A reflection and Systematization of the Teaching Process
Nowadays, the technology had grown as fast as never feel before because
there are a lot of things that we teacher can apply in the classroom in order to make
class more active and easier to teach in order to make a meaningful learning for the
students. Since the technology is there, this tool facilitated us the way we teach
because we can use that technology in advanced but being teacher is not easy as
we thought it was because more than giving class it is involved hours in planning
and get the right methodology that best work in the classroom but also implicated
good teaching principles and teaching skill which help teacher to manage the
classroom and finally a teacher has to be a consumer of knowledge in order to
transmit their knowledge to the students. Now for best understanding of this
essay, these are the following elements that are going to be developed through this
essay:
1- Explain and include a Teaching Critical Reflection in what you have
been through in you TP and in the course.
2. Explain step by step how you are going to do a systematization
of the Teaching Practice Process.
3. Explain and describe how you are going to apply the e-portfolio
approach including the new learning environment in the ELT.
4. Explain how you are going to deal if you want to use technology
in a school or place of work but there is not Tech in the classroom. What are you
going to do? How are you going to solve the problem? Provide resources that
you will use and the procedures.

1
Introduction
In this essay you will find information, analysis and resources that I used
during my teaching practices. And also an overviewed about the teaching process
because the teaching profession involved a series of things that work with every
personal life, teachers plays an important role of the learning process because we
are perceived as the one who has the knowledge and we are models to follow, in
that way we molded students as we look like because we transmit them what we
know and also we make them change in behavior and life, furthermore, we are the
one who make the society keep moving forward for a better development in the
society.
If we fail as teacher, we fail as society because what we do is to make change
in life, behavior and we molded the society through the students, lets see at this
point, because the students are the ones who reflect our job, the better we are at
teaching, the better society we have because of the students are in advanced and
they are the future outcomes of the society and our failure in this way we fail as a
society.
Teaching Critical Reflection
First of all, it is important to know what a critical reflection means in order
to develop my own critical reflection of my teaching practice. Critical reflection
is the process by which adults identify the assumptions governing their
actions, locate the historical and cultural origins of the assumptions, questions
the meaning of the assumptions, and develop alternative ways of acting (Stein,
2000). The reflections of my own teaching practices goes dipper than the things
that I did during that process because in a way this reflection will help me to
improve the way I used to teach and I can think over in the bad and good things
that happened in my practice and also a critical reflection involve a deeper critical
thought that make the practice realize about their job and how to improve.

2
Through the life, I had expected on my professional formation as an English
teacher that there were some teachers who were well prepared and vice versa
because they sometimes prepared the class, involved students in activities, used
the technology, and finally they did not perform a good rapport in the classroom. I
retake their examples of teaching in order to criticize my own teaching because
what I see in this process is two forces involved; Knowledge and ignorance where
teacher have the power to fight their students ignorances with their knowledge.
However, last experienced make me to reflect on it because we are in charge, and
we have to be in search how to improve and make the classroom better and better
day a day, in short, being innovate with the lesson in order to make class more
active.
In fact, I came up with my reflection and I know that I must to keep
improving all my teaching skills in the teaching field, I have to look for more ways
of teaching and I refer ways of teaching the use of the right methodology which is
a mixed of method and strategies applied in the teaching process which best work
for students , and I have to improve the use of technology in my teaching, because
through the tech I can implement many website as platform, videos, games, and so
on in order to make the thing move forward in the classroom. And there is
something that catch my mind that say there is not bad teachers in the classroom,
despite that there are teachers using the wrong methodology (English Instructor
of (Elmer Jorge, 2014) and that is why I have to be in search about the use of the
right methodology that best work in the classroom in order to success as English
teacher, the ability of manage the right methodology means the differences
between failure or succeed as teacher.

3
Systematization of the Teaching Practice Process
The planning of the course
Effective planning is the basis of successful teaching. Planning begins with
the goals of a particular teaching-learning situation; encompasses means of
attaining those goals, including materials and activities; and terminates with
effective procedures for evaluating the degree to which the instructional goals
have been achieved. Good planning has the potential to build confidence, and
make you feel more secure in lesson execution (teaching, 2014) and another
simple definition is the process of setting goals, developing strategies, and
outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish the goals (Investorwords, 2012)
Thats is mean that before teaching we have to plan the whole course of the
subject in which we are in charge, and that course will include all the achievements
and goals, schedules in order to achieve that goals in a long term. I planned my
course of forty hours and I included all the things and goals to be achieved at the
end of my practices. And also I specified the timeline of every lessons and
activities to be developed in the process whit specific date and timetable.
Syllabus
Syllabus focuses on the needs of the students and their learning
process. A syllabus is a basic contract between the instructor and students,
laying out the responsibilities and expectations on both sides. Its also a road
map that shows the general contours of the course, important milestones, and the
landmarks that will let students know theyre on the right road (CTL, 2013).
Creating the syllabus for me it was one of the harder thing that I planned while my
practice because I centered my forty hours practice in the students need and by
focusing in the three systems and the fourth macro skill of the language which
involve r listening, speaking, reading and writing and also the syllabus is what
define the road of your teaching and somehow you achieve your goals.

4
The outline of the course
An outline is a great way to organize your thoughts. Make the most of time
in your classroom by outlining your lesson plans and sticking to them
(Helenofpylos, 2002). As is mentioned above, sin short the outline is an
organization of all the things, activities, and task to perform during the practices,
basically the outline it is a route or task which explain and support your own
activities. However creating an outline of the course has to be create focusing your
mind in your topics, in addition, the topics that you are going to perform for a
while in your practice, based on that you can establish some activities to do in your
lessons.
Lesson Plans
A lesson plan is a teacher's plan for teaching a lesson. Its purpose is to
outline the program for a single lesson. That is why it is called a lesson plan. It
helps the teacher in both planning and executing the lesson (Essberger, 2013). At
least, the lesson plan it is one of the most important artifact in the teaching process
because it is the map which allocated you in the road and guide you to do your
task in the classroom, in fact, we cannot teach without planning what activities to
do and how we are going to be develop our activities, simply the lesson show as
when to start, how to perform the activities and how to close the lesson without
losing the sequences of a good lesson.
E-portfolio Approach including the new learning environment in the ELT
A portfolio is a collection of work developed across varied contexts over
time. The portfolio can advance learning by providing students and/or faculty
with a way to organize, archive and display pieces of work. (LAAP, 2013) and
also The E-Portfolio is formally defined as a collection of authentic and diverse
evidence, drawn from a larger archive representing what a person or organization
has learned over time on which the person or organization has reflected, and

5
designed for presentation to one or more audiences for a particular rhetorical
purpose (Barker, 2008). As the definition explain, basically the e-portfolio is the
documentation and evidences of your work as teacher and reflect what you have
done in the pass as well as your goals achieved during that process and at the same
time you are updating your experienced through the time.
In addition, I will apply the e-portfolio approach in my practice or my class
because the e-portfolio it is a tool that helps teacher to gather all that is applied in
the classroom and at the end it is what reflect your actions your achievements,
basically the e-portfolio will support your evidences and the reflections of your
evidences as a teacher and it is helpful because you can improve your teaching
style by reflection in your own e-portfolio in order to improve it. But the most
important of creating and apply the e-portfolio is to share your experiences whit
other people by the used of internet, where you can share or embed into your
personal blog if you had one created or even in another web site where some else
will find you.
The ELT (English Language Teaching) there are several aspect to be
consider when we teach a language and how we teach it means the difference of
learning and ignorance because we have to be able to completely manage the
technology in order to make the learning easier and also the methodology we use
for achieve the goals of the teaching has an impact when we decide to teach a
language but the most important thing to take into account it is the innovation
because we have to be a consumer of knowledge and try to look for new ways of
teaching in English environment through the use the technology.
The use of technology in a place where there is no Tech in the classroom
Nowadays, technology is everywhere; here and there we can find a lot of
thing to implement in the classroom in order to used them for innovated of the
class but what if there is no technology. One of the way of include the technology

6
for thus people who do not speak English and in an environment where there is no
technology, it is common in our country and that is what happened to all of our
teacher in high school where they have the technology in order to develop the class
but there are some reason of why we cannot use the resources, maybe we have to
do a preview loan in order to use them or there are no able because there are others
teacher who are using the resources in that moment. I my practice I face that
problem because there were no such as things like computer to use in my class, or
even projector to use but this kind of problems make me innovate my lesson
because I addicted my activities to my students environment where I implemented
the use of the technology at home in that way I make the learning process easy
because they can practice at home what they have learn.
What am I going to do if there is no technology?
What I would do in the case that there is not technology is implement a
mixed of method that best work with the student without the use of sophisticated
technology, like information related with the topic, flashcard, some audio record
where they can practice their listening skill and reading skill as well. So, that
means that I can implement some new activities that involve the four macro skill at
least by making them to interact whit the whole class and activities like; round
table, shame drills, repetition drills, questions and so on because in somehow to
depend of the technology it is a disadvantage in a place where the tech is no there,
so as teacher we have to be in charge of the teaching process and teach in whatever
circumstance we face in our life, that is what I call teaching style what define your
own philosophy and your own personality.
How am I going to solve the problem?
As I mentioned before, if there is no technology we can retake the traditional
way but I will make some change in it, I will innovate my lesson by making some
warm up activities which involved the whole group of students interaction,

7
working out of the classroom, using realia, using the audio lingual method and so
on, and at the end I can implement a drop up activity which reinforce what the
student have learned. All of that things that make students feel different will help
me to have my students motivated and so enthusiastic for learning new
meaningful things for them, and I retake what I said before, here is what define
your own teaching style because it is up to me the way I teach and the innovation
that I implemented in order to develop my class, that is why we have to be
prepared to teach in whatever situation we were because we change students life
and we are the responsible of the students molding of the society.

Conclusion
All in all, I come up with a conclusion of this essay and I can say that while
my first teaching practice I Improved many things in the way I been teaching and
in the way I had been tough before as well, furthermore, that is not enough for
being a good teacher because I realized that I have to improve my teaching skill
and the only way I can notice that, these are the students because the students are
the mirror of my practice and they reflect what I had done if there is the need of
improved something I can do it in order to solve the problem. However, I realized
about teaching that goes deeper than teach and took this profession because of the
money or as work, instead of that we must to love our work because teaching is an
art of change life. Finally, the best way of improve the way we teach it is to be
innovated in our lesson and I know that I have to improve that through the use of
the technology and the right methodology as well.
