Nationally Consistent Collection of Data for School Students with Disability Our school is part of a national project about students with a disability and/or learning difficulties. We have been asked to provide data about the number and learning needs of children at our school. The name of the school and the name of the students will not be reported. Information about the different types of needs, the programs and resources the school uses to overcome barriers and support children with special educational needs will be collected. We believe it is important to contribute to this because it will help Governments and the Department develop better policies that acknowledge the level of resources needed in schools to meet the needs of all students in Western Australia. If you do not want your child/children to be included please make contact with the school office to ensure we are aware that your child is not to be included. The survey is to be conducted on 1 August, early next term. If you would like to learn more about the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data for School Students with Disability you can visit the website. https://education.gov.au/nationally- consistent-collection-data-school-students- disability

Dear Parents/Carers,
At the Yakamia P&C meeting held on the 10/06/2014 we collated registered volunteer numbers for both junior and senior discos and we are still needing a couple more helpers for the junior disco but our main concern is the senior disco. At this point we have only 3 volunteers registered and we are needing at least 15 to be able to still go ahead with the disco.
We will have no choice but to CANCEL both junior and senior discos because of safety concerns and that decision will be made on Monday 16/06/2014 at 3pm.
Volunteers at the disco will be given a task that they are comfortable with and duties include general supervision, toilet numbers supervision, entry and exit supervision, ticket sales, canteen sales and at the conclusion of the disco ensuring all children leave with the appropriate person.
If there is any way you can help on the night it would be greatly appreciated as the discos are one of our major fundraisers for the P&C and this money helps support your child and our school so it would be a shame to have to cancel it.
Please contact the school ASAP to register your help.
Thank you.
