on the ri"ht screen@ and to se!ect a 7iew for tutoria! presentation. These commands are

1. D+&)? $OMM)ND This command is an on4off switch for the De!a. mode. This
made b.pass the ;#D)T+ command.

and Auadrant screen mode.

Auadrant or a different screen.

PRECISION INPUT E!"OARD COMMANDS

s.stem.

and C coordinate b. specif.in" a distance (positi7e or ne"ati7e) in wor-in"
units and a def!ection an"!es from the pre7ious input point. This command

options for settin" the te8t Gustification. The status of the Gustification is disp!a.ed in the
status fie!d as it is set.

This command ma-es it easier to p!ace a te8t strin" on an e!ement. (t brea-s the e!ement in
the 7icinit. of the te8t to be p!aced. (t wor- !i-e a partia! de!ete in that the e!ement is
partia!!. de!eted across the !en"th of the te8t strin"@ and the strin" is p!aced and oriented so
that the first and the !ast character are centered on the end of the adGacent remainin"
e!ement se"ments. The siHe of the te8t is determined b. the current!. acti7e te8t hei"ht and
width. The character strin" ma. contain up to 3E character.

hei"ht and width and is offset from the e!ement b. a distance eAua! to the current!. acti7e
!ine spacin"@ each character is p!aced as an indi7idua! te8t strin" and these strin" are
automatica!!. made into a "raphic "roup.

The second data point shou!d be p!ace as c!ose to the ima"inar. !ine as possib!e.

0pecia! te8t p!acement commands are supported to a!!ow p!acement of the te8t abo7e or
be!ow an identified !ine and para!!e! to the !ine. The te8t is p!aced accordin" to the s.stem
!ine spacin" and acti7e Gustification parameters. This command p!aces te8t abo7e4be!ow
shapes and !ine strin"s.

+nter the te8t to be p!aced abo7e the e!ement. (f an. other input is "i7en@ the s.stem wi!!
prompt ENTER CHARACTERS $IRST.
(dentif. the !ine for p!acement with a data point. The e!ement is identified and hi"h!ited.
)ccept the e!ement with data point or reGect it with R on the hand-he!d crusor.
The te8t is p!aced as specified.
Then@ se!ect another e!ement for the te8t p!acement or se!ect another command.
