
erst durch die heilige Versiegelung erlangt.
Hat jemand nach erfolgter Aufnahme bewiesen dass
er sich del' lVIitgliedschaft del' Kirche wtirdig er~eist,
und stehen keine sonstigen Bedenken im Wege, so kann
die Zulassung zur heiligen Versiegelung erteilt werden.
VOl' del' Versiegelung ist del' Personalbogen zu unter-
schreiben, del' als ordnungsgemasses Aufnahmegesuch
gilt. Ftir Kinder, die das 14. Lebensjahr noch nicht
tiberschritten haben, unterschreibt del' gesetzliche
Vertreter.
Die Versiegelung kann nur durch einen Apostel
ausgeftihrt werden.
Es ist eine selbstverstandliche Ptlicht alIer lVIit-
gliedel', dass sie ein gottesftirchtiges Leben und einen
ehrbaren Wandel ftihren, damit das Ansehen del' Kil'che
Christi nicht in den Augen del' lVIitmenschen hel'abge-
wtirdigt wil'd.
Die Mitglieder sind jederzeit zum Austritt berechtigt.
Dies geschieht durch schriftliche Erklarung beim
Vol'steher del' Gemeinde.
1m tibrigen erlischt die Mitgliedschaft:
a) durch den Tod,
b) durch Ausschliessung.

Letztere erfolgt schriftlich durch den Bezirksapostel.
Ais Ausschliessungsgrund gelten ein unordentlicher
Lebenswandel, unbegrtindetes Fernbleiben yon den
Gottesdiensten, vorsatzliche und beharrliche Zuwider-
handlungen gegen den Zweck del' Kirche, sowie gegen
die Bestimmungen del' Kirchenleitung.
4.
BESCHWERDEN DER MITGLIEDER
TIBER AMTSTRAGER
SoUte das Verhalten eines Amtstragers del' Lehre,
del' Satzung und dem Glaubensbekenntnis del' Neu-
apostolischen Kirche zuwiderlaufen, so steht den Mit-
gliedern das Recht zu, dies dem Bezirksapostel mit-
zuteilen.
5.
BEICHTEN
SoUte sich jemand trotz del' empfangenen Gnade tiber
begangene schwere Fehler beunruhigt ftihlen, so hat del'
Betreffende das Recht, sich mtindlich oder schriftlich
an seinen Apostel zu wenden, aber niemals an einen
anderen Amtstdiger, Del' Apostel ist als Gesandter des
Herrn zur stl'engsten Verschwiegenheit tiber die ihm
anvertrauten Beichten verptlichtet.
Personen, die mit ihrem Apostel bis zum 4. Glied
verwandt sind, dtirfen sich zwecks Ablegung einer
Beichte an del1 jeweiligen Stammapostel wenden.

GESCHAFTSFTIHRUNG
Yon den freiwilligen Liebesgaben der Mitglieder,

welche in die im Kirchensaal befindlichen Opferkasten
gelegt werden, sind samtliche Ausgaben zu bestreiten
und zwar: die Kosten ftir die Erstellung von Kapellen
und ihre Einrichtung, die Herrichtung und die Mieten
del' Kirchenlokale, die Kosten ftir Licht und Heizung,
Missionsuntersttitzungen, Beitrage zu Werken del'
allgemeinen offentlichen Wohlfahrt und Wohltatigkeit,
die Untersttitzungen flir notleidende Gemeinden, Reise-
spesen, Postgebtihren, Abendmahlswein und Hostien,
Untersttitzungen an Bedtirftige, del' Lebensunterhalt
derjenigen Amtsdiener, die urn des Werkes willen ihren
frtiheren Beruf aufgeben mussten, sowie sonstige mit
del' Kirchenftihrung verbundene Unkosten.
Von seiten del' Amtsbrtider dtirfen an die Mitglieder
del' Kirche keine finanziellen Ansprtiche gestellt
werden.
Wegen etwaiger, del' Kirche zugedachten Vermacht-
nisse wende man sich betr. Regelung an den zu-
standigen Bezirksapostel.
Die Gemeinde- und Bezirksvorsteher haben jeden
Monat dem Bezirksapostel Rechnung zu legen und
etwaige Uberschtisse an die von ihm bestimmte Kassen-
stelle abzuftihren. Del' Bezirksapostel hat monatlich
dem Stammapostel tiber seine Einnahmen und Aus-
gaben Abrechnung vorzulegen und die vorhandenen
Kassen - und Vermogensbestande gewissenhaft zu
verwalten;ausserdem hat erviertel-jahrlich demStamm-
apostel eine Vermogensaufstellung einzusenden und
zum Schlusse des Jahres eine durch einen Bticherrevisor
geprtifte Bilanz.
DAS
NEUAPOSTOLISCHE GLAUBENSBEKENNTNIS
1. Ich glaube an Gott den Vater, den allmachtigen
SchOpfer Himmels und del' Erden.
2. Ich glaube an Jesus Christus, Gottes eingeborenen
Sohn, unsern Herrn, del' empfangen ist von dem
Heiligen Geiste, geboren von del' Jungfrau Maria,
gelitten unter Pontius Pilatus, gekreuzigt, gestorben
und begraben, niedergefahren zur Holle, auferstanden
von den Toten, aufgefahren gen Himmel, sitzend zur
rechten Hand Gottes, des allmachtigen Vaters, von
dannen er wiederkommen wird, zu richten die Lebendi-
gen ~nd die Toten.
3. Ich glaube an den Heiligen Geist, eine heilige
apostolische Kirche, die Gemeinde del' Heiligen, Verge-
bung del' Stinden, Auferstehung del' Toten und ein
ewiges Leben.
4. Ich glaube, dass del' Herr Jesus seine Kirche durch
lebende Apostel regiert bis zu seinem Wiederkommen,
und dass er seine Apostel gesandt hat und noch sendet,
gleichwie er vom Vater in die Welt gesandt ist, damit sie
in seinem Namen und Auftrage aIle Volker del' Erde
lehren und taufen sollen.
5. Ich glaube, dass samtliche .Amter in del' Kirche
Christi von lebenden Apostel erwahlt und eingesetzt

 werden, und dass aus dem Apostelamte Christi samt- herrschen solIen, und endlich, dass Jesus Christus am

8. Ich glaube, dass die getauften Glaubigen durch
Handauflegung eines lebenden Apostels zur Erlangung
der Erstlingsschaft mit dem Heiligen Geiste versiegelt
werden mussen, und dass durch die Versiegelung die
empfangenen Gaben lebendig gemacht werden.
9. Ich glaube, dass der Herr Jesus so gewiss wieder-
kommen wird, wie er gen Himmel gefahren ist, und dass
bei seinem glorreichen Erscheinen die Erstlinge aus den
Toten und Lebenden, die auf sein Kommen gehofft
haben und zubereitet worden sind, verwandelt und mit
ihm vereinigt werden, auch dass diese seine Erstlinge
mit ihm als Konige und Priester im Reiche des Friedens
