out is a disorder
characterised by
sudden recurring
attacks of painful arthritis caused
by deposits of monosodium urate
crystals which accumulate in
joints because of an abnormally
high uric acid level in the blood.
Joint inflammation can become
chronic and deforming after
repeated attack. Most of the
people who have this attack
develop kidney stone. In
Ayurvedic, this condition looks
like Vatarakta. Vatarakta also
starts at feet. Gout also involves
the metatarso phalangeal joint of
the big toe. Pathogenesis of gout
through the deposit of uric acid
crystals and the influence of
rakta dhatu has got similarity.
Symptoms : Articular features
are characterised in both the
conditions. In Vatarakta janu,
amsa and padasula and southam

HONEYWELL EXPANDS INDIA
Honeywell (NYSE: HON) added its sixth manufacturing
facility in India with the inauguration of a plant that will
manufacture solar water heating systems for its Environmental
and Combustion Controls (ECC) business, adding to other
manufacturing facilities the business has in Chennai and
Dehradun. This business is part of Honeywell Automation India
Limited (HAIL), a $300 million company listed on the Bombay
Stock Exchange (BSE), and the National Stock Exchange
(NSE).
The 50,000-square-foot Vadodara facility will manufacture
solar water heating (SWH) systems for residential, commercial
and industrial applications for the domestic market in India as
well as for export to Southeast Asia and North Africa.
Honeywells Vadodara facility will manufacture 10 solar water
heater variants of stainless steel (SS) and galvanized iron (GI)
material ranging from 100 to 300 liters per day.
Honeywell is a technology leader in energy efficiency
and clean energy generation, with more than 50% of the
companys portfolio linked to energy efficiency, said Beth
Wozniak, president, Honeywell Environmental and Combustion
Controls, who was at Vadodara to officially launch the facility.
Solar water heating technology is evolving as one of the most
energy-efficient methods of heating water. The opening of this
facility marks Honeywells entry into the renewable energy
product manufacturing, and adds to our already broad portfolio
of energy focused products and technologies for customers
worldwide.
Honeywell ECC is global industry leader in integrated
products and solutions in heating, ventilation and air
conditioning (HVAC), building management systems, and
industrial burners and combustion controls.
Honeywells solar water heating system works on the
thermo-siphon principle that allows heat exchange without the
need for a pump. The system uses an advanced triple layer
evacuated tube technology with high absorption and low
emission characteristics. To ensure that water stays hot for
longer, Honeywell provides specially insulated storage tanks
that are robust in structure and resistant to corrosion. These
are available in various sizes and for different climatic
conditions.
With this sixth manufacturing facility, five global
technology and engineering centers, and close to 13,000
employees across 50 locations in the country, Honeywell
continues to demonstrate its commitment to India. As a global
technology leader, Honeywell is well positioned to help address
Indias toughest challenges in energy efficiency, clean energy
generation, safety and security, globalization and customer
productivity, Anant Maheshwari, president, Honeywell India.

An innovative way for
net savvy consumers to gift
instantly, directly and
conveniently to beneficiaries
of a cause of their choice
Amazon.in today launched a unique initiative Gift a Smile
that enables consumers to easily choose and gift products to a
cause they believe in and would like to support.
The platform launches today with ten NGOs that are working
in the area of child development, education, health care and
protection and women empowerment. Participating NGOs, using
the Amazon wish list technology, will create and continually update
a list of items that they need from the over 15 million products
available on amazon.in at www.amazon.in/cares. Consumers can
easily browse through the wish lists of their preferred NGO, select
the items they would like to gift, and be assured that Amazon.in
will deliver the item to the chosen organization. Any and all seller
fees that accrue from these sales on the Amazon.in marketplace
will be donated to the participating NGOs.
A wish list is a tool that helps customers, both individuals
and entities, to identify, save and keep track of products they
want. A public wish list can be viewed by anyone who may
want to purchase product(s) from the list and gift them to their
friends and family, in this case the supporters of the cause and
NGOs.
The NGOs that have created their wish lists are: Magic bus;
Make A Wish foundation; Pratham; READ India; Sahyog; Save
the Children; Bhoruka Charitable Trust; Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti;
Lotus Petal Foundation and Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra. Amazon
Gift a Smile builds on the success of its pilot project, Light Up a
Childs Diwali which was launched in October 2013.
The wish lists include but are not limited to products like
educational toys, books, dictionaries, sports equipment, clothes,
personal hygiene products, as well as items that will help NGOs
provide vocational training (for example, beauty products for
beautician courses targeting girls between 16-20 years) to help
develop sustainable livelihoods. All participating NGOs have been
validated by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), a not-for-profit
organization that offers support to corporate entities, individuals
and PSUs to ensure greater impact of their philanthropic and CSR
investments.
To be a part of Amazon Gift a Smile program, customers can
log on to www.amazon.in/cares and follow the simple four-step
process:
Step 1. Review the causes and click on an NGO to browse
their wish list
Step 2: Select product(s) and Add to Cart
Step 3: Proceed to checkout and select a Gift Registry
Address
Step 4: Choose a payment method and complete payment
Customers on www.amazon.in can now gift with ease and
confidence from over 15 million products across categories
including Books, Movies and TV shows; Kindle Devices, Tablets
and eBooks; Computers & Accessories; Mobiles & Accessories;
