ARTICLE I
NAME
The name of this organization shall be the Spring Valley Womens Golf Association hereinafter
!no"n as SVWGA#
ARTICLE II
OBJECTIVE
The ob$ecti%e of the SVWGA is to promote a f&n an' frien'ly en%ironment for its members#
Creating learning opport&nities an' an enco&raging atmosphere the SVWGA aims to enhance
the en$oyment of golf# The SVWGA offers to e'&cate members abo&t golf r&les an' eti(&ette#
The SVWGA is 'e'icate' to b&il'ing lasting frien'ships among members#
ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP
A member of SVWGA shall be 'efine' as a "oman "ho has an acti%e golf membership at
Spring Valley Golf Cl&b "ho has pai' ann&al '&es an' "ho complies "ith these )y*la"s# In
or'er to compete as a SVWGA member the player m&st ha%e an establishe' G+I, han'icap#
ARTICLE IV
OFFICERS
The officers of the Association shall be -resi'ent Co*-resi'ent an' Secretary Treas&rer#
All .fficers shall be electe' for a perio' of t"o years#
Election of Office! shall ta!e place in alternate years at the final fall meeting for a term of t"o
years#

The -resi'ent/s0 shall presi'e at all meetings of SVWGA an' shall appoint all s&b*committees
anno&ncing s&ch appointments at the first of each season# She shall also ser%e as an e1*officio
member of all committees#
The Secretary Treas&rer shall atten' all general meetings an' !eep acc&rate min&tes of the
procee'ings in s&ch a form as to ser%e as a permanent recor'# She shall be c&sto'ian of the
)yla"s# She shall han'le all finances in the accepte' manner an' ma!e semi*reports to the
SVWGA at each general meeting#
ARTICLE V
COMMITTEES
Committee Chairs are appointe' by the .fficers an' shall follo" the b&'get g&i'elines
establishe' by the .fficers# Committee Chairs are responsible for s&bmitting a report at the en'
of each year#

Nine %n& Wine2 This chair "ill be responsible for game formats comm&nications to the
members an' pro%i'ing a list of "inners to the .fficers at the en' of the year for prizes#
To#n%(ent C)%i$ This chair "ill be responsible for soliciting committee members to be in
charge of the SVWGA to&rnaments# These to&rnaments are2 3erby 3ay 4emorial 3ay 5&ly

an' Labor 3ay# The committee "ill in cooperation "ith the -ro Shop be responsible for
establishing a game format prizes an' posting information regar'ing game to the members#

charge of the 4ember*G&est To&rnament# The committee "ill in cooperation "ith the -ro
Shop select a 'ate collect all monies an' select pairings# The committee "ill also select a
theme prepare the in%itations 'ecorations an' ac(&ire fa%ors an' a"ar's#
ARTICLE VI
MEETINGS
The SVWGA shall ha%e at least t"o meetings '&ring the year2 Spring*to coinci'e "ith .pening
3ay an' 7all*to coinci'e "ith Closing 3ay#
Special 4eetings may be calle' by the -resi'ent/s0 "hene%er necessary#
In .r'er that members of the SVWGA may be notifie' of any special meetings a minim&m

T"o*Thir's of the members of SVWGA present an' %oting shall constit&te a (&or&m#
ARTICLE VII

4embership '&es m&st be pai' &p to 'ate before competing in any SVWGA e%ent# Amo&nt of
'&es are 869#99# Any increase in '&es recommen'e' by the .fficers shall be %ote' on by the
SVWGA members at the fall year en' meeting#
Any member "ho $oins SVWGA after 5&ly :; "ill ha%e her '&es prorate' for that official golf
season#
ARTICLE VIII
EVENTS
La'ies 3ay shall be T&es'ay an' the season shall r&n the first T&es'ay after the opening br&nch
thro&gh the first T&es'ay in .ctober#
A SVWGA member may play the T&es'ay game the "ee!en' prior to T&es'ay# <o& m&st play
"ith another SVWGA member an' 'eclare that yo& are playing for T&es'ays game before the
ro&n'# .nly one score may be t&rne' in for "ee!en' play# If yo& then play on T&es'ay the
"ee!en' score is %oi'#
ARTICLE I=

-rizes shall be a"ar'e' at the final fall meeting# -rizes "ill incl&'e all "ee!ly la'ies 'ay e%ents>
the recor'e' bir'ies an' the special +oli'ay To&rnaments# The 4ember*G&est prizes are
a"ar'e' on the 'ay of the 4ember*G&est To&rnament#
The Val&e of prizes is at the 'iscretion of the .fficers#
A -rize shall be a"ar'e' each year to the most impro%e' member# The 4ost Impro%e' a"ar'
"ill be comp&te' by the G+I, han'icap system "ith the assistance of the -ro Shop# The
SVWGA members han'icap m&st be establishe' prior to the first of 4ay each year an' "ill be
the beginning han'icap# The en'ing han'icap "ill be the one ma'e bet"een en' of September
an' the first T&es'ay of .ctober of the same year#
ARTICLE =

-lay shall be go%erne' by the r&les of the ?SGA an' any local r&les set forth by Spring Valley
Golf Co&rse#
To be eligible for prizes it "ill be necessary to play "ith another SVWGA member#
-layers in the "ee!ly La'ies 3ay e%ents may not compete in any t"o e%ents sim&ltaneo&sly#

present an' %oting at a SVWGA general meeting#
