SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
On June 13, 2014 in New York City, the tourism and nance capital of the
world, lodging leaders from around the globe will convene at the 36th Annual
NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference. The NYU
Conference will feature general sessions, workshops, and networking events
to provide data, analysis, perspectives, insights and opportunities.

development of a diverse student body
that is experiencing the living laboratory
of New York City the undergraduate and
graduate students of the Preston Robert Tisch
Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports
Management at New York University.
Contributions from the Patron and Sponsor

provide Tisch Center student scholarships and
support academic programs of the NYU-SCPS

Jonathan M. Tisch is Co-Chairman of the Board and
a member of the Offce of the President of Loews
Corporation, one of the largest diversifed fnancial
holding companies in the U.S., and is also Chairman
of its subsidiary, Loews Hotels. During his tenure
as CEO from 1989 through 2011, Tisch engineered
Loews Hotels expansion and emergence as a
leading luxury hotel brand by infusing the properties
with a widely praised corporate culture that places a
high value on partnerships that empower employees,
satisfy customers, contribute to communities, and
improve the bottom line. Tisch initiated the Loews
Hotels Good Neighbor Policy over 20 years ago, the
frst of its kind in the hospitality industry. Today, the
Good Neighbor program underscores his enduring
commitment to good corporate citizenship, social
responsibility, and the health of our environment and
communities. The Loews Good Neighbor Policy is a

Chairman of The Welfare to Work Partnership, and
currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Tufts
University, where he is also the naming benefactor
of the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and
Public Service.
Tisch is the author of three best-selling books
that explore his leadership philosophy and civic
engagement: The Power of We: Succeeding Through
Partnerships, Chocolates on the Pillow Arent
Enough: Reinventing the Customer Experience,
and Citizen You: Doing Your Part to Change the
World. He also hosted the Emmy-nominated and
Gracie Award-winning television series, Beyond the
Boardroom with Jonathan Tisch, where he spoke
with some of Americas preeminent CEOs and
business luminaries. Tisch is a co-owner of the New
York Football Giants and was instrumental in bringing
the 2014 Super Bowl to the metropolitan area, where
he served as co-chair of the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl
Host Committee. This is Mr. Tischs twentieth year as
Conference Chair.

The NYU Tisch Center, now in its second decade
of academic excellence, is a leading center for
the study of hospitality, tourism and sports.
The Tisch Center is named for Preston Robert
Tisch, a pioneer and visionary, recognized
globally for his leadership in the hospitality,
tourism and sports industries, as well as for his
civic service. A dedicated supporter of New York
City, he represented everything positive about
New York hospitality, tourism and sports. Mr.
Tisch was Chairman and Co-CEO of the New
York Giants, and while providing leadership of
Loews Hotels and Loews Corporation, he served
for 19 years as Chair of the New York Convention
and Visitors Bureau, and was instrumental in the
award-winning I Love New York campaign.
The Center was founded in July 1995 with
hospitality and tourism programs, and sports
management was added in 1998. The faculty
plans a curriculum to prepare future leaders in
our sectors. The Preston Robert Tisch Center
offers two bachelors degrees, three masters
degrees, three graduate certifcates and
continuing education and certifcate programs.

Registration for the 36th Annual NYU International
Hospitality Industry Investment Conference will
remain at USD $1,975. This fee includes access
to scheduled breakfasts, luncheons, receptions,
workshop sessions and one (1) set of materials
for each paid participant. Invited speakers
are pre-registered.
