Few concepts in the world today are misunderstood as terribly as
religious concepts. It is interesting that many people who look with
distain upon previous generations due to their so-called misguided
religious beliefs are, in fact, holding within their
own mind many erroneous and incongruent
religious concepts which they pay absolutely no
attention to. So it is with the mystery of Christ.
What is a mystery anyway? It is, grammatically
speaking, something that is covered by the mist.
From this point of view, it is very poignant to
symbolically portray a mystery as something hidden
by clouds, such as the many artistic depictions of
Jesus or Jehovah produced throughout the
centuries. These painting are beautiful, they inspire
us, they touch our heart in a way that no amount
of book learning or memorization of religious or
philosophical concepts could ever do. In other
words, they are religious. Religion means to rebind
ones essence to the true nature of reality.
Obviously, few people have any idea of what
real religion is supposed to be. Until we achieve
religion, then indeed there will be many mysteries
within it. But, understand that the actual mist or
haze that veils everything is not something outside,
but rather something within us, something which could be
summarized as the quality of our mind.
When our mind is hazy, the events of life transform into many
problems. Normally, any John Doe has a life full problems, and
likewise, a mind full of confusion. Furthermore, there is a lack of
skills within him to accurately assess his situation, and he therefore
miscalculates the origin of his problems to be factors that exist outside
of his own state of consciousness. In other words, he blames other
people, the world, or God himself. He complains
about other people. He repeats himself and never can
go beyond the same problems.
Firstly, we have to recognize that we have a
psychology. Then we will understand that we are who
we are, and do what we do, based upon an immeasur-
able number of minute factors which culminate into
that thing called me. It culminates into an entity
that responds to a name and which has a sense of
self, which seems to exist, paradoxically, as a whole,
integral, and concrete thing.
Do you see the paradox? The person, me, never
seems to grasp within the moments of its action, that
its own action is actually based upon an incalculable
interdependent matrix of factors which defy any
possible description. And yet, we tend to hold a
concept that I am me, and I will always be me. This
is a lie, whether we know it or not. In reality, that
thing called me is actually more like hundred story
building with thousands of people within it: some
who are leaving, others who are entering, some who
are growing old, and other who are growing up, some who are friends
with others, and the others who are enemies. And it does not matter
if our physical body is awake or asleep, in a coma or dead, the some
psychological building remains to exist and to constantly change.
2
Can you imagine this for a moment? Can you imagine all of them
interacting with each other, and the countless relationships between
them all? Can you imagine all of the conversations going on at once?
Our psychology is very much like this, except much more complex.
Within our self are many selves. This is why we contradict our own
self. This is why with have conflict within our self.
It is in this way that our mind is a mystery to our own self. At
first glance such statements may appear to be false, yet, it is
indubitable that with further analysis, the truth becomes self evident.
The main problem is, as we have stated earlier, no one today
has equipped the mind of man with the tools to self-
discover the nature of his own self, which in turn allows
him to live with very ignorant views of his own self. Even
though the same problems haunt his days and nights, it is
because of his self-ignorance that he does not even
remotely suspect what must change in his life in order to
relieve his aching heart and tormented mind. He believes
that something must change, but the object at which he points
towards is always the wrong thing, because he is very superficial with
his analysis.
What we normally call man and woman is really quite a
stretch of the term, because a real man or woman is someone who has
an equilibrated and awakened psychology. That quality of person is
extraordinarily uncommon to find. What we find instead are beasts
with intellect, or what perhaps is more pleasantly termed as
intellectual animals. If the world was full of real men and women,
then war would be impossible, adultery, and murder would be
unimaginable. These are crimes against humanity, which is enough
evidence to declare that humanity is not really what this world
possesses. It is something else, something that is below humanity.
A culture is something that is cultivated, something that is taken
care of, something that is grown. Any scientist that grows a culture in
the lab does so with a determined purpose. Every individual, every
world, every humanity has a purpose. Christ is like a scientist in this
regard, because that which is called Christ has placed all of the cosmic
spheres into order so that the individuals within it can create a new
order within themselves. Yes, we, who are endowed with a mind of
reasoning, and a body capable to comprehend the nature of
reality, have to transform the Choas into Cosmos (order).
This is what Christ is interested in.
Christ is a word which means anointed one, from the
Greek chrestos. Let us understand that Christ is not a
noun, but a Verb. It is like energy, like movement, like
fire, like light. It is the Logos, the Word. Christ is not a
person, or a God, because Christ is beyond God. Christ has
no form, which means, Christ can exist within any form.
Any individual can be the Host of Christ, but it is necessary for
the host to be suitable. If a king is to rule effectively, he must have
order, he must have a throne upon which he can officiate. No king
could bring happiness to his kingdom if he did not have the proper
requisites to do so. Would the true King rule from a brothel, or a den
of thieves? Such things would be absurd, and useless. Besides, if the
power which is Christ attempted to come into an ordinary person,
that person would be annihilated much like a fuse that explodes upon
receiving too much electrical current.
We must understand that one thing is Jesus, and another thing is
Christ. Jesus made order from disorder, he prepared his throne and
3
received the Sephirothic Crown, the Crown of Life mentioned in
the Book of Revelation. The Sephirothic Crown is the Kabbalistic
term for Christ.
Any individual can receive the Sephirothic Crown. The Sephi-
rothic Crown contains three jewels. These jewels, like all religious
descriptions, are symbols of abstract truths, which in this case
represent the root factors of all existence, which
are the Affirming, Denying and Reconciling.
Everything that exists, exists due to these
fundamental principles.
In greek, Christ is Chrestos (), which
is spelled with the letter chi (, rhymes with eye)
and rho (). This is why many times Christ is
represented with a P and an X intersecting. Rho
has its origins in the Egyptian hieroglyph of RA,
which is the Solar God, the God of Fire. The X
of course, is the Cross of Birth, the Cross of
Death, and the Cross of Life, which in reality is
all the same cross. So, esoterically speaking,
Christ is Fire, spiritual fire, and Christ has
everything to do with The Cross.
Christ works through The Cross. It is
through the crossing of the Affirming, Denying,
and Reconciling that everything is born, exists, and dies. The birth of
a child is the result of a man, a woman, and the sexual act (the cross
of man and woman). The fire of Christ exists in the very sexual act
itself. A system of worlds exists due to reconciliation of gravity and
inertia, the crossing of the centripetal and centrifugal forces, to
produce an orbit, and every system of worlds orbits around the
central luminary, the Fire, the Sun, which is RA, the Egyptian
principle of Fire. The cross is in everything. Thus, Christ is in
everything that is created, and nothing that is created could be
created without Christ.
Christ means anointed one but what does Christ have to do
with anointing? Anointing is done with oil, the chrism. In Hebrew,
oil is spelled with three letters, shin, mem, and
nun (), which phonetically looks like
shemen but is pronounced semen. Yes, that
type of semen, but this semen can be understood
as the sexual energy in all its forms, in both man
and woman. Christ is within the sexual energy.
The sexual energy is absolutely Christic and has
the capacity to bring enlightenment to our soul.
But that requires certain sacrifices on the Cross.
Those who have read the book of Zechariah
can recall that that there is a description of a
candelabra with seven pipes, and each pipe
carried oil to the top of it. I recommend that you
read this book after knowing the symbolism. The
meaning of this symbol is very simple if you
know the keys. The Seven Pipes are the seven
principles of the spirit, and the oil is the semen
which goes up to the top and provides the fire
and light. This seven piped candelabra is the Jewish menorah.
Biologically speaking, the menorah is the spinal column because
there are seven main paths of nourishment the spinal column
provides for the body, mind and spirit. If we sacrifice our animalistic
sexual desires, the sexual energy instead of going out of the organism,
4
stays within, and, if proper care is taken, the sexual energy is refined
much like crude oil is refined into kerosene or gasoline. This is called
transmutation of sexual energy. Then, and only then, are the
seven holy pipes filled with the sacred oil and light and fire
come out of the menorah. Here is the secret: super volatile
sexual energy is spiritual energy. They are the exact same
thing.
Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened
me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to
me, What do you see?
So I said, I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid
gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps
with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it,
one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.
Zechariah 4:1-3
Then I answered and said to him, What are these two olive
treesat the right of the lampstand and at its left?
And I further answered and said to him, What are these two
olive branches that drip into the receptacles

of the two gold
pipes from which the golden oil drains?
Then he answered me and said, Do you not know what
these are? And I said, No, my lord.
So he said, These are the two anointed ones, who stand
beside the Lord of the whole earth. Zechariah 4:11-14
From the physical point of view, the result is found
principally in the brain. This is the way the Fire of Christ
can illuminate us. This is the reality of the Halo of Saints,
the Horns of Moses, and the Tongues of Fire that appear of
the Apostles in the Book of Acts. All of these are symbols of
the light of Christ illuminating the minds of the saints and prophets.
Let us now be able to understand the Bible when it says At all times,
let your garments be white, and let oil [ shemen] not be lacking
on your head [ ro'sh] (Ecclesiastes 9). They that [were] foolish
took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil
(transformed sexual energy) in their vessels (bodies) with their
lamps (minds). (Matthew 25). So now we can understand
that to become a host of Christ, one becomes anointed by
the fire of Christ.
What is more significant is that the foundation of that
fire is not something outside of you, and it is not
something that comes by believing in a personality of
someone else. It does not matter how much you say you
believe in Christ, or Jesus, if you do not do what is said in
the scriptures. Unfortunately, if we do not understand the
meaning of the scriptures, how can we follow them?
The religious forms have failed humanity partly be-
cause the authorities have failed to grasp where the power
and strength of their doctrine lies. They repeat platitudes
towards God, saying He is great, and that we need to be
kind and compassionate and follow the Commandments.
This has been going on for millennia, yet humanity is still
ignorant, filled with venomous hatred, attached to the most
ephemeral and transitory things, and because of this, it
suffers the indescribable. The real meat of Christianity,
which is entails a very profound, radical psychological
transformation, has been thrown away, and replaced with a
series of rules and insubstantial practices that do not
require one to stop being hypocritical. Many people leave
their religion because of this; these people at least admit
they would be hypocrites to continue going to Church. By this
admission, some of them are closer to God than the hypocrites who
5
ignore their own hypocrisy but more often than not, these types
just like to live without an authority constantly condemning the
things that they enjoy doing.
So in reality there is no difference: one type admits they like the
things they like, and the other pretends they are holy and worthy of
Gods grace, but what counts is not belief, but daily action, and in
this area they are basically indistinguishable. Belief is easy, and this is
why the verses regarding belief are always repeated, and whole sects
are based upon these verses, but the Bible when studied integrally
from beginning to end, it shows that much more is needed than
simple beliefs. The Bible was written in code to protect it from the
profaners, but now it is time to reveal the keys to unlock the ciphers.
The narratives of the Doctrine are its cloak. The simple look only at
the garment - that is, upon the narrative of the Doctrine; more they
know not. The instructed, however, see not merely the cloak, but
what the cloak covers. The Zohar, iii.
The Mysteries of the Faith (are) not to be divulged to all [...] It is
requisite to hide in a mystery the wisdom spoken. St. Clement of
Alexandra, Stromateis
People believe in God like they believe in a sports team, which is
absurd. God does not need clientele in order to exist or to be
powerful or to be happy those are all very infantile ideas which, if
they are brought to fruition within the minds of those who hold
them, become self-evidently ridiculous. Nevertheless, because people
have been told to believe for so long now, they think it is absurd to
not believe. Well, this is the unfortunate truth for the believers: what
matters is not if you believe in God, but rather if you are experiencing
God in greater and greater degrees. We need to know God, not
believe in him. But this requires greater and greater sacrifices.
Such sacrifices are great, but the reward is clarity of mind and a
peaceful heart, which is exactly what every person on this planet
wants, knowingly or not. Everything in the universe has a cause, and
being illuminated by Christ has its specific causes and conditions. If
you satisfy them, then the result is natural. But, yes, it is necessary to
sacrifice desire. You have to awaken your consciousness! When you
awaken, your soul with be nourished with the super-substantial
bread.
Do not love (psychological) sleep, lest you come to (psychological)
poverty; Open your eyes (of insight), and you will be satisfied with
bread (of wisdom). Proverbs 20:13
No one wants to awaken, because this would mean that we have
to remove all the characters dwelling within our psychological
building mentioned earlier. All the different selves within the self
must be removed. Each one of them are different desires. Our entire
identity is based upon mundane and extravagant desires. From the
desire to have children, to be well educated, to be respected or be
thought of as cool, interesting, happy, or successful or just to get
drunk and have fun, to dace, to have a nice car, to acquire an
extensive collection of LPs or perhaps vintage wine or plastic
figurines There are too many forms of desire to list. Our mind is
confused because there is no continuity of consciousness within it; it
is always fractured into many different conflicting desires which are
expressed through the various calamities we produce every day.
For example, one might hate their mother, and fear her, and feel
sympathy for her all at once. This is evidence that our own mind is
under control of many different factors simultaneously. This type of
situation happens constantly, moment by moment, within our mind,
yet it is very rare that we are aware of what is going on in our mind,
because we are psychologically asleep. The vast majority of our desires
6
are unconscious, and this is why we are unable to see what is really
causing our problems.
These desires are based upon illusory things, things that seem
real, but when analyzed further, are not. Everything that we hold dear
about our self is very ephemeral: it will go away. Every part of the self
that is based upon things of this world will go away. Few take the
time to realize this. With death, it is guaranteed that it will all go
away. So what remains?
When one sacrifices, they are preemptively removing everything
that is temporal and illusory within their mind. By
doing so, they are cultivating something, a quality of
mind, which transcends time and is truly eternal.
This is how we replace our false identity which
causes all our suffering, with something else that
does not have any relationship with me, myself,
or I. By cultivating something that has a direct
relationship with the true nature of reality, a
harmonious relationship with the true nature of
reality is the result. This result is called happiness.
But this is real happiness and love, not the garbage
that is shown on television or in greeting cards.
We suffer, we have problems, because the fundamental assump-
tions we make about our life and our self is totally at odds with
reality. When we comprehend the true nature of reality, we work very
intensely to remove everything that is false. But understand that it is
impossible to sacrifice correctly without a profound comprehension
in the mind.
We are not talking about repression here. Repression of desires
retards the mind because it drives desires further into the uncons-
ciousness. This invokes deeper states of sleeping consciousness. Then
what can one do with desire? People say we must express it then. But
they are misguided, because the expression of desire will only
strengthen it, just like putting fuel on a fire.
Comprehension is the action which is beyond the mechanical
expression or the mechanical repression of desire. Comprehension is
the action which provides the elimination of desire. We need to
comprehend every nook, every level, every single thing within our
self. This is what the mind is for: to discern different phenomena of
nature. True religion wants to use the mind for
something more than watching television or
making money. We do this through various forms
of meditation. Every religion in their pristine form
teaches meditation. Meditation is the way to
comprehend our false nature and how it causes our
daily suffering. This is the only way to remove our
hypocritical nature! In the Bible, our hypocritical
nature is represented by the Pharisees.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For
ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the
platter, but within you are full of extortion and
excess. - Matthew 23:25
Christ is the true nature of reality. Christmas comes from Christ-
Mass, the christic ritual. A ritual is a symbolic representation of a
greater, abstract truth. December 25
th
has been a very sacred date
since the beginning of time because it represents the Winter Solstice.
This is why the Druids and the followers of Mithra celebrated the
Solar Divinity on December 25
th
. Christ itself is something universal,
and it exists under different forms and different names in all the
worlds religions.
7
The teachings of the Zend Avesta are in accordance with the
doctrinal principles contained in the Egyptian book of the dead, and
contain the Christ-principle. The Illiad of Homer, the Hebrew Bible,
the Germanic Edda and the Sibylline Books of the Romans contain
the same Christ-principle. All these are sufficient in order to demon-
strate that Christ is anterior to Jesus of Nazareth. Christ is not one
individual alone. Christ is a cosmic principle that we must assimilate
within our own physical, psychic, somatic and spiritual nature []
Among the Persians, Christ is Ormuz, Ahura Mazda, terrible enemy
of Ahriman (Satan), which we carry within us. Amongst the Hindus,
Krishna is Christ; thus, the gospel of Krishna is very similar to that
of Jesus of Nazareth. Among the Egyptians, Christ is Osiris and
whosoever incarnated him was in fact an Osirified One. Amongst
the Chinese, the Cosmic Christ is Fu Hi, who composed the I-Ching
(The Book of Laws) and who nominated Dragon Ministers. Among
the Greeks, Christ is called Zeus, Jupiter, the Father of the Gods.
Among the Aztecs, Christ is Quetzalcoatl, the Mexican Christ. In
the Germanic Edda, Baldur is the Christ who was assassinated by
Hodur, God of War, with an arrow made from a twig of mistletoe,
etc. In like manner, we can cite the Cosmic Christ within thousands
of ancient texts and old traditions which hail from millions of years
before Jesus. The whole of this invites us to embrace that Christ is a
cosmic principle contained within the essential principles of all
religions. Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony
With Christmas, we celebrate the birth of a child in a crowded
manger. Most people are content with believing this happened
twenty centuries ago, others some feel it is a silly story that was most
likely made up. Both of these views miss the point, because Christmas
is something that occurs here and now. Nothing important about
religion is related with history. Everything that is important about
religion is what is transpiring right now within your own conscious-
ness.
By understanding this tremendous fact we can get to the real
point of Christmas, which is a didactic parable to help us understand
the process in which man unites with God. This is what Jesus wanted
to teach, and he taught by living his life in a way that mirrored the
inner drama of religion and those parts of his literal life which did
not mirror the inner drama of religion where intentionally modified
by those who understood the doctrine, so that the teachings were
interwoven with the story. Thus it is with the story of the birth of
Jesus. The literal Jesus was not literally born as the Bible says, because
the Bible is not a history book, the Bible is a book to teach us the
mysteries of religion. What is in the Bible is not the story of the literal
Jesus, but the mythological Jesus, the archetype of the Man-God that
any individual can and must emulate.
Bethlehem, the place of Jesus birth, means house of bread in
Hebrew, house of meat in Arabic, and tower of fire in Chaldean.
This fire is the fire of Christ. In Hebrew, shin () represents fire. It
looks like a candelabra with three wicks on fire, these are three fires of
the Trinity. When we take Jehovah, or Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei () in
Hebrew, and place a shin in the middle we get , or Yeshua,
which means savior and is Romanized as Jesus. So, the birth of
Jesus is related with a spiritual fire. The whole mystery of Christianity
is related with returning the Fire. Jehovah places the Fire within man,
and if man is able to work with that Fire correctly, it is returned and
the inner Savior is the result.
This spiritual fire ironically begins in a very animalistic place.
This is why Jesus is born in the manger. Our psychological state of
mind is very passionate, and among its multitudinous forms are many
sexual desires that wish to brutally fornicate like animals. That Fire
must start somewhere, and this is this the only place it can start.
Christ is the King of Kings, so the King Herod however wants no
part of that, he wants to kill every child before one can grow to take
8
away his power. Herod is every one of us. Herod is the animal mind
itself. Herod is the King of this humanity. Herod is the King of our
actions, our thoughts, and our words. He kills many
children, many aspirants of the Wisdom. Immediately
after the Christ child is born, the henchmen of Herod
attempt to kill the child. The henchmen of Herod are
things like subjective intellectual reasoning, fear, sensual
desires, etc. Herod says, What will my friends think if I
change my behavior? or God made me this way, I was born
this way, therefore this who I really am and to change that
would be wrong. Few of the children ever have a chance
to grow before they are murdered by the decrees of
Herod.
When the Christ child does begin to grow, he grows
within the tower of fire, that is Bethlehem. This tower is
the same thing as the Throne of God. A throne is a
common religious symbol, but with our biology the
throne of God is our central nervous system, and in
particular our spinal cord and brain. The spinal
cord begins at the sex, passes through the chest
(heart) to end at the brain. Everything about our
actions, feelings, and thoughts are related with the
spinal cord. The spinal cord must become the
Tower of Fire through the Fire of Christ.
In the beginning this fire is related with sexual
desire and subjective reasoning, but through the
Drama of the Christ, it transforms into sexual strength and
enlightened intuition. In other words, the Fire is transformed into the
Light. Again, this light is the Halo of the saints (which is depicted not
only in the iconography of Christianity, but in many other religions
as well), the tongues of fire above the heads of the Apostles in the
Book of Acts. Devi Kundalini is the same fire.
When this is happening, the Lord has the capacity to
come down and bestow gifts to Gods Children. This is
the true nature of Santa Claus, which is a symbol that
has been very, very adulterated. Santa Claus is related
with the Germanic God named Odin, which would
descend down the chimney. This chimney is the spinal
cord, and gifts are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, the
supernatural powers of the soul.
Understand that within our own nature is the Seed
of Christ, which exists as a fluidic-magnetic energy that
in its coarsest form is sexual energy. Through the
retention and sublimation (transformation) of
this energy, it begins to rise. This, in turn gives
the capacity to receive God from above. So this
how man reunites with God. This is why those
who are interested in religion must keep guard of
their sexual nature. Any Priest must be perfectly
chaste in thought, word, and deed. If not, then
he cannot be effective. His word will lack power.
His sermons will not inspire. His Eucharistic
function will be useless. The Priest is responsible
for taking the Christic forces from above and
placing them in the bread and wine, but if the
Priest does not know how preserve his own oil, and to make the
Fire into Light, then Christ from above cannot come into the host.
The fact that the Church has been rocked with sexual scandal proves
9
that they know nothing about these matters. The Church has
forgotten how to work with the sexual energy.
Three Magi, or Kings, visit the Christ child. Magi means Priest.
There is a Black King, a White King, and a Yellow King. These three
Kings represent different stages of Christification, but all of them
follow the Star of Bethlehem in order to reach
Christ.
The Star of Bethlehem represents the
interior spiritual star, which is the root of our
existence. To always be guided by the light of
this star is to always remember our inner Being,
our true nature. We have to become conscious
of our own self. We have to place attention on
our own experience in a continuous fashion. If
we are not being conscious, then we are being
asleep. Sleep leads to ignorance, and ignorance
leads to suffering.
Physical sleep is one thing, psychological
sleep is another. Psychological sleep is a state of
the psyche, or soul. Normally, we are born
asleep, grow old asleep, and die asleep. Thus,
because of this, we fail to accomplish the
superior potential that lies dormant within our
consciousness. A man or woman who has their
consciousness awakened even a bit can become a paladin for great
humanitarian efforts. This is why meditation is so important: a
routine of meditation is the best foundation for the expansion and
strengthening of conscious attention. The ones who achieves the full
development of the consciousness are the ones who become authentic
Prophets.
The first king, the Black King, represents the earlier stages, where
the desires of the soul are still very much alive. One can be very holy,
very pure, in comparison to the average person, and still be full of
vice in comparison to Christ. Christ is a
perfect-multiple unity. Those who incarnate
Christ have no I.
The second king is White, because he has
already removed his ego, his self-willed
psychological aspects. This is a supreme level
of psychological death. Psychological death is
to die within ones self. When the self is out of
the way, the bliss of the direct perception of
the true nature of reality is able to be received
and comprehended. With death, Christ kills
death, and what remains is immortal.
The third type, the Yellow King, is made
of pure gold. Gold is a spiritual substance
related with the Sun. The Yellow King is wiser
than the White King, thus the atoms of Christ
shine more brilliantly in the Yellow King. The
Yellow King is the one who has died and
resurrected within all the levels of their Being.
There are levels and levels of mastery. Only the Yellow King is
the Resurrected King. But among the Resurrected, there more levels.
There are some who have assimilated the order (cosmos) and
knowledge of an entire Solar System. Thus, they have dominion of a
10
Solar System. Others have dominion of the galaxy, and still others
who have dominion over the Infinite.
Just as planets are groups of matter, solar systems are groups of
planets, and galaxies are groups of solar systems. An Infinite is a
group of galaxies. There exists Masters who have the
wisdom of an Infinite. Beyond one Infinite lies
another Infinite. They are called as such because
nominal causality is restricted to the curvature of the
Infinite it originated within. Every cause has an
effect, but it is limited to the Infinite it was created
in.
The origin of Christ, however, is beyond the
Infinite. The origin is called the Ain Soph in
Kabbalistic terms, which is the Absolute. Only a
Master who has dominion over many Infinites has
the right to ascend into the Ain Soph. This is called
a Paramarthasatya. Jesus is a Paramarthasatya. The
only cause which can transcend the Infinites is one
who has dominion over multiple Infinites, which is the Paramartha-
satya (vehicle of perfect cognizance).
Before any level of Christ can be born within, one has to become
a real human, which is someone who has psychological equilibrium.
That is quite an exception today. People are angry, jealous, lustful,
greedy, lazy and gluttonous, and many admit and even like being this
way. Often they feel as if these qualities make life interesting and
without them life would be unbearable. A million rationales are used
to keep our self alive, to not die psychologically to our imperfec-
tions, but all of them ignore the true nature of reality. Because of this,
suffering will continue. It is better to psychologically die. To die is
the best, because with death comes what is new, and only what is new
can be in harmony with what is now.
We like when things are new. We like seeing new babies. We like
having new cars, and new clothes. We like owning a new house and
have a new type of drink and food to taste. But
ironically we do not want to be psychologically
new, no. Instead we enjoy the shackles of our
experience, falsely believing it to be the essence of
life. Paradoxically we feel trapped by life, but we do
not want to change our self. This is because we fail
to understand that life is always a psychological
mirror: what is in your outer life is a reflection of
your interior processes. Instead of trying to change
life, we need to change our self. Everything else in
life is of little value.
Christ is the I AM. When Moses saw the
burning bush, the Christmas tree on engulfed in
the Fire and Light of Christ, it said I AM THAT I
AM. This was Christ within Moses. Christ, within Jesus, said:
Think not that I AM come to send peace on earth: I came not to
send peace, but a sword.
For I AM come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her
mother in law.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me:
and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of
me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not
worthy of me.
11
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my
sake shall find it.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me
receiveth him that sent me. Matthew 10:34-40
Christ entering in man represents a revolutionary psychological
transformation, a sword which does not make peace with the errors of
man, but instead works to make him perfect. He is at war with mans
errors. Christ is not interested in the customs of family, and the
actions required to receive Christ are at odds with customs of the
family, of the nation, and of the world.
Most radically, Christ is against the customs of the household,
our psychological household, our own mind. Christ is against all
darkness, all ignorance of the mind. Being that the mind of man is
almost entirely darkness, the nature of Christ is antithetical to the
current nature of man. This is why no one understands Christ and no
one wants to accept the truth behind Christmas:
Though Christ a thousand times in Bethlehem be born
And not within thyself, thy soul will be forlorn.
The Cross on Golgotha thou lookest to in vain
Unless within thyself it be set up again
Angelus Silesius
