Prole

I am a friendly, self motivated, ambitious qualied teacher with a Secondary PGCE in Busi-
ness Education from the University of Manchester with an outstanding grading and Withers
Memorial Prize for academic achievement.
I am currently working in an american elementary school in Mexico City, with over two years
experience teaching both fourth and fth grade implementing the International Baccalaureate
PYP program.
Following a four-year undergraduate degree in Business Studies at the University of Chester, I
spent one year in Shizuoka, Japan as a Childrens Language Consultant teaching English in a
private school. In addition I gained one year experience teaching GCSE and A Level Busi-
ness Studies in British schools.
I am TEFL certicated with a 40 hour teaching and grammar course. While living in Mexico I
have studied Spanish to a level B1.
I have four years experience working in a business environment ,which has included experi-
ence in a high street retail environment in an Apple Retail Store.

Current position and teaching experience

I have ve years teaching experience in a variety of roles including elementary, GCSE (ages

In this role with Interac, one of Japans leading providers of assistant language teachers, I
spent one school year teaching English at a private after school language center. The role
focussed on preparing and delivering teaching schedules for students aged from 2 to 9 years
of age with a mixed range of language skill.
The nature of the work challenged me to develop both my communication skills and my
ability to adapt to a completely alien environment overcoming language and cultural barriers.

marketing and retail operations including inventory and stock management.

Microsoft Ofce suite. In particular I enjoy integrating technology within the classroom in
order to create engaging interactive lessons.

Hobbies and Interests

In my spare time I enjoy being active and participate in a number of sports, including boxing,
football, running, basketball and swimming. I am a keen musician; playing acoustic guitar
and bass.
I enjoy traveling, in particular the excitement of experiencing new cultures and meeting new
people. Traveling has also fuelled my passion for photography and language.
